    Busy. Very busy. But those do not allow them to make that place dirty. Brushing floors are not everything. Needs to be cleaned properly. That includes tables, chairs and toilets too! The salad dropped to the box instead of being added to the burger, The meat was cold. Never going to visit again. Hygiene rating should be no more than 1 star!

    Your standard McDonald's food. However on my past three visits, waiting times for food have been in the range of 20-40 minutes for standard orders. This combined with regularly missing items from your order. Avoid this place unless it's either dead, or you're literally starving. The delivery drivers are slowly but surely creating a hostile environment for both the customers and staff. Witnessed drivers shouting at staff and chasing customers out of the branch accusing them of taking their food. These sorts of acts are clearly not helping the backlogs. Special shout out to the member of staff Ellie, 5* customer service skills in an incredibly difficult situation.

    Absolutely disgusting! The restaurant is so dirty, food and finished food on the tables, on the floor. Ketchup dispensers dirty with congealed sauce. Bags of rubbish on the floors. Cleaning staff not interested, sweeping one or two items off the floor and not cleaning the rubbish off the table, when they do they take a few items away then leave it still dirty. Our table was dirty so my daughter asked if ‘Graham’ could clean it, he handed her the spray and cloth to do herself! When we collected our food the chips were cold and the coffee. I complained to the staff about how dirty the restaurant was and they said it’s like this all the time and the cleaners don’t care! What is the manager doing? Not a lot, definitely not managing his team correctly. Toilets disgusting, dirty and don’t lock. The whole restaurant is a health hazard!

    Got given a McFlurry without any sauce on it and it was melted and was half full. I had told the worker that there was no sauce in my galaxy caramel McFlurry and they said to me I had eaten it even though I had just been handed the mcflurry. Not happy. At all. Place is so dirty as well. Music was bad as well.

    I'm really disappointed. Ordered a chicken select meal with a dip and the cheese bites with a dip. No dips. Ordered a milkshake as my drink and they've sent a sprite and no straw. Don't order from here. Glad uber eats refunded me but still annoyed at this place for ruining the whole order. Also Ordered double espresso, they've sent a single. Waste of time.

    I have never seen such a dirty restaurant in my entire life. This is the 2nd fast food place we have been to over the holidays where it could not be described as busy yet discarded food on floor, tables you wouldn't want to touch, and waste bin bags piling up in the walk ways. Why aren't environmental health reducing the hygiene stars for places like this?

    Awful, waited 40 mins for my food. Would be good to have a current status on how behind they are on orders before you place you're order. Had to leave eventually. Didn't even get a receipt to get a refund from the machines. Will never go again

    Worst McDonald's I have EVER been too!! Got 3/4 items wrong. One of which was supposed to be a vanilla milkshake. I explained to staff I am allergic to banana flavouring after them giving me a banana one by mistake and recieved no apology. They changed it ....for another banana one. I then had to go back and finally got told the machine isn't cleaned in between flavours so that is why it tasted like banana. No apology no refund nothing. Appalled. On top of that they stood and slated me as I was stood there to one another. I'll never come back here even if it's the last place to eat in Newcastle.

    Visited on Boxing day around lunch time. The store didn't look busy, however, after using the self service check out a customer advised she had been waiting 35 minutes for her food. A number of people gave up waiting and left before their orders were served. We waited 23 minutes for our order. When it arrived the food was cold. It wasn't the best experience I have had at a McDonalds

    I had such a great time at this McDonald's! The service was absolutely fantastic. You won't believe it, but this diner is conveniently located right in the heart of the main shopping area. It was the perfect spot for me to take a well-deserved break from all the shopping. And let me tell you, I enjoyed a delicious and piping hot big mac large fries and a apple pie

    Absolutely terrible. I love McDonald's usually but this is the worst franchise I've ever been in. Both mine & my fiances food was stone cold, inedible, rubbery & tasteless. The salad on the burgers were just big massive end chunks & everything was just slapped together. Grubby, dirty, unorganised & staff were lingering around doing absolutely nothing while there were lots of customers still needing served. I will NEVER return to this franchise of McDonalds even if I'm starving. If I could have given minus stars I would have!! Diabolical!! Would recommend avoiding this place at ALL costs.

    Great place for a quick bite to eat or a drink. Great coffee, nice and strong. Also cold drinks. Quick service and excellent staff. Friendly and welcoming.

