This gym is the absolute worst! There is an entire half row of treadmills that don't work. Half the machines are broken! No good air filtration/ventilation because it smells like a sweat shop in there. Good luck getting a good machine. I go there because it's convenient and 5 minutes away from me. I've complained numerous times. I hope it can get fixed soon. Hard to get a machine now because it's so congested and half of them are broken

I’ve been coming to this location for yrs . The summer program is not the best idea. It's not free. Members dues pay for it. Minors should be supervised by an adult. What about gym etiquette??? Cool gym with great staff. However, I don't like their treadmills because you can't hold on while doing incline. In addition, I also knocked over my water bottle 3 times because their treadmill bottle holder isn't deep enough.

All planet fitness locations recently changed from a 24 hour gym to closing at 11pm. Deal breaker for me seeing how packed this place gets. 5 in line to use a smith machine? I was just there and had to leave. I counted 13 cardio machines out of order. 3/4 months ago the cable fly machine and tanning was down for like a month. They do not care about you here and I'll tell you why. This spot is in a low income minority neighborhood. To prove my point go to the ones in Long Island City queens or Astoria. Those places are spotless with working machines. Also a little deceiving that the posted pictures for this location aren't actually from this location. Time to go back to Blink or Retro.

One of the worst spot I been. There are many broken machines but with no sign. Wasted like 10 minutes jumping from machine to machine. The paper towel dispensers are empty, only one has paper that is located all they way in the back by the time you go get a towel the only machine working has been taking by another member. Back when I first joined in 2019 if you were to use the black card spa you would sign in the sheet as well as scan once more to confirm your membership status. They stopped doing that at least a year ago. Used the massage chair twice today under false names and even the signature itself was different than the printed name and was still given access. I've formally brought this up a multitude of times and nothing has been done. In addition, • Water fountains haven't worked since the initial 2020 lockdown. Try them. • Roughly 30% of the lockers in the men's room have broken locks which would cost about $200 total with a reputable handyman to fix. Pass a collection plate around the staff and get it done. • If a machine happens to break, it's takes them 1-2 business years to fix.

Prior review--Def the most crowded PF i've been too and Ive tried going here at different hours and days and it's hard to keep a weight training routine. It has not changed! Just came back from this PF location on Roosevelt and I did not even finish the usual workout I wanted to do. You'd think it's a holiday it would less people but people still take their time on their cell phone or just slouching on a machine For instance I waited on an abs machine where a lady was on it. I decided to use 2 other machines only to comeback and same lady still there. I waited about 4 mins while she peruses her phone and I asked if she was using the machine to which she said Yes. She obviously wasn't! Had to go back and down the steps just to figure out which machine is free and it def takes a while for anyone to finish there loooong routine in one machine. But one good thing going on is there is always someone cleaning the machines. I understand we are connected to our cellphones but a lot of the people def spend more time on cell phone or just taking loong breaks between reps

The staff is friendly but the issue is with the equipment. At any given time, a third of the machines are out of service/have a malfunction (especially the treadmills), the weights are always missing from the racks, and it tends to be over capacity during the busy times. Please invest in either a bigger space or fix all of the equipment so everyone can work out.

This place is a mess but it’s my only choice for when I want to stay local. By far one of the worst PFs I’ve been to and there definitely is way better locations. The people don’t have any gym manners, the equipment is never organized and it’s usually dirty broken or both and overcrowded even at 4am. (and unless you lift extra ridiculously heavy I wouldn’t recommend going at those hours because Roosevelt gets real ghetto at that time) The women’s lockers are almost all taken by people who leave their stuff overnight and multiple days. I hate that this is my only local option but if you need a quick workout then just focus on your reps and don’t look up. They need to expand this location asap and enforce proper gym etiquette if they want any improvement.

I was going to the PF in LIC which was beautiful. But I moved and decided to go here... THE WORST THING I DID. Dirty, crowded, machines are in need of replacement, just very dirty in general. People are like in top of each other. Not a good idea with this covid. Ended up canceling my membership because it was just too disgusting.

Every time I go there several machines are broken, without fail. It's awful. The place is packed after work, but of the 2 of each of the most popular machines, at least one or two of each is broken. Always. It makes it nearly impossible to get anything done in a reasonable period of time. They supposedly renovated the place recently but the only difference that was noticeable was, I'm not kidding, higher than usual numbers of broken machines. I went to cancel my membership and overheard an employee complaining that one of the phones at the front desk doesn't work. About par for the course.

My main issue with this gym is the poor ventilation system. It’s hot and smelly during the warmer months, it just doesn’t motivate me to go. There’s not a lot of floor space which is something I don’t like since I do pilates. I stay away from the crowded downstairs, it’s not fun. Upstairs cardio room is fine though!

Good affordable gym experience. Updated equipment. The downstairs weight area gets very busy during peak times but it's never interfered with me getting the workout I want. If you have the Planet Fitness app you can check the business trends and plan around that.

