The
staff
lack
direction
and
organization.
I
went
there
for
a
migraine
headache
with
neuralgia,
spasms
in
my
forehead
pain
and
eye
pain,
acute
onset
double
vision.
The
staff
treat
people
with
disrespect,
and
speak
unprofessional
language.
I
needed
pain
medication
for
a
migraine,
and
excruciating
eye
pain.
They
gave
me
3
Tylenol
and
Reglan
when
I
had
no
nausea
(I
am
a
nurse).
I
stated
I
had
no
nausea
and
the
RN
said
this
is
what
we
give
for
headaches.
I
never
saw
a
doctor
for
hours
so
I
am
not
sure
what
they
based
the
decision
as
to
my
needed
something
for
nausea
was,
other
than
just
to
give
me
something
to
make
me
feel
my
issues
are
addressed.
I
was
not
paid
attention
to,
staff
running
by
MD’s
at
the
computer
chatting
about
who
is
working
when
and
on/off
the
weekend.
I
tried
to
ask
as
question
to
several
staff
and
they
all
told
me
they
would
be
right
back.
The
staff
at
the
desk
stated
they
did
not
know
who
was
following
me.
It
was
torture
as
with
no
treatment
other
than
disrespectful
treatment
I
would
have
been
much
better
off
at
home.
The
environment
was
making
my
pain
worse.
I
was
there
from8:30
am
to
10:30
pm
with
no
pain
relief,
nothing
to
eat
and
1
juice
which
only
raised
my
blood
sugar
but
did
nothing
to
quench
my
thirst.
It
was
the
most
horrible
experience
and
WASTE
of
my
time,
but
they
racked
up
the
$$$
at
my
expense.
I
was
seen
hours
into
my
stay
by
Neurology
which
was
a
useless
exam.
Questions
I
could
not
answer
accurately
as
I
was
in
so
much
pain
and
they
asked
me
without
raising
my
head
with
bright
lights
I
had
to
look
at
to
see
them
above
me.
They
lacked
awareness
of
this
and
were
arrogant
just
making
quick
command
as
they
did
their
“how
many
fingers
do
I
have”
up
exam.
The
exam
was
painful
as
I
had
to
move
my
eyes
and
the
pinching
of
the
nerve
in
my
head
became
tighter.
This
is
a
serious
condition.
No
one
with
the
pain
I
had
should
have
been
under
bright
overhead
lights.
I
had
not
slept
the
entire
night
before
and
it
would
have
just
given
me
something
for
pain
other
than
Tylenol,
as
one
Percocet,
and/or
a
Naritriptan
for
the
vascular
inflammation
which
was
most
visible.
I
have
pictures
and
I
hope
to
get
an
Opinion
article
in
The
NY
Times
as
a
follow
up
to
their
article
on
gaslighting,
marginalizing
women’s
complaints.
I
am
not
a
woman
of
color,
but
I
can
assure
you
I
was
treated
in
a
most
condescending
manner.
The
testing,
labs
and
a
CT
scan
could
have
been
outpatient.
What
I
needed
was
relief
from
the
pain,
and
a
specialist
referral.
I
was
also
in
excruciating
pain
from
laying,
even
rotating
side
to
side
on
the
stretcher
as
I
have
ischial
bursitis.
Many
patients
who
came
in
much
later
than
I
did
got
moved
to
rooms
where
the
lights
could
be
off.
Yet,
they
left
me
the
ENTIRE
14
hours
on
a
stretcher
under
the
bright
lights
where
movement
and
noise
contributed
to
my
pain.
The
testing
is
where
the
$$$
are
and
that
is
exactly
what
they
did.
My
health
was
not
of
concern,
it
was
all
about
how
many
tests
and
consults
(high
fives
to
all)
they
could
generate.I
woke
up
this
morning,
the
day
after
my
14
hr
ED
“Tylenol”
visit
with
the
same
migraine
and
eye
pain.
The
doctor
and
nurses
were
flaky
in
my
opinion.
All
over
the
place
and
no
strategy
as
to
what
to
do
first.
The
chatter
they
had
while
going
in
circles
was
not
at
all
amusing,
but
sad
as
again,
there
was
no
awareness
of
their
behavior.
FYI
-
I
was
an
ED
nurse
at
Rush
Pres-St
Lukes
in
Chicago,
so
I
have
a
reference
as
to
what
should
be
observed
while
waiting
in
an
Emergency
Department
that
strives
for
professionalism.
GO
ANYWHERE
ELSE
BUT
HERE.
NYU
offers
wait
times
posted
and
I
think
Lenox
Hill
does
as
well.
You
will
also
get
professional
treatment
there
and
not
from
sub-par
practitioners.
