I went shopping at Coles GreenHills this afternoon 11.8.23 and it was a concering experience. Coles has introduced extra self service checkouts, there are few serviced checkouts available but only one was open. I found myself in a long que of10 people waiting to be served.There was one checkout operator available who was trying to get everyone through. As a customer I want to be treated with more considerstion. I currently have a disability and don`t think it is worth my while to go through this again. I am so disapointed that there has not been more thought go into the impact that this cost cutting exercise has had on Coles customers. or maybe they don`t care. I know that Coles profits have improved. What about looking after loyal customers.

Has new automatic gates that block you from leaving even when you've fairly traded your currency for there goods. It's Aldis time to shine

I'm very disappointed that your Greenhills NSW store has removed checkouts in place of self serves. I don't work at Coles, I don't get paid (or a discount) for checking items out myself. What exactly prompts you to think customer want this? This is a bad customer experience, no customer says to themselves "I would rather do the work myself". I wont be shopping at your stores that have implemented this non-customer feedback focused strategy, and I sincerely you experience a drop in sales and rise in checkout theft as a reaction to your money grab. Side note: If someone checks out expensive items as cheap ones, its not their fault. They aren't check out clerks and you haven't trained them.

Great service and out in short time frame. (time slot 10-12) Hardly any signs though, which makes finding it hard. But have added pictures now to help others.

We’ve never had an issue before tonight, but my husband was left waiting with a full trolley for a checkout to open, while several staff stood nearby and ignored him, an hour before closing time, for at least 30 minutes. Seriously rude.

My recent experience at the ‘gated’ self checkout, where I was made to feel like I was going get patted down prior to leaving, with my bbq chook, left me headed for Aldi! Terrible experience.

Twice in a week I've bought a pack of pre made wraps past their use by date. They weren't even on markdown I paid full price. They smelled rancid once taken out of the packet and aren't edible. Hopefully extra care or food safety training can be provided before anyone gets food poisoning. A child wouldn't be able to know it's off...
