I couldn't help but notice too many of the shelves are empty. If you want to see something scary check-out the photos I posted. Overall this place gets the job done but please chose when you go wisely because check-out lines are so long and so wrong. The store just doesn't have enough to accommodate the amount of people shopping during busy times. You want to definitely avoid going anytime during the beginning of each month. I use the self-check-out although I never wanted to work for Shoprite. I believe a substantial discount should be offered to customers who check-out themselves because it saves the store time, money and healthcare benefits. The shelves are mostly stocked but could go bare at any moment. Definitely bring your own sanitizers to wipe down the carts. I recommend gives this place a try but stay alert and prepare yourself for some excitement because something bound to happen.

This place has no consideration for its customers. There were only four cashiers to check out a store full of customers. When I asked if there they could put more cashiers I was told they didn't have any. While I was in line I called customer service to make a complaint the person hung the phone up while I was speaking. This store had very poor service. After waiting more than 45 minutes in the checkout line I had to replace my frozen food items. This store needs better management.

I went here recently and I had a issue inside the store someone was walking around the store taking customers shopping cards with their belongs inside. When I went to the store manager Louis ( he had a Louisiana accent) he completely ignored me. The security or loss prevention is a joke to be honest. The staff here need to be trained better. Everyone always seem to have an issue or attitude.

The item placements are confusing, but are improving. However, employee assistance is an option. Employees are knowledgeable and readily willing to help. The ShopRite App makes the Springfield Avenue ShopRite easy to manage a budget and find items. Additionally, it makes for easier to maneuvering, especially if you need to be in and out. And this ShopRite sells certified حلال halal and כשר kosher foods in addition to an International aisle. Check out you have 4 four options: Shoppers with large amounts, small amounts, smaller amounts of items and self service checkout. There are courteous, efficient and accurrate employees at all 4 four. Last but not least security is Good.

This is by far one of the worst ShopRite's I've ever been to. The shelves are always empty, there hardly any Spanish products and tonight I went and spent my hard earned money to be treated so rudely, my groceries were thrown in my carriage while the cashier proceeded to tell me next time not to get in her line of I had more than 15 items but everyone else in front of me had way more and I only had 2 more. Than she gave me my coupons with my Cashback receipt but not my grocery receipt. When I called the store about my receipt the same person kept putting me on hold for almost 6 minutes I hung up. This I attribute to poor management and poor performance.

The BEST ShopRite, it is clean, spacious and the hot food is delicious. The chefs call all own their restaurants. 🔥🔥🔥 The cornbread is yummy 😋 The shelves are neat and stacked with a variety of international products and fruits. Lots of parking and helpful staff. I recommend going early in the morning to shop.

I love this Store... it provides EVERYTHING! However, I've developed an illness that doesn't allow me to physically visit the Store to complete grocery shopping anymore... I now use their Online Shop from Home services and have been VERY SATISFIED with that service.

There’s plastic in the sushi and no it does NOT seem as though it’s a mistake. So far 3 pieces of plastic of the same size were found as if it was mixed in the sushi- while eating mistakenly swallowed one piece of plastic. On top of that small pieces of hair were mixed in the rice of the sushi. This is very odd specifically being that cooks should wear hair nets.

I have come here before for a hot meal and it was a solid 8/10. Way better than most restaurants to be honest. Good tasting and Shoprite quality I use at home. Reliable and tasty, plus the staff is always kind. But today I came in for flowers. The selection of flowers: a solid 8/10 in quality. The variety isn’t like a florist, but it gets the job done. I got help from Sabina however who did an amazing job putting a nice bouquet together. She was thorough and had an eye for detail. Customer service has definitely been great here! That’s why overall I give a 5 star review.

For overall cleanliness, I’ll give them like a 9.7. The store is chaotic. I’m from Morris County in the Morris County ShopRite run like this overall experience very ghetto. The parking lot is very cramped. They gave them exactly what they thought they were worth. When I come back here again, absolutely not if you have children and you’re trying to do a quick run in and run out don’t do it you go in for two things you’re gonna be in that store for 45 minutes because the lines are outrageous. I don’t understand why there’s no cashiers. We’re not utilizing all of their isles if you’re used to a plush customer service experience, this is not the ShopRite that you wanna come to my overall experience I would write it about a four. One.

