    I think this area is the most beautiful place in Central where you can see a lot of cherry blossoms during the cherry blossom season. It's also safe.

    John Purroy Mitchel (1879 – 1918) was the 95th mayor of NYC, from 1914 to 1917. At age 34 he was the second-youngest ever; he is sometimes referred to as "The Boy Mayor of New York." Died in the line of duty in the WWI (non-combat airplane crash in Louisiana).

    Near the reservoir, and many cherry trees (which are actually trees gifted by japan 100 yrs ago) great view of blossoms in the spring.
