It has ALMOST everything you need for a decent workout. They renovated the bathrooms but it still looks a tad dingy and dark. You're not allowed to jump rope in the gym which makes no sense as that's the most intense form of cardio. The tanning beds are dirty and massage beds never work but for $10 per month it's functional enough to get you started on your fitness journey, esp if you're a newbie. The black card is approximately $20 (per month) and allows you to add 1 to 2 guests onto your account. Inquire at front desk about initiation fees.

I go here periodically when in the Bronx, and about 3 weeks ago, I went at 9:30pm- and when I got back to my locker at 11:30pm, it had been broken into. My brand new MOOSE KNUCKLES coat was stolen, wallet gone, credit cards, I. D and keys, all GONE. They did leave my pants and bag, though. And they even took the lock itself. It was a Master combination lock. So, if you go here, don’t use the lockers. Incidentally, I went to the gym on w35th the week prior, and I actually forgot to close the lock on my locker and didn’t notice until I returned to the locker room to leave, yet all my belongings were still there! Well, I the cops TWICE! They never came, so I left. Then 2 hours later, they called and said they had arrived at the gym, AFTER I had to Uber home with a tank top and no coat, on a cold night! No cameras inside the locker room, of course. I did go back the next day and speak to the assistant manager, she was sympathetic. The staff as a whole was understanding, actually. But I was not allowed to view the cameras to see if anyone walked out with my coat on, or to see whose bag may have seemed over STUFFED when exiting. They said only the cops could view it. BTW, I did go to the precinct and file a police report on my next day off, but I am not optimistic about this outcome. I had to cancel all my cards, order everything again, replace the locks on my home, since they had my I.D my and my keys. Just terribly inconvenient. Who the F*** steals someone’s coat? Will I ever see my SOLD OUT coat again? I’m so happy I didn’t wear any jewelry that day. Why leave my valuable belongings in a locker, someone asked. Well, why NOT? Am I to carry around a down coat while working out? I’ve been going to gyms since I was teen, and I’ve never had anything stolen from me, or from anyone I know. I haven’t gone to this location since. But if I see someone with this unique coat on in this area, I’m getting my coat BACK!!!

The facility is nice and the location is very convenient, but I had to cancel my membership just after one month due to the rude amateur crowd that regularly patronizes this place. It seems to be more of a hang out spot than a gym. People loiter on the equipment for long periods of time not doing anything but fidgeting with their phones, talking to their friends, and not allowing others to use the equipment. Then other people take the free weights and hold on to them like it’s their personal property. They have several bars stacked next to them as if they’re in their own personal home gym. Not to mention that this place already has a limited amount of good equipment and really isn’t a full gym. Complaints to management go absolutely nowhere, because they’re making money as-is. The budget friendly membership fee attracts a lot of teenagers and chatty people who are not serious about working out. If you’re a person that likes to hit the gym after work & get in a nice 45 min or better workout, this location is not for you. For that reason alone, it’s worth it to pay an extra few dollars and go to a gym where the crowd is actually there to workout and everyone who goes respects that.

I like the convience of the place and the hours. But the gym stinks all the time. Lack of supplies like toilet paper hand paper and cleaning sprays, hand soap. There is a clear lack of sanitizer dispensers. Machines are broken, broken lockers and out of use for a long time. A constant problem for me is the lack of weights downstairs the some members are always hogging up the time on the free weights. And now they allowing kids in the gym for the whole summer for free. I went last Friday and it was packed like a club. There has to be a fire safety capacity limit as to how many members can be in the gym at a time.

A few months ago, I felt confident about returning to the gym. I didn't have any desire to go due to COVID-19. I was pleasantly surprised to see how clean and safe this Planet Fitness facility was. The staff members are so polite and pleasant. They do their best to keep the equipment clean. The problem that I do have is with some of the clients. They throw their dirty paper towels on the floor after cleaning the equipment, some talk loud on their phones or with the people who are working out with them, and some try to treat this gym like it's their private gym at home. Let's all respect this gym and fellow patrons using this facility.

Good luck with the classes with the personal trainer. This people do not respect people's times. I scheduled 2 appointments with a personal trainer. When I showed for the first one, he told me he was by himself and that nobody else from his coworkers showed up. My only option was walk out. The second time, I even called to make sure the trainer was there. They told me he was there and that I could go. When I showed up almost 3 minutes before my appointment time, I was told he was on break and I needed to wait about 20 minutes. After waiting a couple of minutes I decided it was not fair and it was unprofessional from the staff to play with the members' time. I told the lady at the front desk, they should not have appointments available during the time the trainers are on lunch. I clearly told her I have to do things on my own or use the workouts routine in the app. If trainers can't make it to some or most of the appointments why do they have them available in the app? You should do better than this Planet Fitness. I used to go to the one on 225 and never had this issue. I am trying this one because I moved to the neighborhood. I should have followed my friend's advice of joining Blink instead.

