I came to this store many many many times! And everytime i come I get such unpleasant experience, so do all of my friends! Starting from hostess and all associates! Every purchase I try to get new associate to have "your" associate! But no luck. They are not advising or suggesting untill I request pieces, when i request pieces i like they give bunch of excuses -"never will be in stock" "not your size" ! So many times they took full deposit and never respond. They talk about each other or other customers - trying to steal credit for selling from each other. Its just horrible! Its just bunch of unhappy associates who doesnt know how customer service works or how to manage a store. Store is disorganized all the time. With appointment you wait for hours ! I never thought that associates can kill the love to the brand completely!

Came in to get my bracelet extended in March. Had a disgusting lady named Michelle taking my bracelet in. In September I needed to get the bracelet checked and links taken out, I called the 877 number and was shipped a box to ship my bracelet for service. Its been since 09/20/2023 that they received my bracelet with NO UPDATE! Stay away from this crooked company! They Have my bracelet for over 2 weeks in service with no update’s because they can not locate it in the system! Phone Customer service treats you as if you are begging for something from them. Rooriy or whatever the spelling is and Dalia were all lies and promises!!!! Not even an apology for the situation. Paid over 4,500$ and treated like this. STAY AWAY!!! Never recommending this company and will most likely get rid of all my pieces. Disgusting service , disgusting way of treating patriotic clients! Think twice before spending money at VCA.

I had a disappointing experience at the Van Cleef boutique. I visited intending to purchase a necklace for my wife, but the service left much to be desired. Bianca, the sales associate, didn't offer us a glass of water, which was a simple gesture of hospitality. When I inquired about the return policy, she seemed dismissive, almost pushing me to buy online. Furthermore, after it was clear I wasn't making an immediate purchase, I asked for some water and chocolates, and her attitude took a turn for the worse. Overall, the customer service was lacking, and it left me with a negative impression of the boutique.

Wonderful experience at this store. Jasmine was sweet and accomodating. Shes very knowledgeable, and was able to meet our expectations efficiently. Even gave extra chocolates for our kids :)

I went to this Van Cleef boutique while I was in Manhattan recently. I wanted to see couple of rings that are on my wishlist to narrow down which style and size is right for me. I found the greeter to be very friendly and welcoming and also the SA who assisted me. She offered us drinks and mini chocolates which was delicious. They didn’t have the exact size on the ring I liked the most and they offered to size it. But I don’t want to size my ring, rather try the actual size that might fit me better. So now I have a little better idea on which size is best for me. Hope they continue to keep the good service.

This has been the most ridiculous process. I walked into the store and was taken care of by Michelle on 9/23. I was told my Bracelet would need a week to adjust, 3 weeks letter not a word from her. Apparently, she went on vacation for 2 weeks and didn’t mention that to me. I had to reach out on more than one occasion and ask for an update. when she got back she tells me it’ll be ship The following day overnight. I ask for a tracking number, I didn’t receive one. I got a call from fedex the next day that my Address was incorrect and they cannot ship. I have to contact the shipper to update the address. Now almost 4 weeks and still no bracelet. Never again will I order from here. I prefer Short hills VCA

Prices are high, but the quality is commensurate. Lauren Imperial has helped me find just the right gift for every occasion for the past several years. If you want the best and price is no object, you've come to the right place!

The attitude at the front desk was very rude. I turned around and went to buy Cartier. I will never patronize it again.

Update: After sending a generic outreach comment, customer service just asked to contact so they could indeed confirm/tell me that it's $195 (including tax). LOL thanks...ALSO, they like to pull this “appointment only” line even to pick up an item, don’t take it. I had an appointment and couldn’t make it because my son (< 1 year) was sick, there were no appointments on the day I could pick it up (when my husband could watch my son) and they tried to tell me they’re fully booked, I said no get me my item because I can’t come back another day, they did and it took < 10 minutes. Also, pretty sure they tried to get me a tiny pouch to put my necklace in but the handoff wasn’t smooth “it’s the last one” - spoiler alert, I didn’t get even that haha. -- I mean the jewelry is nice, but bought my $3k Alhambra necklace because the clasp kept opening (only 1.5 years old) and it’s $180 to fix it. Ridiculous, certainly know how to overcharge.

