First time coming here, staff rushed off their feet, however very attentive and friendly. Food was so good, poached eggs were a bit over done and I needed extra hollandaise sauce however hot, good quality and really tasty, partner loved the business breakfast which was huge, and drinks were lovely, great atmosphere and very clean nice environment, will be back 😝

Would highly recommend coming here if you’re super hungry for a nice breakfast with great value! There’s options for every type of person. I always try to bring people here who visit Newcastle. Very popular with the locals and there’s usually always a queue. Would recommend coming early if you don’t want to wait long!

Lovely food and great rustic interior. This is a nice heart place offering various pub style and modern lunches and breakfasts. As I require halal food, there is a great range of vegetarian and vegan dishes available on the menu. Overall it was good food, nice vibes and I would go again for a breakfast or lunch. I ordered the bangers and mash and definitely enjoyed it. The tea was decent too

What a lovely place! Love the character, staff were friendly, service great and food delicious. Breakfast looked to be served all day and there was lots of other choices too including a kids menu. Definitely one to try if you haven't already 🙂

Veggie England breakfast and Buttermilk Pancakes. Very delicious! Staff are friendly. They don't take online reservations but the wait outside wasn't too bad. Lovely seating area inside. Menu is big with a variety of options. Haven't tried their drink menu or their shakes but they looked really good.

Blown away by our experience in the famous Butterfly Cabinet Cafe. Without fail, there always is a queue of patrons waiting to enter. 🍔 Blue Cheese Burger 🥪 Vegan Rio Grande Sandwich 🍣 Salmon Benedict Muffin 🧀 Halloumi Breakfast ☕️ Mocha Coconut For the price, food quality and the service, this was definitely a steal. I am definitely coming back again.

Haven't been to butterfly cabinet for a few years but it is my favourite place to grab a bite when I'm in Newcastle. I got the USA breakfast. The pancakes were fluffy and the sausage, bacon and hash browns were great. Great selection of food and drink, great decor and if you've been or been past you'll know that there's always a que to get in. Well worth it.

Went there on a Friday morning with my partner. We had to wait around 15 minutes in a queue outside as the place was full. Once we were invited in, we set at our table and ordered the food and drinks. My partner got the USA breakfast, with pancakes, hash browns, sausages and maple syrup, whereas I went for the halloumi breakfast, with spinach, fried eggs, baked beans and halloumi cheese. The food came promptly and it was nice. Overall a nice experience and would love to have a second visit in the future.

Hands down the best breakfast in Newcastle. A great range of traditional and US inspired breakfast options, with a solid lunch menu too. If you're really hungry, I recommend 'The Business'! Can't fault the pancakes either! ❤️

Great place for brekkie and lunch. The choices on the menu are great. The portion sizes are awesome. Food is fresh and we'll put together....I have been coming here for years and never felt let down by the food or service. If your in the area please give it a go.

Amazing breakfast at a really good price, came around 10am on a weekday and got straight in, whereas was queuing for over half an hour outside at the weekend. Worth the wait as food cooked perfectly, lots of veggie and vegan options too! This was the Veggie USA and Business

Great prompt service. Food cooked perfectly- Salmon Omelette was delicious and really really filling! Peach tea nice and refreshing. Was able to just chill and relax without being pestered by staff...waitress both were lovely and attentive. Highly recommended 👌

My fiancé and I arrived just before 10 and had to queue, we didn't wait for too long thankfully as it was a really cold day 🥶 When we were seated we ordered the Business breakfast and Salmon & Eggs, a coconut mocha and a pumpkin latte with two orange juices. The food and drinks arrived promptly and were delicious! When we left there was a very lengthy queue! 😬 Good thing we arrived when we did!

The stars & pics say it all. No need for me to review the Butterfly Cabinet. Karin had the Halloumi breakfast and I had the American omelette and we shared a side portion of potatoes with caramelised onions. Get yourselves there. It's always busy!❤️👍

The big breakfast is still great. Everything else is not worth the wait and price tag no more. Waited outside for 15 minutes and no one even came to check. Waited inside for around 10 minutes with no one even making eye contact. Waited for service at our table for around 10 minutes then Waited 20 minutes for drinks then food to arrive. Could have been a easy 5 stars if service didn't let them down

Really lovely food and not expensive. Even though they're always busy the staff are friendly and go out there way for you. Best thing, and i can thoroughly recommend, the chips. Proper chips! Delicious 😋 breakfasts are out if this world and definitely not stingy on the portion sizes. 10/10 would recommend but be aware, there is normally a queue to get in.

Absolutely disgusting from start to finish. Door handle off. Fight with the door to get in. Placing our order we asked a question about the ingredients when she went to check with the " manager" at the bar EVERYONE behind the bar area was looking at us. We placed our drinks order , 5 min later - no syrup for the chosen drink so we chose something else. The " flavoured iced teas" are just iced tea with no flavouring whatsoever. The staff extremely demotivated, hardly any warm communication or welcome. Cold stare from the staff again when we asked another question about the food. Inappropriately dressed in a tiny cropped top even the table next to us commented on this rather "unnecessary look" at 11am . Food arrived and honestly for £13 you get the extra potato bread , everything else you can get from weatherspoons for £8.95 including a drink ! No check back on the food. They chuck the food on the table for everyone and that's it. We left half of the food on the plate. Went to pay the bill , no eye contact made to acknowledge us , the girl at the till turned around to someone else and asked if they could serve us. This is by far the worse place for customer service. Maybe other food items are good on the menu so no judging on the menu but if you're looking for a decent place and customer service AVOID this place .

Never had a disappointing meal here. Chorizo pasta for me which was delicious as normal and my cousin had the veggie USA which she said was amazing. Brilliant service from the all staff as well but especially from Georgia who always has a smile on her face and provides hearty and friendly customer service. Will always come back.