I go to this gym every day and I never see a manager around. The gym is seriously lacking inventory and organization. There is a need for more weights and dumbbells. There are 5 mats for the entire gym???? Hooks are missing. There are 7 benches total, so good luck getting to one first. No extra small ones around for those who don’t want to lift under the bars. The soap dispenser in the woman’s bathroom has been broken for months. The stairmaster was out of order for MONTHS before it was fixed. There are so many things that need improvement. Again, staff does the best they can, (shoutout to Omar!) but management needs to step up and actually stock up on equipment. There are more and more members signing up every day and inventory is staying the same. It really doesn’t make sense and management clearly doesn’t care. Just a few suggestions to start. Please do better for your members.

Its the closest gym around so it's a place to hit. Overall is overspaced, but the equipment is not at its best standard alot of it will be out of use so very often, bench press section is always busy and people are always hanging around it, as it is a very common workout need more bench press machines! Which can be placed more upstairs where all these bikes are in large number and barely used. Staff is alright sometimes indifferent, lockers in locker room most of them are broken....Only one cable cross over option machine... no T-BAR equipment.... It used to be less crowded when it used to be 24h open, weekend hours are such short opening late and closing such early 7pm, while the rest of the days it will now close at 11 PM on Friday at 10 PM? Inconsistent

It is so good to be back in a gym. Definitely the best place to go if you want to burn a few pounds and build figure. The protocol for Covid prevention really helps with social distance.

While I haven't been to this particular gym in a while I will tell you it's the best gym I've been to. I was a pretty heavy set guy and got teased at blink....so I walked up to PF and signed up simply because of their no judgemen policy.

Machines are constantly broken or about to be broken. Takes several weeks to replace or repair. Cushions are tore up. Staff doesn’t really do anything. They changed their hours and close at 7pm on weekends which is kind of early. Especially considering they used to be 24/7. They’re are now lines for certain machines which will add 20-30 mins to your work out.

I like that it is pretty clean, I feel a bit lost among the machines like a maze but fine, the staff is attentive and active and the worst thing is that it is always super busy

I started working out here a month ago everything was fine But on October 11 when I went to get my things from the locker rooms I unlocked my lock and all my items were stolen my supreme bag with my things in it the pants I wore over my shorts and house and work keys Anything valuable I kept on my person Staff wasn’t much help since they don’t have cameras in that area just took down the information that’s all Don’t leave anything in the locker rooms thinking it’s going to be safe

It’s a nice planet fitness. Not the best one in the Bronx but they have a great staff and 90% of the machines work well. Bathrooms could be cleaned more often and paper towel dispensers are sometimes neglected. From my experience the members at this gym have a little ego problem with the machine hogging but what can ya do, push them off?😆...

This my first time going to this gym. When u enter it's all eyes on u..And that can be uncomfortable at times. The equipment is kinda close to each other. Small locker rooms.Just go without any expectations.

I recently returned back to my black membership at the Fordham location since pre-pandemic. The staff literally signed me up at like 3 o'clock in the morning on Black Friday. The location is super clean. The staff that I haven't countered thus far in such a short period of time or warm and inviting cordial informative, very patient, very friendly, and best of all genuine. I recommend this location not only because they are primarily 24 hours 365, but because of the environment and the ambience in the energy they provide their patrons. If you're looking for a great place to work out and be in your zen this is it.

It is not too crowded in the mornings. I am able to do my routine freely. The staff keeps it clean. It is convenient for me to 4 or D trains. There are plenty of buses as well.

I go between 12 and 5am no crowd. I got to use tje machines i wanted that usually r dominated by men. My daughter went at 12midniggt and she ran into that issue of men dominating the machine ...planet f needs to assert time limits on machines men r so aggressive @the wrong time! They have massage chairs didnt like the bak massage.and their hydro machine is broke! Awesum time though n clean that selfish people stuff is the whack there!

Having not been to this location in a few years I rejoined recently. While after 4:30 it got quite crowded and it took me a while to get used to the new machines by my second visit, earlier in the day, my second workout went much more smoothly. Situated close to home, I am glad I decided to go back.

It's chill, from time to time some equipment might be out of order but it's usually fixed in short time. No bad experiences with staff, all of them are good people. I've been going here for months and it's been great.

Best option in NYC right now. I've tried 24 hour fitness(complete garbage) and blink fitness(okay but small, less locations and not open 24 hours). I am used to very high end gyms from Dallas Texas so I was dissatisfied at the weak options in NYC but planet fitness is definitely the best choice right now. -Someone that has been trying out different gyms all his life.
