We couldn’t be any happier with our recent wedding at Tinta. The whole experience was incredible. From the very first enquiry Laura was fantastic, so responsive and helpful. The restaurant and grounds are beautiful and made for the perfect space for our special day. The food & drinks were delicious and the staff were amazing, so friendly and attentive. Our guests haven’t stopped raving about it all. I can’t fault anything about the whole experience. Highly recommend you check Tinta out for your next event!

Whilst we had booked online and for the 2nd time there was no booking for us. We were seated in the landing area which was ok except the table was covered in ant's. No table service you have to order by that bloody QR code via your phone. We ordered the Calamari which was undercooked the cauliflower and prosciutto salad was beautiful Mains were the steak again was lovely The Servers are ordinary We should not have to ask for shared plates multiply times and serviettes. Please train them on the correct way to pour a glass of wine even to offer a sample first. And teach them not to eyeroll when asked something. We were never rude and asked with manners. We wanted to give Tinta the benefit of the doubt and try again. Unfortunately we will not be back 😕

As far as atmosphere and location goes this place is a massive tick. The sunset view over the lake from the deck was stunning with a bottle of wine. The food was delicious, I enjoyed the Bresaola, baked scallops and lobster roll. The only thing I’d add was to improve the lacklustre finish on the roll with salmon roe and julienne carrots to lift it up like in previous photos. The dessert ‘chocolate ganache’ wasn’t lying it was literally a giant smear of cake icing on a plate which ordinarily I would have loved but it was too rich for me so only managed 2 spoonfuls. Lighter like a mousse and I would have licked the plate. The service was quite good and friendly, for this style of establishment I would have given 5 stars if I’d been offered water instead of having to find it myself and had cutlery set before my meals arrived. Only minor, but they sold themselves short by not giving me an option to tip when paying by card as I don’t carry cash these days. It was an easy $20. I’d definitely revisit this place with a group to try their shared plates. Keep up the great work!

A bit underwhelmed with the menu. Small share squid, tasty , very small for$22. Lamb neck served cold and un seasoned. Vegetables inconsistent some well cooked, others hard. Salmon , described as very average. Beetrootsald , very odd ! Beetroot was a wird yellow colour and not beetroot like. Fish tacos , Looked like and tasted like they were wrapped in cardboard, Fish was crumbed , overcooked and lacking Fish. Had to go to bar to receive a lemonade that was ordered 20 minutes earlier. So ordered another couple of drinks while there as we hadn't been asked in a long time. Pricey , Underwhelming, not sure what the hype is.... Perhaps not a good night.

Incredible food. All 3 dishes we ordered were delicious: Barramundi with clam chowder, beef butcher’s cut, vanilla cheesecake with blueberry compote. The mains were a decent portion size however I was super hungry and felt I could have done with a starter too. The dessert looked like a deconstructed cheesecake and it was one of the tastiest desserts I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend it!

Service was by far the best thing about Tinta. The establishment seems relatively young (renovated) and the food was good- I bet when it matures a bit it will be doubly good! I had a lovely meal with family. The food came out fast, albeit the Lamb was mostly Fat and not meat which made me feel a bit overwhelmed as the weather was cool so the days turned white faster than we could dog in. My favourite was indeed the egg plant, very well executed followed by the lobster roll! The carrots were not how they looked on the menu and did lack a bit of flavour being over cooked or reheated. The drinks were the bomb! Fantastic execution and very aesthetically pleasing! Very impressed. Parking not an issue- the side streets are really good place to stop. The scenery is great and I mentioned it before but the service was tops and that really matters a lot, especially coz we aren’t from the area! Feeling welcomed after a long drive is so important!

Stunning view over the lake and very nice touch on the renovations inside. It’s great to see a new addition to Belmont. I don’t want to compare it to 8 at trinity but it’s hard not to. And unfortunately no where near the same in terms of attention to detail. We called ahead to make sure there was availability and to double check closing times, but unfortunately there was more a tone of a “couldn’t care if you came or not voice” when we spoke to staff. The seafood platter was nice, but nothing that would leave you buzzing to tell your friends about it. Would love to see some changes- personally I don’t think the lobster rolls and sourdough fit, more of a fill you up instead.

My expectation was high & Tinta certainly delivered on location, beverages, lovely staff & service but my food was very ordinary. The other three people at the table enjoyed their meals, so I guess I made the wrong choices - lobster roll was straight from the fridge - would have been better if the brioche was lightly toasted & the Barramundi with clam chowder - sauce was quite bland & didn't have much going for it. We had a lovely Tulloch Pinot Gris & a very nice Margan Chardonnay. $180/couple.

It was an amazing night overlooking beautiful Lake Macquarie. Very relaxed atmosphere, staff attentive and knowledgeable. Great selection of wines and my husband reckons he had THE best Old Fashion cocktail he has ever had! Food was fresh and delicious. I had the lobster roll and linguine , my husband had the tofu and swordfish. We will definitely be regular diners. Love that they also are dog friendly in a separate downstairs deck area too.

Took my wife here on our weekend away. We ordered the lobster roll, calamari and scallops for entree - scallops and calamari were ok, lobster roll was like other reviews, stodgy seafood mince on a questionable hotdog looking roll. For mains, I requested two ‘5+ marble score premium steaks’ at $60 a pop. Upon asking for my pregnant wife’s steak to be cooked well done (for health reasons) was advised the steak only comes out one way… Not even the ‘Catho Pub’ has such rudimentary capabilities. The gentleman working was able to rectify this to his credit for a well done steak to appear.. After requesting cutlery to eat our mains, we quickly ate our meals before settling the bill. $260 for a very modest meal and one not drinking any alcohol. Lovely fit out and menu (in theory). Very disappointing quality and cost of the experience.

We had a group of 18 and what a beautiful evening we had. Divine cocktails on the deck at sunset, then exquisite meals, which were very generous portions. Attentive service, too. We took advantage of the $49 August/September deal, and it was such a great experience that we think we'll come back before this fantastic offer ends. The location is a standout overlooking the lake and the decor is fresh and coastal chic.

Visited on Sunday for a birthday. We booked an outside table but were sat near the entry. Found the staff to be unorganised. We weren't greeted and had to ask for a drink (multiple times) Then, during the lunch service, we had multiple people checking in on us and had 2 different people come to take our order. For the price & and location, we expected a certain level of service. This wasn't even close to having met. One of the males working seemed so unenthusiastic about being there. The menu was overpriced for the share meals, and we found that one of the side salads appeared to be from a bag (but with additions). Wine & cocktails were good. If you're visiting I'd also recommend to allow extra time for parking.

Great experience ! The food was very fresh and delicious, the Coco suave cocktail a must try. Keep some room for the dessert and try this amazing cheesecake ! Extra point for the staff that has been friendly, available and professional. Will definitely recommend it for a special occasion.
