Professional and tailored sales service from a genuine person . Troy did a great job on our home sale, he made himself available and answered any questions we had. He was flexible to talk to even with my busy work schedule. Troy stepped up and took on helping us get the house ready for sale by coordinating trades to get the home in sale ready shape sooner than we could have had time to do ourselves. The home sale achieved a fair price within the first week of being on the market and was above the first offer price from the buyer. It was everything we could have hoped to achieve.

Genuine, knowledgeable and professional agent! Working with Troy and the team at First National Real Estate Lake Macquarie was a fabulous experience from the moment I made the initial phone call to the time the property was sold. Troy's knowledge in the market and local area was second to none and proved to be a winning formula for the sale of our house. Communication from Troy was excellent at all times and we always knew exactly what was happening throughout the sale process. Troy went above and beyond our expectations to market our house and was able to negotiate a price higher than we had hoped for. I would have no hesitation in using First National Lake Macquarie again and would highly recommend Troy and the team to anyone looking for a genuine, knowledgeable and professional agent.

Great service and professionalism by Agent Troy Duncan. Really happy with Troy as our agent, he was extremely professional and when I reached out initially he really made me feel like he worked for me. All my appointments were to suit my availabilities and no ask was too much for him. Our original buyer pulled out on the last cooling off day which was devastating however Troy secured a 2nd buyer within 24 hours! happy with the end result.

Couldn't be happier with our experience . We first dealt with Troy Duncan when he sold us our first home in 2014. Troy was nothing but professional and knowledgeable but also down to earth, up for a laugh and friendly. He made the whole experience hassle free and enjoyable so 9 years later when we decided to sell our house we immediately thought of Troy who again made the whole selling process a breeze, keeping us up to date along that way and guiding us through the process. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending Troy to family and friends when buying or selling due to his experience, knowledge, professionalism and just for generally being a down to earth, honest agent. Thanks Troy!

Friendly and experienced . We went to Troy after being disappointed with our first agent. Troy reassured us that he would look after the sale of our investment property. Troy went out of his way to reassure the tenant as well as us. His professional approach led to a successful sale above our asking price. He even shouted me dinner while I was down in the area doing some repairs on the house before it went on the market. I’d be happy to use Troy at First National again to either buy another investment property or sell.

I chose Troy to sell our Newcastle house because he came across as a truthful, caring person who was more than willing to communicate. He was also prepared to change the contract so that it was fair to both parties, not one sided, towards the Agent. He wanted the house painted, which we did, he wanted the house styled, which we did, he wanted several other items fixed which we did, and he arranged, as it was previously a rental and we wanted to ensure the house was presented as good as possible. He ended up selling the house, within the price range he put on the paperwork but for a lower amount than was spoken about during our many conversations. To his credit, he reduced his commission and waived the advertising fees as compensation. If this was the end of the story, I would have given him 4 maybe 5 stars. My biggest problem with Troy was communications, which was fantastic for the first 10 days, up to we rejected the 1st offer 20K below what we had informed him was our lowest price about 10 days into the process. This offer was well below the value he had verbally said he believed it would sell for but just within the range on the paperwork he supplied. After this, all he did was give excuses that he was sick, he was in hospital dying, some other family member was critically ill to name some. It is easy to forgive with these types of excuses but how many times do you accept it in such a short period of time. On top of this, from this point onwards all we heard time after time, the yard was too steep, he claimed it would cost $100K to build retaining walls so people wanted a reduced price and having done retaining walls before, I knew the approximate cost, and his estimate was an exaggeration. He also claimed at one stage that he did not realize the block had such a big slope, but he praises himself on his knowledge of the and I had asked, and he confirmed he had seen the outside of the house only before I signed with him because there was a tenant inside or was this a lie. Or would say there was nothing to report so I didn't call, even though he had promised too. Another excuse was, I did not call because I was not able to communicate with the person who put in an offer, so leaving us in the dark was fine but we never had anything in writing and always an excuse why there was no contract. He sent my wife and myself a nice present just before settlement, which was nice. If he could always be honest and communicate the way he started thru the whole process, my star rating would have been very different.

Fabulous knowledge and communication. Troy is a truly dedicated and knowledgeable Agent and was an absolute pleasure to deal with on all levels during the selling of my house. I actually bought the house through Troy 6 years ago and would have no hesitation in recommending him and his team whether buying or selling.

Professional , friendly and down to earth. I have had my home rented out with Zac, and he is excellent at his job. He was always willing to help with anything. When it came time to sell Troy assisted with the sale, he was down to earth and was great to work with as this was the sale of my first home. He guided me through the process and kept me up to date at all times. I would highly recommend First National to anyone! Thank you Troy, Zac and the Team.
