Summertime down here is awesome. Brings out the best in everyone. My daughter and I got out here early, thank goodness. It was already warming up and a nice breeze kicking up. Watched a few handball games and did some shopping. I really enjoy coming to Coney Island. Highly recommended if you come out to NY. Bonus, if you love the old school movie Warriors. They filmed some of it here at C.I.

Very nice way to spend a few hours on our trip to NYC. We took the subway from Manhattan (took us about 50 minutes). We walked up and down the boardwalk, people watched, dipped our toes in the water and ate a hotdog. We didn’t go to the amusement parks, seems mostly for kids. Hada great time, Totally worth the effort to visit this place!

Cute place, and of course very iconic, as it's been featured on movies and shows over and over again. We went mid-May in the afternoon, and it was quite windy and a bit chilly with the breeze coming off the water. It was a busy, slightly crowded place, but there was plenty of space for relaxed strolling, grabbing a covered seat to people watch for a little bit, and buying a drink from one of the many restaurants. There are a lot of smaller things to do and see, and it seemed to be very family friendly! Definitely not the highlight of our trip, but it was super cute and worth seeing, and was a nice place to stroll through and sit down at for a little while between our visit to the aquarium and our dinner reservation.

So let’s say this is not the same Coney Island from early 90s this place definitely revamped. It was fun and they had Alot rides for small children. The price was fair. I truly enjoyed I haven’t been since a child. Best way is train to avoid looking for parking.

Title: The Heartbeat of Coney Island: An Unforgettable Journey Along the Riegelmann Boardwalk Review: Five stars do not suffice when rating the enchanting Coney Island's Riegelmann Boardwalk. This historical gem of New York City is a beautiful, dynamic canvas painting vivid portraits of American culture for nearly a century. Like a portal, stepping onto this 2.7-mile-long stretch of the boardwalk is like stepping into a timeless tale of joy, discovery, and cultural effervescence that soothes the soul and invigorates the spirit. From the breathtaking panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean to the captivating silhouette of the Manhattan skyline, the Riegelmann Boardwalk offers an immersive experience that transcends ordinary beach visits. Not to mention the unmatched exhilaration of the iconic amusement parks such as Luna Park, Deno's Wonder Wheel, and Steeplechase Park - each one is a rite of passage for thrill-seekers and nostalgic souls alike. Every step along the boardwalk is like walking through a living museum, breathing history and exuding an aura of nostalgia. The collective cheers from MCU Park, the sweet allure of cotton candy vendors, the chorus of seagulls, and the rhythmic echo of rollerbladers merge into a symphony that resonates with the heart of Coney Island. The boardwalk serves as the cultural pulse of the island, punctuated by vibrant Latin, hip-hop, and freestyle dance events that bring the passage to life under the talented mix of local DJs. Participating in karaoke events further amplifies the exhilarating sense of community. There's nothing quite like those warm summer nights under the neon lights, swaying to the rhythm of music and the anticipation of the spectacular Friday fireworks. A true cornerstone of the boardwalk is the New York Aquarium, a must-visit that overlooks the path and holds the wonders of the marine world within its walls, enchanting families year after year. The colorful souvenir shops are filled with mementos, each a piece of the island's soul ready to be taken home. The boardwalk, with its compelling legacy, is not just about nostalgia but also about embracing the present. From its mid-19th-century origins as a private resort to its recognition as a New York City Scenic Landmark in 2018, the boardwalk continues reinventing itself while honoring its roots. Today, it stands revitalized and more vibrant than ever, creating timeless memories for locals and tourists. This review cannot capture the intangible magic that Coney Island's Riegelmann Boardwalk offers, a magic that lies in laughter-filled days on the beach, mesmerizing cultural events, adrenaline-pumping amusement rides, and quiet moments of reflection as the sun sets against the city skyline. This boardwalk is where memories are not just made; they are cherished, fostering an unwavering bond with the location that, like the ceaseless waves against its sandy shores, keeps drawing us back, year after year. Coney Island's Riegelmann Boardwalk is more than a tourist attraction; it's an enduring testament to New York's cultural resilience and a timeless capsule of collective joy. It's a place that is felt before it's seen, and even after leaving, it lingers, stays with you, and becomes a part of you. Because at the end of the day, this boardwalk is not just a place; it's an experience that deserves nothing less than five stars and a heart full of gratitude.

