Beautiful place! Factory tour is highly recommended! As well as an afternoon tea. The museum (V&A Wedgwood collection) reviews the history of Wedgwood as well as share 3500 items of their works over the years. I wish I could have stayed more and also join at least one of the Creative Studio experiences.

What a wonderful place! Beautiful museum and free with amazing exhibitions of pottery world created by Josiah Wedgwood famous for all the Stoke on Trent but also fare away abroad with fascinating heritage. You can see the stories of him and of his workers inside the museum. And the most important , you can see the truly heritage of pretty and exclusive pottery, how it was developed, painted and created. I highly recommend this place to visit.

I recently went to the World of Wedgewood for my best friend's baby shower to have afternoon tea. The afternoon tea was lovely, we were given a good selection of sandwiches including beef brisket, cucumber and cream cheese, chicken., Ham hock and egg mayonnaise. Two different scones with jam and clotted cream. Then an arrangement of mini desserts, including a macaron, sticky toffee cake, brownie, an apple pie like cake and a lemon posset. The staff were very attentive, especially to the mother to be in regards to dietary requirements and keeping us hydrated with tea, coffee and water. There was complimentary prosecco on arrival or the option of a soft drink. I'd recommend the raspberry lemonade. They can also cater for vegetarians and gluten free dietary requirements.

An amazing experience and so much to do! Pot throwing experience is very good making 2 pots with a very friendly knowledgeable guide. You can spend quite a while in the V&A collection museum which is amazing particularly if you are interested in ceramics, however the very well curated collection takes you through industrial and social history. The development of the factory and the different styles of pottery. There's a few oral histories too. Not a huge amount to keep children amused but there's a trail with stamps to impress in the paper. Don't miss the Tea Rooms. Pricey but good value for money and cater extremely well for vegans as they have an afternoon tea for them. We had scones but the afternoon tea looks legendary and they will supply you with a nice box to take away what you can't manage. Excellent choice of teas and very good coffee. Different styled rooms and of course eating and drinking off Wedgwood's finest china! There's also a shop, an outlet shop with stuff from the parent company Fiskers and a local produce shop if you've any money left after all of that!

Amazing free museum with the excellent restaurant . Was able to have lunch without booking a table which was a lovely surprise. Fabulous food all presented on there own porcelain ware (Stunning) Everything used is for sale in shop, also the price of meal was so reasonable it actually compairs with eating out at any good pub or motorway cafe..... Looking forward to next visit and hopefully been able to book full tour and afternoon tea.

Amazing experience. The kids get exposure to a new sensory challenge and feel the achievement of making a customised clay 🏺. Next phase is to come and decorate it. The lady was assisting our kids step by step and she is very patient and kind with the children.

A beautiful heritage of the history of Wedgewood. Wedgwood is an English fine china, porcelain manufacturer that was founded on 1 May 1759. The museum is amazing as it catalogues with detailed samples of the China, ceramics, history etc. A well worth visit, completely under rated. Its a must visit if you are in the area. The restaurant is nice as everything is served in Wedgewood china crockery and cutlery. Well deserved the 5 ✨ for presentation, delivery and upkeep.

A very nice afternoon out visiting the museum, small restaurant and factory shop. The factory shop is well stocked with some good discounts on slight seconds. The museum is well worth a visit. Plenty of free parking. Even in winter the local countryside was beautiful.

If you're into wedgwood and like to learn how they are made, their history and be able to purchase wedgwood products then this is a good place for you to go. There is also afternoon tea and lunch menu available here. The store is probably the largest of its kind in the uk. It's a bit out of the way, because world of wedgwood is not situated near many other hubs of interests.

A magical place to visit and see the beautiful displays . Always lifts my spirits visiting here and who can resist a cream tea at the Wedgewood Cafe

Only let down by the cafe. The surly manager said we could only sit at tables with high stools as there were no free low tables, even though there were 40 minutes to closing and only 2 tables had customers sitting at them and the rest standing empty and set, presumably for the next day and they couldn't be bothered to seat us at one. My father is 87 with mobility issues. It was difficult and dangerous for him to get onto the stool. Drinks served in Wedgwood cups but that's about the sum of anything positive about the cafe. The museum is fabulous. The collection is vast and comprehensive and plenty of information about the history, process and details about each piece.

Booked a potter's wheel workshop as a treat for my Mum (in her 80s). She loved it. Such a laugh and the potters were lovely. Reception staff at WoW really helpful and knowledgeable. Fab day 💕

Visited six towns for their first opening. Still a little work to do with toilets but staff were lovely, cocktails delightful, nice vibe. Can imagine having a live band playing and people spilling out onto the courtyard opposite the visitor centre. It will be lovely in the summer too

Great afternoon with 6 yr old grandson who has additional needs. Special thanks to the girls in the creative clay department who were so patient and encouraging with him. Would recommend this even though I was a bit apprehensive beforehand.

