A bar that pretends to be an Irish Pub. Don't expect to get a real Irish meal there. Their Patty's stew taste like canned progressive stew heated up. Could only must up enough strength to take two bites before I gave up and went back home.

I live right down the street so I used to go here often but I'm not sure what happened since the past few months the service has been absolutely awful. I waited over 20 min to be even greeted by a waitress, then another 15 min for my drinks to come and it was a slow day! Another time I had to walk in and order my drinks she took so long. The last time I was there I almost walked out cause I had to ask her 3x for the check. Not sure if they are understaffed or what???? Either way I've stopped going here cause of the slow service. Otherwise the food is decently good, has alot of TVs for the sports enthusiasts and everyone is friendly.

Terrible service, wait times for anything are ridiculous. On multiple occasions we waited for 15-30 minutes for someone to even greet us, and sometimes longer for our checks, the food is ok but can be hit or miss along with incorrect drink orders... just don't expect anything special. We will not be returning.

I wish I could give a place 3.5 stars. Apparently, that's not possible. My reviews are always a little bit tougher than others, and because I averaged the experiences from both my visits, it ended up being a three stars (I rounded down). Let me start off by saying that if you want to eat at a bar, I've never been to a place that has such a wide selection at a low price. The food here is incredible, and somehow it seems to not have been affected by inflation. If you manage to find something on special, the prices are even better. With that said, there are some detractors to the overall experience that non -bar junkies may not notice. First off, all the TVs that are mounted above the bar are too high for your average person who's sitting at the bar. After watching a couple of World Cup games at this location, I walked out with a bit of a sore neck. For people sitting at tables, it's perfect, but I rarely ever sit at tables at a bar. This place also has a menu that's viewable via QR code. I'm not totally against digital menus, but the actual online experience isn't set up that well. You have to select a menu section before the search bar appears at the top, and it only searches for items within that section. When you're new to a place, and you're not sure we're certain items are going to be located, this is a big issue. While trying to track down where the wings were located, as I went from section to section using the search bar to no avail. Opt for the printed menu if possible. Outside of those detractors, the overall experience was pretty good. The atmosphere is adorned with green trim, which is the only way you would know. The bar has a slightly irish theme. If you're expecting a pub, you're not going to find it here, as this place is exceptionally large and has the feel of a sports bar. Considering it says sports bar, that's not necessarily a bad thing. There's also plenty of outside seating, but unfortunately it was too cold to sit down and enjoy it. The staff is really nice, and the owner hangs around the bar and chit chats with you between tasks. I was really close to giving this place four stars, knowing that I rarely ever give out five, but the bar was significantly understaffed during a World Cup special event leading me to wait 2 hours to get the food that I ordered. By the time my food came out the game was practically over, which meant the bar missed out on a chance for me ordering two meals, breakfast and lunch.

They have good food for decent prices. A burger and fries is $10 which is even cheaper than Burger King. The drinks are good, I like the frozen margaritas, I wish they had a drinks happy hour but they do have weekly specials

O'Sullivans is a one-of-a kind bar. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the food is amazing. If you're looking for a spot to relax on a weekend, this is a place to try.

Not from the area at all and Stopped in here based off of recommendation. While here had our under 21 child with us. We walked inside in late afternoon/early evening and as we sat, we were told by a sever that the underage person couldn't be inside. A overly short time later, another guy came up, and was trying to hurry us our of the establishment, initially zero people skills! He did allow my under 21 to pee real real fast. At that time he came over introduced himself (The owner) and willingly started to tell me the, "Why" behind why we had to leave. In the end, Although we were disappointed, it was and is completely understandable. The owner saved the day, explained himself thoroughly. The vibe inside seemed cool, seemed like he had a great setup, wish we could have stayed, but it is what it is. Why the 5 stars when we weren't allowed to stay and experience everything, it's because the owner became personable and communicated it to us! He earned the respect all the way around!

