The views from this teeny little park are spectacular! The whole East River unfolds before you. There are benches and grass, so summer people brought picnic blankets. Very cute and simple little park. Grass, Ben's and the most amazing views. Enjoy

I've come here many times since I first posted these pictures. It's one of my happy places. I sit by the water and relax while I enjoy the view. I also enjoy the flowers when you first come into the park and walk the pathway. It never gets boring here. I love it in all seasons. I've seen Geese, Ducks and even Swans swim by plus different kinds of boats. Plus there are the helicopters and other kinds of aircraft. I've also met lots of doggies. It's really a wonderful park. I also love the big mural at the entrance. I have tons of pics that I've taken here. I will add some more to this review when I have a chance. I love Transmitter Park.

My new favorite. You have a view of the Williamsburg bridge and a great place to enjoy a latte. Saw a guy meditating on the rocks too.

Nice little parks with some history behind it. I loved the mural on the wall and it has a playground and a Pier. Seems like the group of volunteers are doing a good job keeping it maintained. But they definitely need bathrooms other than porta potties

It was great and comfy park enjoyed it so much. The weather was awesome and the view was electrifying in its beauty. The river the green lawn and the city lights, towers, and bridges give this place a feeling of calmness mixed with the power and mightiness of the biggest city. Manhattan and the Hudson at its whole glory and beauty. Big lights will inspire you indeed.

Ive never experienced a dull moment here. You can gain artistic inspiration and simultaneously feel less alone if you have the fortitude to endure the chaotic bubbling, gurgling and overflowing of this melting pot. People act absolutely psychotic and use this park as a stage to get a rise from young couples or yuppies with babies in expensive posh outfits. Lots of dogs fighting. I’ve overheard unhinged plots and seen many a lewd scandal. I came here for the Smells 907 extinguisher and stayed cause I fell asleep in the grass utterly tuckered but all the stimulation.

This feels like a secret park that you only stumble upon by accident or are told about it. Absolutely a hidden gem of a tiny park. lots of families, dog walkers and picnics everywhere. Seems to even be a popular fishing spot. Views are amazing over the East River looking to Manhattan (Mid Town I think). Honestly I would venture here just for the sunset and grab a meal at one of the nearby wonderful restaurants (eg: 21 Greenpoint, that had a Michelin bib award).

You’re going to get one of the more private and astounding views of Manhattan from here. Plus, you don’t have swarms of people taking up space like in Dumbo. I’d argue this is one of many perks of living in Greenpoint. PS, my camera is really not doing this place just.

This is a calm and relaxing park with a small kids playground at the back and a large grass area. There are plenty of benches and a small area to sit next to the river's edge. The old transmitter office still stands in the center, but is still unused (it could make a great coffee counter!). In the evening, there's a great hushed atmosphere here with people walking along the shore and up the pier. Careful of all the dog mess on the grass if you sit here!

Small park with a playground for kid. Calm and quiet place to relax. Lots of benches available to sit. People bring their dogs to the park. Their is a pier that extends about ~200m into the east river where people where fishing. Their is a great view of the Midtown Manhattan skyline and you can even see Downtown Brooklyn, Downtown Manhattan Con Edison plant and the Williamsburg Bridge from the pier. I saw lots of locks on the pier, I assume people come here and place them for some significance… if you know why it’s done then please let me know what’s the meaning of this.

STUNNING views, especially in the evening when Manhattan is lit up. So peaceful, you hear the East River mini waves, great for dog walking. Compared to the Big Apple, this side of the river is super relaxed. Love the mural!

One of the best things about New York is how many parks there are. Where I’m from, public parks (in decent, usable condition) are rare which is why I cherish the opportunity of having a place to sit down and just take everything nature has to offer. WNYC Transmitter Park isn’t easy to go to as it’s nestled in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, but definitely one to see if you happen to be in the area. Reminds me a bit of that scene in 500 days of summer.

All the views at this sneaky cool Greenpoint park. Have an impromptu picnic, meet friends for a byo hang or arrange a low key IRL date meet. Bonus points if you are there for sunset.

Honestly, I'm so sad I didn't discover this gem of a park before! Absolutely love the view of Manhattan, and the nice kind of mini-gulf where the tide goes up and down through. The walkway that goes into the East River is also very nice.

If not for the waterfront location this park wouldn’t be much of a destination- it’s smallish and pretty overgrown and unkempt. There’s a playground and the old transmitter building for WNYC- wouod be so great if someone turned it into a snack bar or canteen! There was single portapotty but no services other than that. Excellent waterfront view though!

Great little park on the water front. Playground is fun for kids to explore. Good park to sit on the bench have lunch and enjoy the sunset. In the summer they even play movies on the wall. Really nice addition to Greenpoint.

Wow.... such a refreshing place to spend some alone time. Though it’s a small place but has everything... kids playground, some place to sit & walk around with family & friends. I think I’ll go again whenever I want to get a fresh mood.

Beautiful nook in Greenpoint. A great picnic destination (can be crowded but it’s almost always possible to find a bench); neat detour during a stroll through the neighborhood; perfect for views from walkways built out into the River of Manhattan’s skyline and the Williamsburg Bridge. Happened on a summer film series tonight.

The WNYC has been transformed info a nice oasis. The WNYC is popular with locals, it is quiet park with plenty of space. Perfect place to play.

Really like the panoramic view. Walking out on the walkway really did it for me. Remembering it is new york. Graffiti everywhere. But if you're looking for a beautiful place to see manhattan, this is it. Especially when the sun is shining on me and. They seem to be growing even more buildings and this area. An area that doesn't necessarily need it. But, it is a waterway. Worth the walk

Stunning view of the NYC skyline and a long pier to walk “over” the East River. I hope the fences placed in April 2022 will be removed. It’s been a great place to relax and wind down - with such a unique urban view.

It's springtime now, and this place is simply wonderful. I come here to unwind, reflect, and let my creative juices flow. Everyone here is doing their own thing, such as reading books, conversing, tanning, just plain sitting on benches being in the now, or walking their dogs and enjoying the beautiful scenes of the water, rocks, skyline, and the most delicious breeze. There's also a stunning pier you can stroll on, with benches to sit and appreciate the view. I'm thrilled to see the new beautiful high-rise luxury condo buildings being built nearby. I'm happy for the owners/lessees of these condos. What a sight, what a neighborhood! This place is gorgeous and peaceful, reminding me to live peacefully.

WNYC Transmitter Park is a small park in Brooklyn and located directly on the river. The park itself is underwhelming, and the green space was recently seeded so not available for sitting or walking. But the main reason to visit this park is for the view of the Manhattan skyline: with no obstructions between you and the city, you can look directly across the river and enjoy the view.

Walk the dog here every morning and there’s a small ad hoc dog off leash area where it’s a bit fenced off. Great view of the city, super chill atmosphere!
