People whine that Blakeney pies are all bottom with no top - but I think there's just more to love. And its about what's inside that counts anyway - and that's the best part of these pies. It might be a hot mess but it's also a top notch steak dinner with that delicious home made gravy made from the bits that caught on the pan. I just picked up one of these bad boys fresh out of the oven at 5am and I think I'm ruined for life.

Customer service was very friendly and polite. Pie was almost perfection but I think that comes down to personal preference. The filling I could not fault. Pepper steak pie on point. But I would rate 9/10 just because I love a flakey pastry on the top of a pie. Would definitely recommend supporting this business!

I had my very first Blakeney's pie today as per recommendation and I must say it was most definitely the best pie I've had to date. Ordered a curry pie with a nice bit of heat and the chunks of tender steak were absolutely amazing. Also love the way it holds together while eating. Was left with a clean paper bag after I was finished! Will definitely be going back soon and will try and get my mates to tag along as well

Best pies in the world! I offen drive up on Saturday mornings and stock up as I live in Newcastle and work weekdays. Full of flavour and chunks of steak and a personal favourite for me is the shortcut pastry top and bottom so you don't get bloody crumbs everywhere.

Best cheese and bacon sausage rolls ever. However, not blaming them, prices have to go up to cover their purchasing starting to get out of reach to pensioners

Mate and I were staying in Maitland Friday night before continuing onto Qld and we were advised from a local that we should try a Blakeney's pie. The following morning we did just that and thoroughly enjoyed our pepper steak pies but what made these pies more enjoyable were the magnificent two ladies who served us. They were jovial and we were all having a great laugh and made our trip home so much the better along with our ripper pepper steak pies. Definitely calling there whenever I go past Maitland again.

We went here twice this week both times we had amazing customer service, the lady was friendly went above and beyond to help. The pies have always been my favourite and whenever I visit I just have to visit. Keep up the amazing work.

This is definitely not your average pie shop. The food is always full of flavour and the serving staff are always friendly. There is a reason why this little shop has ben around for so very long. Literally the best pies I've ever had!

Pies are great - so great they don't require sauce, they're THAT flavoursome. Sausage rolls are good (but they need sauce). Only downside to this place is they sell out quick each day.

Starving, stopped in for a much needed feed. Made sure the pies I was getting were chunky steak. They weren't (just sloppy, salty mince). Asked for my money back and got it, no sweat, which was appreciated. Ate elsewhere later.

Hands down the best pies I've ever had. I would drive an hour just to get them for lunch.

Sausage roll was mediocre, squishy. The service was poor, a smile can go a long way but it isn't what I got, I think the lady was having a bad day.

The pies here are next level. We get these on a weekly basis for the team at work. Everyone looks forward to a good pie on Fridays. Fantastic quality, great selection.

Chilli Cheese pie was incredible! One of my favorite pies I've ever had. Bacon Cheese sausage roll was average for me, I have another local place that does them really well so I had that to compare it to, but the damn pies were unreal! Highly recommend trying.

We ordered 5 pies shared with my family and they were all hands down the worst pies any of us had ever eaten. Out of the 5 pies, we were lucky if we even found 1 chunk of beef. They were full of jelly meat gravy - worse than eating dog food. I would never recommend these pies to anyone. In addition we all now feel unwell after consuming them.

Best bakery going for quality. You will pay top dollar but the cost/quality is on point. Would give 5 stars if there was a ounce of customer service available. Makes a big difference
