Very good Australian Thai, coconut rice is excellent. All working here very polite and friendly, prices fair and the place is very clean.

First time ordering from this restaurant, and I am a hesitant person with new places, especially Asian cuisines. As I waited for the food, the other meals being bought out to tables looked fresh and delicious, the store and staff are tidy and service is friendly. When I drove 20 mins back home and plated up, I was impressed with the portions and ratios. The vegetables were nice and chunky, and still had the fresh 'crunch' after cooked. The sauces/juices were well portioned to cover/soak up rice after plating and tasted fresh and authentic too! I called the store to pass onto the chefs how yummy and fresh it tasted (which I have never felt the need to do anywhere but this time they had to be appreciated)! Best Thai I have ever had and the recipes seem authentic to the chefs working in there :) We ordered beef-chilli basil, chicken cashew, coconut rice and prawn spring rolls! My new go to for Thai and looking forward to becoming a regular customer!

I’ve eaten at a lot of different Thai places including Thailand and this is the best Thai I have ever had. I ordered a pad Thai and coconut rice and it was incredible. My first time there and I will be back every time I want Thai. Amazing!!

Reasonably tasty standard Thai food, but …. Chicken Satay entree was lucky to cover one third of a very small skewer. Salt and Pepper Squid entree looked as though it was from a frozen supermarket packet. Main meals (curry and stir fry) were quite small servings, mainly sauce and you had to really search to find the protein and vegetables. Still hungry.

Tried Otter Thai as I had heard good things. They far exceeded my expectations and I would go as far to say that the food was better than any of the finest Thai in Newcastle CBD. I’m very excited as since moving to the suburbs 12yrs ago I have been missing eating good Thai. We had the green curry with beef, Satay sauce with chicken and Chili jam with beef and it was all amazing. I asked questions while waiting for my take away. The restaurant is BYO and they deliver, yes even to Caves Beach.

I just ordered from Otto Thai and all I can say is DELICIOUS. We had garlic pepper chicken , Pad Ka Poa and they did 2 eggs for us so we didn't have to share one egg, Thai fried rice, plain rice, Pad Sei EW and panang beef. They are friendly and the meals are great. Make time to go and have a meal here you will not regret it.

Every dish shared between my partner and I was delicious. I am not sure which dish I would recommend as I want to eat all of them again. If you're interested we had satay chicken, Panang curry and Pad Kee Mow. Highly recommended coming here. I will be coming back.

I only noticed this place the other day and thought we'd try some takeaway. Wow I'm so pleased I did. Their massaman beef curry was to die for. Big tender beef chunks in a delicious sauce. Fish cakes were delicious with a bit of a heat kick and the satay chicken skewers were so tender and moreish. The coconut rice rivals any I've tried in Thailand. So pleased you're in my neighbourhood.

We recently held our Christmas in July here at Otter Thai, and we cannot speak more highly of the experience! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the service was spot on. The whole group were stoked - meals were quick and piping hot - what more could a hungry team want? Thanks again for a great night Otter Thai - we will be back! Food was awesome. Summer of the best Thai I've ever had. Service and atmosphere are a little basic but easily forgiven for the quality of the food. Highly recommended.

The best Thai restaurant in town. The food was yummy and have authentic Thai touch. Pad See Ew was really nice, i like that it had smoky wok aroma.
