Affordable, glass of wine and fresh food. There was a good lunch selection and dinner menu.

Absolutely the best Charcoal Grill food! I ordered various different plates (chicken, beef) and sandwiches. All very tasty and well made. Love this place and I'll keep coming here or ordering take out. Attention!! Place is very small so if you are worried about covid-19, order takeout instead. That's my five cents of advice! I hope you like this place as much as everyone that comes here often does.

7 minutes from the airport, only the highway and one street to get here. 5 stars for delicious Portuguese food and for the service. We had the manager serving us who was 5 stars; friendly and she noticed what we needed. She correctly recommended the pork stew with second choice of the cod. Pork stew was great, $12.95, served in a hot metal bowl, pork on the bone, cabbage that soaked in the sauce, beans, rice on the side. Almost everyone else at other tables had the cod. Everything is a large portion. Some patrons and servers only spoke Portuguese, lots of construction workers.

This place used to be great but all of a sudden food is not that good anymore and way over priced. On a $40 order they charge me $3 for fries for just 1 person and $3 of rice to feed a 2 year old kid. Probably my last time ordering from there.

It's a nice cozy Portuguese restaurant in Newark where we enjoyed a nice dinner before a flight out of EWR. We had the steak and the whole grilled fish and both were excellent. The service was good as well, so we'd definitely come back when we are in the area.

Total 2 hours waiting for the food to be delivered and nothing. We had ordered food around 10:30 am and it was 12:30 we had not received the food yet. We are 5 min away from the restaurant tough. Not the first time it happens :/

Casual, friendly neighborhood eatery. Not a lot of tables but very cozy. Bar was very busy. Limited menu but everything we had was delicious. Started with garlic clams that was fresh and perfectly cooked. Ask for extra bread to soak up the sauce! Had grill skirt steak and garlic shrimp. Both were well seasoned and sides of rice and beans so good. They do a good take out business. Service was good. Street parking only.

The staff took great care of us. The food was fresh and delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. Parking is a little difficult over there, but if you can find a spot, please enjoy the wonderful food. 🙌🏾🤗

To me is one of best home cook restaurant. Me and my hubby gos the Avery Sunday for the past 8 years.

It has been a while since I was allowed to sit in a local Portuguese restaurant and relax. The grilled salmon was cooked perfectly and I thought I was taking some of the ribs home... but finished them all. Perfect with Portuguese wine, and expresso.