On opening day at shop rite Newark they had a big tour bus with completely painted with blue and white pinstripes and the giant New York Yankees logo on the sides of the bus. When I was walking out the was a couple of people standing by the exit the asked me if I wanted spin the wheel and win a prize After I spun the wheel they said you won pick your prize I picked the autographed baseball which turned out to be New York yankee Didi Gregorious autographed Major League Baseball ball. Thanks shoprite for the ball i will always remember that day. The autographed Didi Gregoria baseball is now part of my New York Yankees collection along with New York Yankees John Malangone memorabilia

Don't know who's butchering steaks lately, but all the cuts of beef look like overhandled road kill. It's rare to find a decent cut of steak... only cheap cuts. Also, the grass fed beef section is non-existent. Also, your Melinda's hot sauces have been expired for months even though I've brought it to the attention of staff 2x. This location has declined in quality.

Everytime I go this ShopRite it's always long lines. The employees don't know how to talk to people. Want to get mad when someone curse them out. You get what you put out. This will be my last time shopping at this ShopRite. I rather take the extra drive and be treated with respect.

Ridiculous, not enough shipping carts for shoppers. They don't have baskets. I guess they want to treat blacks like animals.. terribly run store.. rude clerks.. very tight inside

It's alright. The attitude of some of the workers is appalling. It's mostly people playing LOUD music in the parking lot instead of helping the customers.

An excellent place to pop in to get lunch. Make sure that you sign up for the ShopRite card to get additional savings and Super Coupons. If you don't want to buy shopping bags and drive, get an empty box and put it in the shopping cart, then place it in your backseat or trunk.

Shop Rite has a broad range of items that are sold here, and it is one of the reasons that I shop here. They are many different brands and varieties that are sold including Shop Rite's own brand. The aisles are wide and the store looks very clean. There are two issues I find with this Shop Rite. One is you have to watch the prices. If it is getting closer to a holiday, or another government stimulus check is being given out to help people economically, then you will see prices jump up quickly. I've seen items that usually sell for $3.99, jump up to $5.49 the next week. Also, as a disabled person, I don't find many of the store workers know how to work with the disabled. Either they are totally naive to the disabled, or in some cases very rude. I really think this store should offer more training to the staff on how to work with the disabled. After all, we are in the 21st century now. Disabled people are no longer confined to their homes.

This particular ShopRite is decent considering location. However, I noticed in the beginning of the month, cashiers are all open then throughout the month only a few, which makes checking out longer. Workers are hit and miss. Some are helpful, Others are just there. Shelves are stocked for the most part and hot food is a 7/10 depending on your likings. Bathroom has also been clean and sanitized , well stock (tissue, soap) parking lot always has parking. If you’re in the area, the ShopRite definitely will be your go to.

I loved it when they first opened. Seems like they're going downhill now. Shelves are always empty and today for the first time, I saw a mouse run across the floor. I've never ever seen a mouse in a supermarket in my entire life. This is inexcusable.

This is one of my favorite supermarkets to go to. It's convenient and it's always clean. The employees are helpful and friendly. The ads and coupons are very useful.

I like this location in Newark. Great produce, a lot of variety, fresh foods...friendly staff. They actually have a greeter upon entering the store, which is a rarity these days, so I appreciate that. All around good service and produce. 😎

The Shop Rite store personnel were extremely polite and helpful. The store itself was spotlessly clean and orderly. I'm a 77 year old US Army combat Veteran, and it did my heart good to see the discipline and Brotherhood displayed by the Shop Rite staff. So, thank you Shop Rite, and Bravo to the Staff.

I don't live on this neighborhood, but I always go there, people that works there are amazing. On my first time there I left this Market crying, because somebody did something that I didn't deserve, but at the same time a employee saw that and came to tell me to keep calm. She saw everything and knew I did nothing wrong. Employees there always come to ask if you need some help, and if everything is ok. Very nice people.

Great availability of products but worker don't have any customer service skills. I shopped there a few times thinking it would be better experience the next time around but very time I have had bad experience with cashiers. They are extremely rude and everytime I have gone there I spend $200 or more

I find them generally well stocked, and, they do TRY to keep the check-out lines moving smoothly and promptly. Unfortunately, not all of the customers play along. They also seem clean and the food is generally fresh and we'll maintained.

  • 4/5 Glamourgirll777 2 years ago on Google
ShopRite is a great place to grocery shop but they need to have baggers to help the cashiers to get customers out faster, it gets slow as the cashier rings up your items because they also have to help the customers bag their items too. So, that keeps the customers in the store longer than they have to be.

Busy and not too long wait in lines. Staff seems to handle every customer in a timely manner. We'll I was here at lunchtime. So it was in and out at that time. Next time I will visit in the morning to see if it's still as fast as it was when I went. I asked a million questions and the staff answered them.

Great place to shop. They have lots of varieties and foreign products. Clean and organized. Lines however are always the longest so there's always a significant wait time. But it's in the heart of the city and a main shopping center. It's always crowded so there is a chance you'll meet very interesting people inside and outside the facility during your visit. Staff is pretty efficient all things considered.