I'm very greatful for the program for teens, thanks to this program my daughter went all summer and she liked it so much that she became a member and we both enjoy going together. It's very nice location, stuff really helpful and respectful too. I really enjoy that they include 80's music for some of us not so young and my daughter like it too!

Horrible horrible experience! The hydromassage are not working. The manager had a very rude attitude. I have an electrical scooter and asked to leave it inside for literally 10 minutes to use the massage chair, and they would not allow me. The weeks before I was letting it downstairs, now i couldn t leave it for 10 min. And I understand everything, but this rude attitude literally force me to never come here back!

I travel a lot, visit a lot of Planet Fitness facilities and this one was by far the dirtiest. The employees just stood around as people dropped trash everywhere. Weights were all over the place and the equipment was old, rusty and just all around poor. Usually have a great experience, not so much this time.

This club is not enforcing mask compliance. I asked three different members to put their masks on only to have them take it off a few minutes later. I spoke to the front desk and the girl working there said she was alone and could not do anything about it. When her coworker came back, I did not see him do anything about it either. There was one member (whom I asked to put his mask on) who was working out on a machine literally in front of the front desk. He took his mask back off and the front desk staff said nothing. On my way out, I spoke with them again. I asked what they were doing about mask enforcement and they looked at me blankly. At this point I was getting more frustrated and asked why they had not said anything to the man that was working out with no mask on the machines in front of where they were standing. No acknowledgement of my speaking to them. It was as if I wasn't even speaking to them. I asked if they heard what I said. No acknowledgement. Completely unprofessional behaviour with a blatant disregard for the health of the club members. This noncompliance is what will get the club shut down and affect all the members because a few members refuse to wear masks and the employees don't enforce mask wearing.

This location is very busy. Best time to go is very late. Equipment selection is decent, with some machines having doubles. Additionally, keep in mind that some patrons dont have gym etiquette and hog the machine for some time. Had to wait for a leg extension machine for 40 minutes because the patron just sat there for 10 minutes in-between sets. Also bring a hand towel to wipe the machines as dispensers run out of paper towels and are.sloq to be refilled.

The location is okay, not too sketchy, I visited the club when I flew to the city for business and I needed to continue my workout plan for the week. Due to the small number of machines and the amount of people in the club, I was barely able to do much. The location gets really crowded, no matter the time, if you want to follow through your workout plan, be ready to spend 2 or 3 times the time you normally take to finish working out.

I have been a regular customer for this place for a long time. I just started going back after the pandemic, I am very happy to say their cleaning services is very well. Specially, this one lady name Chela, I see her every time I go here cleaning every corners and every equipments with so much effort and attention and I don’t usually write reviews but I am very impressed and now I feel safe to come back here with no concern about hygiene of this place. It’s been 6 months and still half of the treadmills are not working at all. This is ridiculous as other planet fitnesses I’ve been to have no problems at all with their machines. Half of the ellipticals as well are either broken or make a loud crunching noise every time you move. This place is always packed and it’s hard to get a machine when half of them are broken. Management needs to be aware of these issues as I’ve complained several times to the employees to let their managers know and still the issue is not fixed. Until they fix these issues, I wouldn’t recommend this gym to anyone and to either go to a different planet fitness or a different gym.

I actually like PF in general and I got the black card to use other gyms. All the suburban locations have been great, and most of the NYC ones are OK. This one is trash! They need to open another one nearby or actually do the 24/7 thing bc it is really hard to work out here. There are lines for everything and lots of machines broken. You can never find 2 matching dumbbells, they're scattered around the gym cause there is no room to move anywhere and staff doesn't pick up. My reply to owners comment--How is the staff going to address my concerns? Are they going to put in a new ventilation system and add more square footage if I ask nicely enough?

Great big gym space. Tons of nice machines that most people wipe down when they're done. It feels crowded because there's no floor space for stretching or whatever and there are loads of people there at all hours of the day. It's a good product and tons of people feel the same way.

Poor costumer service, staff is very rude... specially a girl who claims her name is Katherine... manager is never available to speak on the phone with clients... they opened in September without informing clients and when confronted about that, her response was “it was all over the news” THATS NOT INFORMING YOUR CLIENTS... Its a decent gym, i didnt have high expectations to begin with. Good for beginners, id say its pretty good for amount of money one pays for a gym membership gets crowded a lot of times, weights are limited but they have enough equipped to get through intermediary weight lifting. One good thing about app is it has crowd meter so do check that before you head in if you want to avoid the crowd

The place has most machines you would expect, but good luck getting any of them. They have a ton of cardio machines and they are always open, but if you are there for a machine or weights you need a lot of time and patience. The water bed is pretty good, massage chair is kinda like a mall chair but with the legs. Overall I would say the black card stuff is the best part but not really worth it, it’s just better than the actual gym part. So no matter when I go I still have a problem finding something other then cardio that’s open.