The Bartenders need customer service training with the exception of one. They don't reflect the attitudes of the owners which is more customer service focused for some strange reason. The food is good. I'm trying to become a regular customer but it's becoming more difficult with each visit.

The woman at the bar was not very friendly. I tried to pay with two different cards but their device was not working properly and started to kind of blame it for it. Fortunately, they have an ATM inside the premises but it charges $3 commission. The payment was solved though.

Great local bar. Tons of great tap & bottled beer and a very impressive selection of top-shelf liquor! Obviously well-trained, and 'kind-on-the-eye' bartenders. Longest bar I've ever sat at - with what must be over 2-dozen flat screens covering every televised sporting event! Really good food - unique range of lunch specials. Indoor and outdoor tables. Owner is cool and definitely knows what your average bar patron is looking for. Fun place - got my vote.

We had a great time here . It was our first time visit, we didn’t have any food , but had lots of drinks. Cocktails made good , service girl was walking around like butterfly , gets attention all the time , they have DJ guy too. Security dudes up front and front of bathroom make sure you feel safe . The atmosphere also great in there . Only thing that my partner said he got charged 10$ at the door , wasn’t sure it was for entering ticket or tips for entry . Other then that Everything is good .

Very large place, but tables, booths and bar counters are arranged in a way that creates a good balance between being overcrowded and the need to serve so many people at once.

I went there to watch canelo fight on cinco de mayo. They started showing girls ufc fight when the main canelo fight started. The number of screens for canelo fight was very few. The service was bad. There was a $20 cover which was absolute waste of money.

The DJs on Sat night are hit-or-miss. But, there is a wide selection of booze, which makes up for it. The bartenders are courteous. The dance floor is small, but lots of seating is available for people-watching. This is great for a traveler like myself. Food looks like what you could expect from a fast food spot. To quote HBO's Chernobyl, "not great, not terrible" I'd recommend this spot for a sports/dive-ish experience.

Took advantage of their takeout menu to provide lunches to our employees for a work event and have to say they came through. They were able to accommodate special requests for things like dry burgers and the food was great. Individual boxes meals and provided silverware packs made distribution an ease and safe.

I always feel welcome and like family in this place. A solid spot to chill on a few beers. And the pozole is A+! 😀

I did in fact confuse this place with a local bar in my area that is nowhere near Newark. I posted a different review on the actual place the next day cause I thought the one I posted didn’t go through when I actually posted it here. 😭 My DEEPEST apologies! I would never falsely review a place of business. I appreciate the owner for reaching out so I can correct my mistake.

Just in for coffee and breakfast. The breakfast menu looks delicious. I just had a simple waffle breakfast. Which was yummy. Having a full bar available makes the adult libation choices tempting. My friends had Irish coffees (I was driving) with their breakfasts, while we watched various sports from around the world on just about every TV in the place. Very friendly and attentive service. Brenda is amazing!!

Love this place! My Red Hat Chapter (women over 50) met at O’Sullivans for an Irish meal. This place is bigger than I expected. The food was wonderful and the service was perfect. James, the manager was so easy to communicate with. We will be back.

This place has food that can’t appropriately be called “bar food” because it’s just a cut above. The Turkey club here is easily the best I’ve had in the east bay. Amazing servers who remember your drink, owners who greet you, huge bar, tvs, hard to find something to complain about here.

Great beer, below avg food. I ordered wings and nachos. The wings were excessively salty. The nachos seemed like just tortilla chips with chicken, there wasn’t a good balance between all the ingredients. The chicken didn’t seem fresh, seemed it was prepared long back and just reheated and put on.

Went there to see the champions league final ! Great vibe and good ambiance, food and drinks are very reasonably priced and tasted great, Portions are large and great for sharing. There are a lots of TVs, even 1 on the bathroom stall ! And they were kind enough to switch to your choice of channel if you don’t have 1 directly in front of you. Staff is courteous and we’re really trying hard to keep everyone happy even during the busy match day. Had fun, was pleasantly surprised and will be my go to for any big match going forward.