    The service here is very rushed and robotic. the terminal i used to make my order did not have any paper inside to print my receipt order number. I pointed this out to staff who laughed and said its OK as long as you remember the number shown. I had to visit two different tables as they were sticky from the last customer. as I left I could not empty my tray as all the bins were full. no one removing items or clearing tables i counted at least 12 different seating places full of rubbish. there were at least 10 staff behind the counter talking and joking about their day which is nice to see but not when it is to the detriment of the service and business.

    This used to be a great place to eat, but not any more. Security guards on the door, rubbish bins weren't emptied, all meals were served in bags. Tomato sauce smeared all over the floor, and soft drink spillages not mopped up, causing health and safety issues. Rubbish strewn all over from people being too lazy to tidy up after themselves, although, in fairness, where could they put it as the bins were full and overflowing? It was an absolute disgrace! There was rubbish piled up by the side of the bin, as there was nowhere to put it. They had ample staff to deal with it, but I wonder if it was too much like hard work?

    Everytime I’ve been in , peak time or not, tables upstairs and downstairs are full of rubbish and left for ages until you ask a member of staff to clean it even when they’ve been back and forth themselves and not bothered. there is no sauce machine downstairs neither , I find this inconvenient , I use table service on the app and you can’t request the normal sauce. Food takes about 10mins when it’s busy and I understand this, however , recently seem to be waiting even longer not matter how I order. Probably the worst McDonald’s in Newcastle in terms of cleanliness and punctuality

    1 star is way too high, but is the lowest I'm allowed to give. Filthy dirty, no customer service at all!!! Actively try to pass you off if you've paid. I had to wait 50mins to find out they didn't know where the order was....and I was not alone. I was one of a couple voicing are disgust and demanded a refund. There was no real apology, just the flippant wet "sorry what can I do??" with undertones of "don't care, I hate my life move on....YOUR JOB!! I recommend bypass this one and use the one at Grainger st, the service is much better.

    Waiting 10 minutes for fast food isn't acceptable. The floors and tables hadn't been cleaned. Security staff required to keep teenage kids congregating inside from causing mischief. Didn't feel safe and was glad to get out once my stepson finished his meal.

    I visited yesterday with my 1 year old Grandson . I was trying to use the machine to order our food but struggling due to poor eyesight. Without hesitation Graham one of the assistants nearby came over and did it all for me and had it delivered to my table for me. I was so grateful as it was so busy standing in the queue with a hungry 1 year old wouldn’t have been ideal. He also went out of his way to find a high chair for us and was attentive throughout our time there. Graham seemed to me through observation to be a lovely sociable helpful member of your team and I hope he gets the recognition he deserves! He certainly made my visit less stressful! Thanks so much Graham!!

    Ordered at the machine , but it wouldn't let me pay for some reason and I got a ticket from the machine with an order number on it. I then waited in the queue for food for half an hour , waiting for the order number to come up on the screen. It was then that I asked a staff m member why I was waiting so long and they said that I had to go to a separate area after ordering at the machine, where I have to pay AFTER ordering from the machine and then go to the queue for food area !!! No instructions to follow this proceedure - terrible business management and unacceptable wait after no instructions whatsoever, I'm surprised they have any customers. The Franchisees may think that these standards are acceptable in India, but it's disgraceful here in the U.K., unfortunately, they should be named , shamed & fined by the council.

    Rarely visit this branch and was reminded why on this trip. Order screens had no paper for receipts so then had to go and queue again to speak to someone. When I got to from of that queue, told me it was the wrong queue and I had to queue at a different till. Food arrived fairly quickly (pre Christmas shopping, early evening). Tables were all either full or disgusting - stick, full of uncleared rubbish and sauce smeared on the tables. It's disgusting customers can't clear own trays and that staff just leave it all to build up. The store had a strong smell of vomit/urine. Horrible visit, wouldn't go back.

    Used the app to order which is very handy and it's also gives points. The only negative is the price increase! No more 99p saver cheese burgers, now £1.59! But fast service and polite staff.

    The missing 1 star is probably not there fault. Lots of customer traffic anytime you go. So they prepare fries and hang it to be packed. But sometimes the fries then becomes cold and soggy. Despite having a lot of staff. That is my only complaint. Other than that it is as good as it can be.

    The most depressing place to be. Big Mac meal was barely warm, fries were ok and the coffee was not coffee as we know it. The students and visitors from abroad seem to be the main customers. Not a great place to eat. I would rather stand in the rain and eat crisps than go into this place again.

    burgers were above average for McDonald's, generally a big Mac is a big Mac but this was fresh and had lots of salad on it. the place itself is a city centre fast food place so chaotic, not McDonald's fault just everyone wants to use at the same time. I wouldn't have gone in but my seven year old insisted....