We were in Manhattan this weekend thus we planned to go try the wedding bands, as they don’t have shops in our area. We were very excited when we found the shop. But the greeter’s unfriendliness really gave us a big shock. First of all she told us we had to make an appointment in order to check the rings. And since we were visiting and never been to this shop before, of course we didn’t have one. We told her we would just look around then. But after checking the products on display, we decided to ask her again if there were staff available as we saw actually quite a few staff were free without any customers at the moment. She finally gave us Jonathan, who gave us great service and very down to earth. But when we left we actually tried to say thank you to the greeters. Oddly, the greeter sitting in the front desk just looked away, plus the other girl standing next to her. What kind of greeter was that? And how could this really make us customers have the pleasure of buying stuff there? We’ve heard a lot of good things about this brand thus we wanted to try the rings and make them our wedding bands. But this visit somehow made us a bit hesitant about this brand and its value, culture and mission. If it were not Jonathan, I think I would forever blacklist this brand. This one star we gave was to Jonathan for his great service and time, even tho we didn’t buy on the spot and showed up without appointment he showed us what a great salesman was and made us feel good. I’ve been to so many brands in the past years for engagement rings, wedding bands and other jewelry, and I’ve never experienced this kind of rude and cold reception by the greeter. No smile thru out and when we left and said thank you, she acted like she didn’t hear anything. Very absurd…

One of the female (middle-aged ish) Asian SAs was so impatient with my mom when we came to visit. When we showed her the picture of a product we would like to see, she rolled her eyes at us and told us that she needed to double check. I've visited other stores in the states, and it was always a super light hearted, and pleasant experience. I think the 5th Ave store needs to do a better job at training their SAs to treat people with respect. I will not come back to this store.

Very disappointed. I ordered earrings as a surprise gift for my wife at this location. When the earrings arrived at the store, they texted my wife instead of me, even though they had my number (and even texted me on my number when I ordered the earrings). They completely ruined the surprise.

Groundhog Day update: Jimmy, the Fifth Ave store manager, was made aware of my previous unsatisfactory experience. He reached out to see what could be done to improve the client relationship. I was pleasantly surprised that a large corporation like Van Cleef would contact an individual client. I am impressed by their commitment to keep clienteles' trust and loyalty. We discussed the situation and tried to determine how it could be amicably resolved. He was very pleasant, patient and understanding of my point of view. I'm happy to update the review.

I would score 0 if there is such option. I was there in the "New York - Fifth Avenue" store this afternoon to look for a piece of jewelry. And after the waiting, the sales associate was very very rude. We were told the piece I was looking for was out of order, and it takes 3weeks to 6 months to get it delivered. And I was asking if I can order online myself, and the sales told us "good luck on that". I have never seen any sales ever as rude as this one. First of all, it takes long time for us to wait, she did not even show her attitude (We do not really care about this part because we explored the store any way, but when we are in other stores, at least they would show the attitude like sorry to keep you waiting or something like that). Secondly, she did not even explore what I exactly want, just told me the piece I want is out of order and her attitude shown she doesn't care about me at all. I know Van Cleef has good products, but also, bad service as well. I do not know the sale's name, but she is an Asian and wearing dental brace. And actually my friend was planning to get her mom a necklace, but instead of purchasing that in Van Cleef, she decided to buy it somewhere else. We really had a bad shopping experience in your store, and we do not think we would ever shop in that store anymore. I do not know how many customers are like us. There are so many stores in that neighborhood. Probably, people will just leave and go somewhere else, and simply because of the bad service, I just feel bad for this brand….. The reputation is sort of ruined by those sales… If I score the service in Cartier and Tiffany 5 stars, the Van Cleef would be 0 stars for the 5th ave store.

My husband and I flew our private jet to watch the Miami game on Thursday and I told him I wanted to go by Van Cleef to get an Alhambra pair of earrings. Yesterday we stopped by and the receptionist at the door, or whatever she is called, said they wouldn’t take us without an appointment. Honestly super rude and condescending towards us, the missed a sales for this individuals bad attitude.

