Absolute waste of time trying to get an appointment. Have to call at 8:30 and you can never get through to them. When you do you’re told there is no appointments. If you only have one day off a week you can’t even book an appointment in advance. You have to keep calling and hoping you can get through. The system is fine if you don’t work or aren’t busy at 8:30 in the morning. But if you have a life that doesn’t revolve around trying to get an appointment around the doctors, forget about it. Clearly the best thing to do with people who are experiencing health concerns is to make it difficult and frustrating to get any kind of care.

Contact made on various occasions via telephone and econsult with doctors coming back to me on same day to complete triage and was to pick up new prescription on same day. On two occasions was offered face to face appointments when needed. In general my experience of receptionists, nurses and doctors has been excellent. I have found all very caring and supportive and can't speak more highly of the team x

If you guys don't have appointments why are you opened than. Will be filing an complaint with patients association and ombudsman who governs this kind of GPs. Anyone who is struggling with such issues and any kind of issues where your health problem has been ignored you can file a complaint with this association.

In order to make an appointment you have to start calling at 8:30 am and hope that you get through in the next 15 minutes otherwise there are no appointments left for you. Last week I called 108 times, yes you read correctly, 108 times, starting at 8:30 on the dot. Only got through at 08:46 when you guessed right, there were no appointments left. Today it is the same thing, and of course, now as I write this review, there are no appointments left. Meanwhile I am left with a sick baby home! Great service what can I say! But it's fine because I was advised to call on Monday. I will time when my baby gets sick next time so it suits you!

I've been a patient at this practice for about 10 years now. I have never had an issue getting an appointment if I need one, and they are great at working around my access requirements (I'm deaf and can't use the phone). I tend to use e-consults and these work really well for me. I am a GP myself so know how much pressure they are under at the moment, but everyone working here has been unfailingly kind and helpful. Great work!

I’ve been to this doctors frequently in the last year or so and whilst I always found it easy to get an appointment I’ve also consistently found that the GP’s & nurses can be quite dismissive or totally ignore things that I’m saying. There was a lovely GP there but she’s recently left & my care was transferred to someone else, and the appointment I had with this other doctor left me in hysterics after I felt totally invalidated and made to feel very alone in dealing with my illness. It’s just been a very frustrating and upsetting process trying to get medical help from this practice

Receptionist Lisa is always very helpful. Conversely, young male receptionist really needs to get some customer service training. I've found him to be very unpleasant to deal with, specifically he does not listen and starts to talk over you in a preaching manner.

Anyone complaining about it being difficult to get an appointment should really try living in any major city south of Leeds I've just moved back from London after 6 months, one of the main reasons being because I have a few health issues and I needed better GP sevice...and I get it from Biddestone every single time

Dr Pearston Review: This woman is truly a nightmare doctor. She is seriously behind on latest (and basic) medical research and updates. Her attitude is abrasive and abrupt and on countless occasions over the years she pried uninvited into my personal affairs that had absolutely no relation to my needing medical attention. Avoid this doctor at all costs!

Despite the pressures on the NHS and GP in particular, I always feel looked after at Biddlestone. Good job everyone!

I've been half a dozen times and I get a different doctor everytime. They've also been getting my repeat prescription wrong for months even though I keep explaining it's the wrong one. I've been meaning to switch practices for a while, it's about time I done it. I can't deal with these anymore. I definitely wouldn't recommend this practice.

Dr Dutta goes beyond the call of duty. She has been so sympathetic towards my son needing a toilet pass for school and also contacted my Surgeon to get me on the urgent list for a nerve block. She is the best doctor I have ever had and a real asset to your surgery. Thank you from my Son who now can enjoy school with out the embarrassment of thinking he will wet himself through the day ♥

Spent ages on phone to book appointment, this was expected. When I got through the queue I was told I could have a return phone call appointment. I accepted a return phone call to then immediately be told they couldn’t do it and to call again tomorrow.

Have been with this practice for nearly 10 years and have always received great care. Originally found the system for booking appointments a bit odd but now very grateful, especially when comparing with friends and family registered elsewhere who have to wait ages to see their doctor. To be able to phone up and be spoken to or seen on the same day is great. Recommend setting an alarm on your phone for 8.28am and then rediallling until you get through.

I have no problem arranging an appointment if not pre booked, ring up after 8:30 am. The doctors I prefer to see are excellent. Only criticism is the problem with my prescription, always have issues with it.

The Doctor and nurses are professional and efficient. I usually get a call back within a few hours and always follow up checks if even the slightest complication. 👍🏽

The doctors are the most thorough and caring doctors I've experienced. They are attentive and work on getting the best diagnosis and treatment they can for you. It's tricky getting appointments as they take on so many patients but if you ring them in the morning you should be okay getting one.

Please thank the trainee doctor that came to my home on Monday to help me with my back injury, now up and about and mobile again. Thanks for the excellent service.

Tried to book an appointment yesterday as I have an ear infections that is causing my ear to bleed, not huge amounts to where I would need to go to a&e but bleeding is never good. I went to the walk in clinic and they told me that I would need to see my GP to get an ENT referral. So I call them at 8:50 barring in mind they open at 8:30. Can't get an appointment until next month. I explain to the receptionist that my ear is bleeding so waiting a month isn't really an option to which he agreed with and suggests that I ring back tomorrow to try and book an emergency appointment that are only available on the day. Thinking it's a bit odd that he is suggesting call tomorrow as opposed to today to confirm what time I can ring from. He confirms that it open at 8:30 so ring any time after that, meaning that today the appointments had all gone in 20min. I'm also I type one diabetic so thought whilst I'm on the phone I should book a diabetic check up as I'm due to have one soon and if the wait is a month I should probably book one now. To which I was told, well you'll be seeing the GP tomorrow so there's no point in booking an appointment now. Tomorrow comes and I try again. I start calling from 8:25 to make sure I get seen to. They don't turn their phones ON until 8:35 and then I have to wait another 10min before someone answers it, to be told they are fully booked try again tomorrow. 2 days in a row I have called before the GP has been opened half an hour to be no appointments try again tomorrow, what's the point really

This is meant to be one of the best doctors in Heaton. But since covid it has went down hill massively. When you ring up for help, they always try and fob you off to the website, even if the solution isn't there. All they care about is getting you off the phone. If you don't ring at 830am they won't be able to help you at all and often try and fob you off to the walk in clinic instead of dealing with your issues.