    Alright Maccies, pretty quick in getting your order to you. Could probably put a sign in the disabled toilet they use at night to say press button to get out as one night when slightly drunk thought I was trapped in until I notice the release button!

    Ordered on the MyMcDonalds app and my order came quickly even though it was very busy. They brought me the wrong burger but within a couple of minutes of telling a member of staff passing by she gave me the right burger. She was lovely and sorted it quickly.

    I've been to this McDonalds many times during the day but popped in after a night drinking as you do. Service was good, quick and food was fresh and hot. However it was difficult to find a seat, not because it was busy because it wasn't, but due to the amount of dirty tables with rubbish etc still on. Considering it was quiet wouldn't have taken much to clean.

    I have placed order around 2:30am today via Mc delivery app . I have ordered coke (2 ) , vegetable deluxe , mayo chicken and a Box of 20 nuggets which asked me to add up any 4 dips ( ketchup) so I did too . When I got my delivery they was no dips inside not even one dip , and I don’t have any sauce at my home too which was really frustrating. The coke came without ice ( when you guys have no ice at restaurant you should notify customer or at least fill the cup completely) I received around 3/4 filled . When I called customer care they were like I can’t help sir . It’s 3rd party service next time please order directly through Uber eats without using Mc delivery then we can help you . I request you guys when people order midnight or early morning please be responsible and take care while packing order . Don’t make people uncomfortable and provide good quality and service . Thank you

    Really dirty, lots of people which makes it hard for the staff to clean in time. Staff was very nice when we asked to clean the table. But still had stains that had been there for a while. Food came cold as well.

    Kitchen people looking at phones and sipping drinks while front is pending and runners taking their time, called about 20 numbers after mine that included multiple meals and big orders- I’d understand if it was a small drink or something- but I only ordered 2 burgers! Then when I did eventually get my food after 25+ minutes when I spoke up, one of my burgers were wrong- and both cold of course.

    Minging Minging minging. Food everywhere on the floor and tables and it was absolutely swarming with flies. Me and my toddler were trying to find a clean table and the security guard pointed me over to a dirty table and said that’s the cleanest one 😂😂😂 like really ?? But I’ve never ever been in a food place that has been this dirty. Vile Definitely not child friendly because there’s people shouting and swearing and no one says anything!

    Ordered McDonald’s today I got a double Big Mac with bacon and extra cheese and no bun as I am allergic to gluten, burger had no bacon, no extra cheese and the sauce was all under the patties, didn’t even end up eating my meal. Was looking forward to this as haven’t been McDonald’s in ages, disappointed to say the least, won’t be returning

    Since covid reopening this venue has declined. Food is slow, seating often occupied even when additional seating areas are available. Serious grievance here is that delivery drivers (uber eat, just eat, deliveroo etc) swarm the collection area when the order isn't ready, getting in the way, whilst also dumping their bags in the way. Serious suggestion, make them wait in the front of the store so they're out the way! Real change needs to happen in this regard.

    Busy and the waiting time can be exhausting. The space inside should be reconfigured to accommodate all sorts of visitors independently. Food is usually well served!

    We went at lunch expecting it to be busy - which it was - so we ordered via the touchscreen. We went to go pay, and had to say our order to confirm it was ours (?) and yet they still got it wrong, although they had it printed on a receipt and said to them. I ordered a Big Mac, and asked for a lot of the toppings to not be put on as I don’t like them, but I got every single topping. I personally do not have any allergies, but if this happened to someone who did have allergies, it would be incredibly dangerous.

    usually horrifically busy but i’ve never had an issue apart from having to wait a while. if you’re coming and planning on ordering on the screens though be sure to keep an eye out for your order number flashing on the screen because 99% of the time the receipt printers are broken so you’ll miss your number if you aren’t careful

    Dirtiest McDonald's I've ever seen everything dirty, garbage everywhere. Chairs and tables are falling apart. It is very dilapidated. I do not recommend it, especially as the better one is not far away

    Well I have just been in and bought my son a wrap and small chips! Came out the chips were cold so we binned them and my son opened his. Wrap it was freezing! So I had to go back and speak to the manager- Jess- omg soooo rude! She refused to give my order again as I didn't bring the chips back! I offered to get them out the bin! Then she got me my order and guess what chicken was cold again! I'm foaming how rude! I got my money back but I will never be back! If that's management McDonald's you should be ashamed
