So I find myself in Newark on a Monday evening and this place scores highly on all the reviews so why not? First impressions are of just another curry house until you look at the menu which is very different to what I have seen anywhere before. Indeed I was that unsure that I relied on my waiters guidance to help me choose. What came to my table was really really good and undoubtedly very different to anything I have had before. Washed down with a couple of cold glasses of Cobra, this was a very memorable meal. Service was also excellent. If you fancy a change, do give this place a try

Great place, great service, very convenient location. Had the express lunch which does exactly what it says. Drop in, have express lunch, get back to work (or shopping etc). The food is delicious, service is prompt, attentive and always with a smile. Good prices too, and right in the middle of town. Definitely visit if you can.

A genuine restaurant for the Indian and specifically South Indian cuisine. A very friendly staff. Loved the Ghee roast Dosa, Medu vada, and today's special Chicken kebabs. For the main course had the butter chicken curry with appams. The main course really made my evening. A fairly reasonable price as well.

Decent choice for an Indian. The portions of the currys are on the small side. The lamb needs more cooking/trnderising. Also, the breads/Dosa didn't feel that they were cooked to order

Food was very authentic and people who work there were very friendly. Prices were standard for a typical Indian restaurant in the Uk. I will definitely visit the restaurant again and also will recommend it. It is also at a walkable distance from the station.

By far, the BEST food I've ever eaten. It was amazing, staff were attentive and bespoke made my choice of curry. Will be back very soon. Thank you for a great night and great food experience.

The Koinonia masala dosa was pretty good. The chutneys, prawn starter and the chicken dish was a bit toned down in terms of spices. The chapatis were doughy in parts. The restaurant offers a lot in terms of value and ambience but I hope to see more balance in terms of the spiciness of the food.

Food was fantastic, really authentic. Staff very friendly, greeting you on entry and exit. Prices are very reasonable. Atmosphere inside is very pleasant. All in all an excellent place to go

Honestly the best restaurant in Newark. Family style service with a unique south Indian flavour. 'Fast snacks' are a must, and I would urge you all to avoid the usual Indian restaurant tropes and try something new... be guided by your server and try sour curry, or the amazing dosa or any of the amazing specials. Truly one of a kind.