Nice place to buy your significant other a present. They enjoy shopping your credit card. They do it with white gloves on. I spent over 4k. They gave me a box of chocolates. It made me forget about the 4k until Amex called me and ask if I was feeling alright. That’s when I slipped into a coma. I’m still in the coma. Waiting till Amex goes under so I don’t have to pay them back. Wake me up when September comes. All In all. My wife is happy with the purchase and I’m happy she happy. Amex tho. Not happy. I stopped answering their calls since the coma. Ohh well. Happy wife happy life.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I will not be spending my money with this so called luxury store. I had an appointment for Sunday, June 12, 2022, and when I arrived, the store was closed. I waited for 15 minutes and no one ever showed up. I left a voicemail message on the same day and I am still waiting for a call back. Today is Tuesday. Although VCA and Cartier are owned by the same company, I got better service at Cartier.

Van Cleef & Arpels has mastered the art of delivering a luxury shopping experience with comfortable exuberance. Our Sales Associate Lily Chan and her sales staff were consummate professionals. The VCA team certainly know how to deliver a luxury jewelry experience. I highly recommend visiting the NYC 5th Ave boutique to shop and purchase your VCA piece!

My friend and I came across the store while trying to find a coffee shop to get out of the rain, and we were welcomed into the store despite our completely bedraggled condition. We were rumpled after an 11hr flight, and having made it down to Manhattan during our long layover. Despite having no appointment, we were welcomed by the sales associate, Michelle, who immediately offered us much needed coffees and chocolates! While they did not have the NY exclusive pendant in stock that I had hoped for, they offered to place an order for it to be mailed to me. I am excited to receive it once completed, especially since it will remind me of the amazing trip we had just completed and the kindness we received at this boutique when we made it back to the States. * Adding a quick update on the order I placed: it arrived safely at my home after only about a week and a half wait - what a great surprise! It is such a beautiful and unique piece. Thank you again!

3.11.23 - We were wary of the customer service here, but relieved when we were immediately greeted by a very kind host who paired us with Vincent, an exceedingly kind person with a good sense of humor and very articulate. His knowledge of gems and stones was very helpful and comforting because he made sure we understood how to care for each kind of jewelry. The showroom complimented us with tea and chocolate before Vincent presented the necklaces we came to see and he included recommendations that were spot on. The focus from Vincent was palpable and we valued his thoughts on how to buy our first piece for a collection. When closing out the purchase he clearly explained the timeline and our options should things not work out and virtually made it feel like there would be no stress on our end. Vincent is a gem. Cheers.

Visit this landmark & ask for Jasmine and Lorie! Over the last 2 years (during the “Covid years”) I been dreaming about adding a van cleef & arpels to my jewelry collection. We have visit over 5 stores & never felt welcome. The moment I meet Naomi and Lorie I felt right at home. They never missed a beat on offering a warm welcome, a refreshment, and great jewelry options. I can happily say I’m part of the van cleef & arpels family. Congratulations on Naomi for her 14 year anniversary working with the brand. Your talent on making moments so special is incredible.

The service at this boutique was very underwhelming. Nobody has any information or is available to answer any questions as to why i haven’t received my money back for a return that was initiated 3 weeks ago when it was said to take 5 business days. Multiple un-answered emails, a few voicemails and 2 phone-calls later, there isn’t any urgency and they just give you the run around passing it off to the next unqualified person or “manager” who never gets back to you with the necessary information as to why you haven’t received your refund or if the check was even sent out to begin with.I find it hard to believe you can get worse customer service at another boutique. It seems you’re not a priority when shopping here.

My partner and I visited VCA Fifth Ave twice while on the hunt for our wedding rings. Both visits were without reservations, and we were pleasantly surprised by the brief wait times, approximately 10 minutes. The overall experience at VCA largely depends on the staff who assist you. On both occasions, we had to proactively check with the front desk to receive assistance. Despite seeing several idle salespersons, no one approached us initially. However, during our first visit, Jonathan noticed us and promptly offered his help. On our second visit, it was a security lady who observed our need for assistance after a 10-minute wait. Jonathan was particularly outstanding. Being new to wearing rings, his guidance on choosing the right size – suggesting trying on the ring at various times of the day – was extremely helpful. This advice proved crucial when I needed to size down my ring. With our imminent departure from NYC, Jonathan arranged to send the smaller ring to me once it arrived at their store, and the shipping was super fast. On our second visit, during which we returned the larger ring, Jonathan was off that day. The salesperson assigned to us seemed disinterested, frequently checking their phone, and gave the impression that they wanted us to leave quickly. But at least they got the job done in returning the ring for credit and handed the rest of the process over to Jonathan.