I can't say enough about Coney Island. Everything about this place is fun and nostalgic. I've been visiting Coney Island since I was four years old. Now that my son is the same age, coming here stirs up so many memories. The boardwalk is so awesomely crowded with a diverse blend of people. Luna Park has great rides and some coasters, too. My favorite part of Coney Island is the food. Everything is here to eat within walking distance. All the games are fun to play, and the prizes got a lot better. When I was young, I traveled here on the D train. Now I get here with my car and I have to say that parking around this area is challenging. Overall, I highly recommend coming to visit Coney Island with the family and create some amazing memories.

The boardwalk is good and runs across the heart of Coney Island. On the way are various Nathan’s famous restaurants, the legendary Luna Park and Deno’s park, featuring the Cyclone and Wonder Wheel, and other restaurants. There’s some restrooms along the way. The beach is ok but unfortunately very polluted with plastic. There’s also the New York Aquarium right off the boardwalk.

Best (and only?) beach in NYC, except Rockaway. I have visited it during summer 2023, so the photos and videos are from that time period. Great vibe, many visitors but not too crowded, plenty of space on beach, beautiful sandy beach, ocean water is a bit filthy and it’s cold, but I don’t mind it. Plenty of friendly Russians all around Brighton beach & Coney island 👍 Def would recommend visiting it

March on the Coney Island Boardwalk is a preseason treat! No crowds. Empty beaches. And Nathan’s! Doesn’t get any better folks! Love the dogs. Stroll, hang and eat! Enjoy before the crowds come.

The Coney Island Beach has miles and miles of gorgeous sand and beautiful, gentle waves calling to families to join it. We had the amazing pleasure of going to a firework show on the beach this Friday night. The scattered explosions paired with the calming crashing of the waves created an experience that none of the families in attendance will remember for years to come!

Issues with: - cleanliness, - extremely loud music from groups with cuban/puerto rican flags along the boardwalk (not even sure how that level of sound pollution is legal.. massive speakers turned to the max, playing the same beat endlessly), - not the best equipped with showers

Classic landmark that's visually quite appealing. The boardwalk and beach are well maintained. If you decide to drive though, parking is just like most other places in and around NYC, challenging .

The best beach to visit. My favorite beach. It has a beautiful clean toilet. Friendly dogs around. Enough play grounds for the kids. Beautiful place for Picnic. Great restaurants around there. I just love it. Will always encourage people to visit Coney Island Beach and Boardwalk.

Their has been a few changes. From the New York Aquarian to the decommissioned parachute ride. Watch yourself with the parking! If you find any? It's alot less than it used to be, and that's not saying much!

Brought my girlfriend down from CT for her birthday weekend. Of course, had to visit Nathan's and we took a ride on the cyclone. Both were amazing. Coney Island is definitely an experience every American should have. Something about the juxtaposition of a beach so close to New York City makes it even more of a spectacle.

The beaches in NYC could be amazing if they would only be less green and more blue. The truth is that the water are very rich, but still. the brown and the green control...

We spent a couple of hours enjoying the boardwalk this past weekend, while we were visiting the NYC area attractions. It was very easy to find street parking, and there is also parking garages as well. We decided to park on the street, because we just wanted to grab some local food and enjoy the beach. It was not very crowded on either the boardwalk or the beach, which was great for travelers. There were a few street vendors along the boardwalk, so if you want to get a snack it's available. The fall weather was great for us, and I'm sure that it'll be getting cooler very soon.

Beautiful boardwalk and beach. Limited parking on the streets so you must get there early or don’t expect parking anywhere. Two amusement parks which can be confusing for 1st timers since one park is in the center of the other park. You have to pay per ride so all the big/fast rides are $10 per ride. Lines aren’t to bad except on weekends. Original Nathan’s hotdogs is there. I recommend spending a day there, especially the beach. There is also some cool local shops if your willing to walk a bit down the Main Street.