I went to this place today on the recommendation of some friends. The place is large, although it looks small from the outside, many TVs with sports, a variety of liquors and many beer options, something that is really difficult to find in the area. They have a kind of taco tuesday on Tuesdays so I ordered some mixed tacos, they were tasty even though they got my order wrong in the first place. The bad thing is the service, they have 2 waitress-bartenders who take a long time to serve you, apparently they prefer to be talking and drinking a few shots than to serve those of us who were there, one of them grumpily indicated that we had to wait our turn to be served, but then I continued talking with other customers, that's why the poor service rating .. Flor, the fact that you are interested in the opinions of your clients speaks well of you and that is valued. I make my reviews with the reason that we have nice places to stay with friends and family, I liked your bar a lot but the service was really bad, I can understand that the bartenders have a lot of experience, maybe a bad day? I don't know, and yes, they made a mistake in my meal, 4 beef tacos.

Definitely the spot to watch football! Came last night to watch Lions vs Chiefs (Thursday Night Football) and every aspect of the business was top notch. Over 60 HD LED TVs, surround sound and service was quick. Tried their Brisket Tacos - A+!

Nice hidden gem in Newark! Especially on a Friday night and football Sundays! The pozole is amazing!! Good drinks and customer service. Also the women’s bathroom is very clean which is a huge PLUS!

Osullivans sports bar is probably the best bar in the east bay!!! They have done an amazing job to ensure they are one of the best. The staff is super friendly. The owners love entertaining there customers and they do so much for their community!! The bathrooms are very clean as well. Love watching games here and just mingling with friends. Id give this place a 10 out of 10 review!!!

Home style grilling with fair prices! They also were giving out free meals to Newark students for at least 2 months! That and the delicious food makes me want to give them my business! Support local bizz!!

Such a fun bar with sweetest staff!! The drinks are great, vodka soda with one lime is my go to and the bartenders never disappoint! My husband is a beer and whiskey guy and he loves their selection, last time we were there he was tired after long day so he ordered an Irish Coffee and he said it was hands down in his top 3 best Irish coffees ever. With multiple TVs, pool, darts, and even a jukebox there’s something for everyone! Definitely a fun time!!

Many would think this place is just a bar, but you would be hugely mistaken!! The food and service are high quality and the staff is really amazing!! I've had the chance to work closely with both owners on big catering projects and they did an excellent job!! The crew has a way of making everyone feel special and your always given First Class service!! It's really a great place for breakfast, lunch, and even dinner!! And yes...The cocktails are pretty amazing as well!!

Great experience! The service was top notch, $0.50 wing Thursday's is a must and the regulars are friendly & welcoming. It's the ultimate place for the sports fan as there are TVs everywhere showing various events. When ordering a drink ask for Lisa or Ashley and they will take care of you!

Best place hands down to enjoys sports including UFC and major fight nights as well. The staff is fast and friendly. Large enough of a place to bring a group of friends for drinks and delicious food.

Always great food great beer

This place has become my little hang out spot recently, very convenient since it's so close to me. The staff is always friendly and the drinks are made well in my opinion. I was happy to try peanut butter whiskey (yep!) for the first time on my birthday. I usually enjoy the music they play and feel pretty comfortable here. Also very much appreciate that they have snacks. The vibe is nice, it's a sports bar/pub but it seems to cater to a big variety of customers. There's a lot of space, but has a small bar feeling without the divey-ness. (If that makes sense). Nice spot for a weekday afternoon to relax after work or a weekend outing with friends.

The team at O'Sullivan's are the tops. Service with a smile, amazing wings and super cool. May all sports bars be this awesome! Thanks for helping me out with some amazing food for our party today. The team is planning to visit way more often! Great place - great vibe!