Fascinating tribute to the artistry and craftsmanship of the famous Wedgwood pottery. This visitor center and museum offer a deep dive into the history and legacy of Josiah Wedgwood and his exquisite creations. You can tour the factory to see skilled artisans at work, demonstrating techniques passed down through generations. The museum showcases an impressive collection of Wedgwood pieces, ranging from the early days to contemporary designs. Interactive activities, like pottery making and design workshops, allow visitors to get hands-on. There’s also a fine dining tea room and a flagship store where you can purchase unique pieces. The World of Wedgwood is not just a tour; it’s an immersive experience into the world of British ceramics, combining history, art, and craftsmanship. Whether you’re a history buff, art enthusiast, or looking for a unique day out, it’s a captivating place that celebrates an iconic brand.

James was an excellent guide and one of the highly skilled producers (Jamie?) was very generous with his time explaining what he was doing. Overall, fascinating.

We went for afternoon tea and it was lovely. Soft delicious sandwiches, light fluffy scones with cream and jam and miniature delights of a variety of cakes including triple chocolate brownie, chewy Wedgwood blue macaroons plus lots more besides. There was a good selection of flavoured teas such as Earl Grey, English breakfast, ginger or fruit with unlimited refills included in the price served in and on beautiful crockery. There's a unique, quirky Potteries themed shop selling Potteries gins, bottle kiln framed scenes, Staffordshire knots in metal as coat hooks etc and plenty of beautiful greetings cards, they even sold dog biscuits fashioned as eclairs, doughnuts and muffins! The Wedgwood museum was wonderful and informative with some beautiful items on display, best of all admission was free. Thank you.

Great time touring the factory and seeing first hand all the work that had been put into the various things that they make. Seeing the detail and handiwork of the staff first-hand was brilliant. We also went into the factory shop which is well stocked with goods and products. The V and A exhibition hall was great. We had 'cream and scones' in the tea shop which was very good. However, my wife and I was disappointed that there seemed to be no where where you could buy a 'light snack' - such as a sandwich or small snack.

Ten out of ten. What an amazing place. We started with lunch in the restaurant which was delicious and very high end for every day prices. Next up the factory tour which was brilliant. Informative and really interesting. Finally we hit the potters wheels, having loads of fun. Everywhere was so well finished and really invested in bringing an enjoyable visit. 100%

Such a fabulous day at the World of Wedgwood for a Ceramics Experience and Afternoon Tea. It began with a welcome drink in the beautifully decorated restaurant, followed by a tour of the factory with our guide, Penny. She was very knowledgeable and introduced many of the staff by name. Later we enjoyed a delicious, fresh and tasty afternoon tea. Our waitress, Kirsty, had an admirable knowledge of the menu and the teas on offer! After a leisurely break it was up to the clay studio to have a go on potter's wheel, supervised by the very friendly and talented Sam, where we each made a couple of items that will be fired and sent on to us in a couple of weeks. We had a mooch around the shop stocked with items made by the talented folk of Staffordshire, and ended our day with a wander through the V&A ceramics display which was fascinating. All the staff that we spoke to were helpful, informed and eager to please. Highly recommended for a relaxing and fun day. Well done, World of Wedgwood, Josiah would be proud of you!

Although the tour was interesting, I was slightly disappointed that there wasn't more in the way of demonstrations. The afternoon tea was good ,but the bread could have been fresher and a couple of the fillings were tasteless scones were lovely as were the rest of cakes. But the pot of tea was excellent, with as much as you wanted (Wedgwood brew)

Fantastic service today. 3/9/21 I was looking for a specific vase I rang wedgwoods at Barlaston a really kind lady helped me her was named Julie. She even rang me back to say we have just what you’re looking for I was able to collect the vase the very same day as they had put one to one side for me When I got there another lovely lady named Angela said yes I have it right here. Both these ladies went above and beyond in my opinion. Customer service at its very best. Thank you so much. The vase will mean so much to the lady I bought it for. Well done Angela and Julie 💐💐 Well worth a visit

The World of Wedgwood is a beautiful place to visit. It’s lovely garden and woodland to look at outside. The museum of Wedgwood tells visitors the history of Wedgwood business, pottery and ceramics. Their flagship store offers all their brands of products. Everything is so well designed and decorated. We had some delicious tea and cakes in their Tea room. It’s a fantastic experience. The tableware used for serving was gorgeous. Cakes were freshly made. Staffs there were friendly. We would recommend everyone to visit this place.
