So I am currently at this location on Sunday, Sept. 15th, 2019 at 9:43 am... The store is closed... This is the most aggravating store on Earth... Long lines... Ratchet staff and bad attitudes run rampant here... Plus someone forgot to open the store today... Manager probably got to turnt up last night to show up on time... Avoid this places at all costs...

There is a building with 208 units in it that depends on the Family Dollar on 7th Avenue Newark and about 80% of Us shop there because of its convenience. When will it finally reopen?? Been waiting for at least a month. When will they get it together and reopen the store?

dirty store & coupons dont match with prices in the store. manager is one of those guys who is nice one day & rude the next like he has an underlying mental issue

Either the cashiers are careless or devious. I came here after a long day after work to buy my groceries. Then once I got home I realized that I was missing a whole bag of groceries I paid for. I believe the cashier intentionally put the bag on the floor on her side of the counter and then kept it. Therefore I was robbed of $12 here. Do not recommend going here.

Rudest experience I had. I tried to deescalate a situation and explain to them how you should treat customers especially one who is 69 years old and upset but we were tag team by three females employees. One in her 20’s or so and two other in there 30’s or 40’s. I assume two were managers. It’s thanksgiving I said just to calm it down but they kept going at it. I’ve work in customer service for years and I never talked to a customer like this even if they are wrong. Just should have been closed on a holiday if you are going to give attitude like that and I walked away several times and they still kept at it. I should have recorded it but I pretty sure they have cameras. Sad that because you are in a ghetto you have to act and treat your customers as such. Not acceptable!

I shop at both the 7th ave store and Broadway store to make sure I find what I need. Neither stays stocked on frozen items once it's gone they don't restock. I wish they sold skim milk. Other than that I can see my family continuing to shop there.

System down no access to packages

Their cashiers excuse me assistant manager always seems to have an attitude they're always out of stock of almost everything you would want and the lines are always extremely long always seems to be one cashier and everyone else walking around... and most of the staff is quick to argue with you with the back and forth like they're not at work and you're not a customer... this is an update to already bad review today they had the doors locked and it's only 7:00 p.m. but they have a sign on the door that says cash only but they're not letting any customers in the store when there's obviously other customers inside the store just standing around it's always something with this store I hate that this is the closest Family Dollar to my house I really go out my way when I have the time just not to go there staff is rude it's just awful

I do agree that this place needs more security. I have witnessed individuals steal underwear and other products. However, this place is nice to shop at for quick snacks or laundry products. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I have never came across someone who was rude or unprofessional to my family or I.
