I
chose
Troy
to
sell
our
Newcastle
house
because
he
came
across
as
a
truthful,
caring
person
who
was
more
than
willing
to
communicate.
He
was
also
prepared
to
change
the
contract
so
that
it
was
fair
to
both
parties,
not
one
sided,
towards
the
Agent.
He
wanted
the
house
painted,
which
we
did,
he
wanted
the
house
styled,
which
we
did,
he
wanted
several
other
items
fixed
which
we
did,
and
he
arranged,
as
it
was
previously
a
rental
and
we
wanted
to
ensure
the
house
was
presented
as
good
as
possible.
He
ended
up
selling
the
house,
within
the
price
range
he
put
on
the
paperwork
but
for
a
lower
amount
than
was
spoken
about
during
our
many
conversations.
To
his
credit,
he
reduced
his
commission
and
waived
the
advertising
fees
as
compensation.
If
this
was
the
end
of
the
story,
I
would
have
given
him
4
maybe
5
stars.
My
biggest
problem
with
Troy
was
communications,
which
was
fantastic
for
the
first
10
days,
up
to
we
rejected
the
1st
offer
20K
below
what
we
had
informed
him
was
our
lowest
price
about
10
days
into
the
process.
This
offer
was
well
below
the
value
he
had
verbally
said
he
believed
it
would
sell
for
but
just
within
the
range
on
the
paperwork
he
supplied.
After
this,
all
he
did
was
give
excuses
that
he
was
sick,
he
was
in
hospital
dying,
some
other
family
member
was
critically
ill
to
name
some.
It
is
easy
to
forgive
with
these
types
of
excuses
but
how
many
times
do
you
accept
it
in
such
a
short
period
of
time.
On
top
of
this,
from
this
point
onwards
all
we
heard
time
after
time,
the
yard
was
too
steep,
he
claimed
it
would
cost
$100K
to
build
retaining
walls
so
people
wanted
a
reduced
price
and
having
done
retaining
walls
before,
I
knew
the
approximate
cost,
and
his
estimate
was
an
exaggeration.
He
also
claimed
at
one
stage
that
he
did
not
realize
the
block
had
such
a
big
slope,
but
he
praises
himself
on
his
knowledge
of
the
and
I
had
asked,
and
he
confirmed
he
had
seen
the
outside
of
the
house
only
before
I
signed
with
him
because
there
was
a
tenant
inside
or
was
this
a
lie.
Or
would
say
there
was
nothing
to
report
so
I
didn't
call,
even
though
he
had
promised
too.
Another
excuse
was,
I
did
not
call
because
I
was
not
able
to
communicate
with
the
person
who
put
in
an
offer,
so
leaving
us
in
the
dark
was
fine
but
we
never
had
anything
in
writing
and
always
an
excuse
why
there
was
no
contract.
He
sent
my
wife
and
myself
a
nice
present
just
before
settlement,
which
was
nice.
If
he
could
always
be
honest
and
communicate
the
way
he
started
thru
the
whole
process,
my
star
rating
would
have
been
very
different.
