I'm not one to write reviews like this but I'm beyond upset about what happened and the fact there has been no apology or follow up after I emailed to inform you of what happened. I had my hair cut a few weeks back. The stylist completely hacked my hair to the point I had to have even more cut off elsewhere to even it out and the sides of my hair are so short that I've had to pay to have extensions. I've contacted the salon previously and they just asked for me to return to check it. I'm not comfortable doing so and that is where communication ended. All the work of growing my hair was gone in one visit and now I've had to pay out again to fix it and even more to correct it with extensions.

Visited them for a hair cut for me and daughter . Booked online in the day.Had lots of available slots . Booking was easy.Had to give my card details for booking. I reached few minutes before my slot.Was welcomed by Mckenna and Poppy who offered a drink and then discussed our choices .They gave a hair wash and then gave us a lovely styling ☺️. Overall a great experience. Mckenna and Poppy have been lovely and they know their job really well. Happy customers..will be back!!

I went to this salon the other day.. it was one of the best experiences i’ve ever had with a hairstylist! My stylist was so welcoming and really helped me pick what was best for me, i am in love with my new hair! The salon itself is stunning and always kept tidy!

This salon is the nicest salon my girlfriend has ever been too. The girls that work in there are always so friendly and you can tell are passionate about their work! Special shout-out to mikayla who always does her nails, my girlfriend is always over the moon with them as mikayla listens to what she wants and smashes them every time and more. She’s very thorough and she’s very attentive and is a real people person always so happy and you can tell she cares about her clients. Also McKenna did her hair a few weeks ago and again she listened and she achieved exactly what she wanted, offered advice where it was needed. She’s very bubbly and chatty and made her feel at ease, very professional service and all round just lovely friendly staff in a very modern up market salon. Attention to detail is something else the salon is very passionate about. 5 stars isn’t enough.

I went to dye my hair at Gina Ellis. The process was fine but the fine hair on my ears now is black and I need to bleach it. they didn’t use Vaseline to protect my ears or neck. I was really worried going to work with stains on my skin which it did happen. The lady who did my hair dye was not nice. she didn’t even bother asking me any questions not even how have your day been! I felt like a burden to her Second point pricing, I paid 74 ponds to do the dye and blow dry but I said to them I don’t want a blow dry because I will wash my hair when I go home anyway and I will do my own styling, she said well that’s fine if you don’t want to blow dry but you have to pay for it and this is the salon policy! But previously the salon told me that they have to blow dry my hair to make sure that this the colour that you wanted. The hair dresser didn’t even bother asking whether that was the colour I wanted. Then she said well you are paying for my time as a stylist which didn’t really make sense at all. Well I have my hair dyed now but the experience was not pleasant mainly the treatment I have received won’t be going back again it’s sad that you pay all that money to be treated like this.

This was my first visit and I will definitely be returning! My appointment was with Flo and she was lovely! Very attentive and she really listened to what I wanted and I really appreciated her advice and recommendation. I had a cut and finish and I'm delighted with the result- my hair was exactly as I had wanted it! Oh, and I was given a lovely cappuccino too!

I have been coming to Gina Ellis for a couple of years now, for both my hair and nails. I have never had a bad experience at the salon, all of the girls are lovely and I will always recommend to all of my friends. The girls(specifically Megan, Kay and Ame), including Gina have always made me feel welcome and I will never look to go anywhere else. Both Kay and Ame have been doing my nails and they always do a fantastic job. Meg has always done my hair and does it to a high standard every time. Cannot fault any of them. Thanks for all your hard work girls!

Had my nails done by Mikayla (BIAB and builder gel) and she was so lovely, she made me feel at ease, did an exceptional job and I would highly recommend her services. She also does make up which I hope to take advantage of in the future!!

Had poppy as a hairdresser for my money piece hair dye and toner. She did a wonderful job! Really really attentive and a lovely outcome. I found poppy really friendly and put me at ease. I then had a check up phone call a week later to make sure I was happy with my hair and the service which I thought was fantastic!!! Great service, great price!

The girls at Gina Ellis have always gone above and beyond my expectations. They have always been caring, kind and considerate. They always make you feel welcome as you go into the salon and make you feel like “family”. I booked my mum in for BIAB as a treat due to our family going through a bereavement - my mum had never been to Gina Ellis before, yet commented how incredible they made her feel and how welcomed she felt into a new environment. A special thank you to Kay and Amie. Thank you for not only being the incredible beauticians that you are, but also being incredible listeners and “therapists” in time of need.

I had my hair done by Zoe, she was lovely throughout the whole experience and helped to rejuvenate my dead ends with a good cut and finish. Very happy with the results and will definitely be coming back!!

Had my brows and lashes tinted. Had a good old chat with the nice girl who did them and made me feel comfortable as it was basically my first time. Not sure of her name but had lovely brows and long brown hair (young). We had a good chat and she also topped up my tint when I was being picky at the end. Can't complain. Very happy. Will come back again as soon as i need to.😁

Thank you Lauren for an amazing cut and blow dry. Had a complete change of image and really loved it. She took so much care and attention and gave great advice on hair care. Very professional.

Fantastic my hair is still so soft, and still looks great after 5 days. Also I would like to give a big shout out to flow who does and an amazing job to get my colour the way I wanted it.

They did my prol hair and makeup! I went in their with a veiw on what I wanted and they gave me even more 🥲the makeup !! OMG! It was sososo gorgeous literally even more then I could've asked for. They are all so so sweet there too! <333

After wanting my hair a bit brighter I booked myself in and had my hair done by the lovely Megan. I was able to get an appointment for both the consult and highlights within a couple of days. My hair is exactly as I wanted it, smells gorgeous and is as shiny as it has ever been. Amazing salon and very friendly staff, highly recommend!
