A great place for burgers or some really good fish & chips. The staff are friendly and attentive. The ingredients I've found have been consistently fresh and good quality. A true Newy legend takeaway shop, a good secret worth discovering👍

Amazing customer service! The young girl serving and cooking tonight was so lovely, had amazing customer service and the food she cooked up was 10/10 ! And no only that but $26 for 2 burgers massive lots of chips and a Pluto pup! You can’t go wrong 😍 I always forget about this little shop but I will make sure to remember from now on! Cant recommend enough.

Won't answer phone calls during trading hours, what's the point of even being open. Called at 7.30, trading open until 8.

Told they won't be taking EFTPOS, but only for weekends(?). Because of "cash flow". This shop is already the most expensive for fish and chips in the area but I guess they don't want to pay tax on sales on weekends. There was a comment about kids not knowing what piggy banks will be in the future which is neither here nor there. As a fellow business owner this did not sit right with me at all. I guess I just won't go back? A medium chips is $9. The cocktail fish is $3. The chips tasted nice but the cocktail fish is average. Edit: did not say anything about the price, just stating what it was. I see they made no comment about the actual issue I said above.

Just want to say food is usually really good here. Today was not the case. I got some fish cocktails and they were very dry not at all worth $18 for the six. Chips tasted great so did the cal rings. But what was beyond an actual joke is paying $7 for a single 1.25 ltr Pastio bottle and $7 for two 47g mars bars I didn't see prices on the fridge where I got them and only found out they were $14 total once the card reader was presented. I was shocked. The lady who served me was also in disgust at the cost and said shes not happy with it either. It may be out of her control but it cost $1.50 to $2.50 max at woolies for the same drink and $2 for a mars bar at woolies which is not that bad. Im struggling to see how $4.50-5.50 profit is acceptable for a 1.25ltr drink. I understand Inflation and Interest is causing a lot of issues for people but this is just price gouging. Not to mention they would buy in bulk getting wholesale prices so their savings they would be making would be far more than buying retail

Always great food from this little fish n chip shop. They offer a vast gluten-free menu with a totally gluten-free section in the shop for food and cooking and it's all super yummy. Pauline is great and a fellow celiac who understands about keeping food free from gluten, as well as a lovely service provider.

Little hidden gem. Had their works burgers and chips twice and both times found them to be my favourite burgers in Newcastle. Excellent hot chips too. Tastes how you remember good fish and chips tasting.

I went there looking for a great old-style classic hamburger and WOW... What an incredible burger it was, and the cook is very friendly and conversational... There's a great friendliness with the staff and customers and I really enjoyed seeing that, it's lacking in so, so many so called "modern" take aways these days and I also really enjoyed seeing the bagged lollies there for the kids, you don't see that too much these days... Great experience and food, you have a new customer in me (and I've been going to the same local hamburger shop for 30 years, but now I'll change... So very well done)!

Delicious crumbed fish, made fresh on ordering! The owner Pauline is lovely , you can tell she puts a lot of care into the quality of her food. Fantastic service and delicious seafood! A great local business.
