Do not recommend at all. The rooms were disgusting. Our first room absolutely stank of cigarette smoke despite it being a non smoking hotel. The lovely gentleman at reception did swap our room without hesitation and upgraded us however the second room wasn't much better and again smelled like stale smoke. We ordered room service which was pretty basic however they forgot our drinks and another item that we were assured would be brought up (im still waiting). The TV didn't work and then to top it all off the fire alarm went off at 7:15 in the morning while I was in the shower. I will say the breakfast was decent and when we complained at check out the manager was very apologetic about our experience. We had only booked here out of convenience due to its location and had I not been facing a 4 hour drive home after an already long day I wouldn't have stayed. I'll never stay in a Holiday Inn again. I feel sorry for the staff as they were all so helpful and I can guarantee we probably aren't the only complaint they dealt with.

We've just held our wedding reception there and can honestly as 3 years of waiting it was well worth it. Food was amazing, room clean and comfortable. But most of all our wedding coordinator Martha was fantastic, she went above and beyond her role and mainly on her own even to the point of sourcing out a DJ and other bits, she's a massive asset to the hotel would recommend any day. Thank you for making our day so special Fay & Jay

Stayed for 2 nights with family. The room is not big enough for 2 adults and 2 children the keys needs to be reactivated everyday. The safe is not working and the shower is quite weak. Otherwise the staff were pleasant. The first night we dined at the restaurant downstairs but because they were accommodating a football team, we had to wait for 45mins for our food to be served. The manager was kind enough to give us a discount for the dinner.

Easily accessible from the motorway. The room was freezing but the very helpful receptionist, helped us out with a heater. The food was delicious but unfortunately, the staff were rushed off their feet. This is not a criticism of the staff as they were excellent and lovely, this is an issue of management. Employ more people Holiday Inn !

Avoid at all cost ! On the first night our room was so cold because the heating didn't work and the radiator didn't have any valves or controls fitted to it, my wife has to get dressed and go down to the reception to complain because the phone in the room wasn't plugged in and there didn't appear to be anywhere to even plug it in. An oil filled radiator was brought up to the room which had 2 wheels missing and had to rest lop sided on the floor. The lighting in the room was very dim and a free standing lamp didn't work. The following morning i had a cold shower, as there wasn't any hot water. On our second morning, we went down for breakfast at 9.40am but couldn't find anywhere to sit as none of the tables had been cleared or cleaned, there was no cooked food left, no bread for toast and not a drop of milk anywhere to be found. After finding a member of staff to complain to, milk was eventually brought out but my tea was cold. More food slowly began to be brought out but the staff clearly couldn't cater for the guests staying there. WNe were looking to extend our stay for another night but decided to book into a Travelodge instead which turns out much better for less than half the price. When checking out we told the receptionist we weren't happy with our stay and he said he would get the manager to call us to discuss it, but of course nobody has bothered to contact us and i doubt they ever will as they've already had the money.

The hotel was well situated for our plans; very near to the motorway junction (some traffic noise audible) but convenient to access local destinations. Although rather dated and in need of some TLC, the hotel is clean and well situated. The food was underwhelming but not unpleasant. The staff definitely deserve recognition; they were universally courteous, helpful and charming in all departments of the hotel. For that reason, I would happily return

It was so nice and welcoming as soon as we arrived. Staff went over and above to make sure we had everything we needed. Great kids area for all different ages with lots to do for toddlers. Bar area welcoming. Great breakfast with loads of choice.. very clean environment I can not reiterate enough how great all the staff were throughout our stay. We will definitely use again. Pool was so nice to use after breakfast to finish off our stay here. The staff were all of smart appearance. It was very busy but enough staff to make sure everyone had the high standard of service. Great location as so near M6.

Reception and bar staff are attentive and professional in all their dealings with the public. There pleasant and helpful manner is a credit to the Hotel. I would particularly like to give a mention to Samir on reception as his help was recently invaluable. He went above and beyond in his service to the customer.

I checked in middle of the night, after a few hundred miles and delays on the motorway. My eyes were going and I knew I needed to stop and sleep. Outstanding customer service, checking in. I was delirious and it was quick and no frills (exactly what I needed). Room was discounted and I was offered food / drinks on arrival. I was reminded to put my car reg in to prevent a fine as I hadn't (great observation staff) and this morning I was given a complimentary coffee. Honestly felt so well taken care of, woke up feeling refreshed and ready to continue on my way home. Only thing I'd have improved is other inconsiderate guests letting children shout and run up the corridors at silly AM this morning but this is no fault of the hotel.

We stayed there for 2 nights and didn't see any negatives written here. Room was nice and clean, breakfast was amazing(even gluten free area), pool and the fitness was maintained well. Got what we paid for. Crew at the desk was kind.

Stayed here last night 24/02/23. A very warm welcome from reception as we arrived. A drink offered as they upgraded our room to better suit our stay! The staff behind the bar joked with my daughter and made her feel at ease. Later, water and a treat were delivered to our door. Rooms were clean, warm and very tidy. The bathroom was clean as well. The food was nice and we didn't have to wait to long for room service. On our departure we were given a packed lunch as we were leaving for a competition before breakfast was served. All in all, yes I would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay, it was busy due to half term break but we were still able to get a table for dinner and breakfast. The pool is a bonus but be warned, you need to book a slot in advance. Breakfast was good, busy, but there were plenty of staff to replenish supplies. We enjoyed our overnight stay and would return.

Unfortunately this was a faulty towers experience. I fed back to the hotel & they have not responded. Hence negative review. Main issues were health & safety especially for the £100+ cost for one bad nights sleep. On a positive, the location was very good as just off the motorway.

On arrival the systems were down..one master key for the whole place with a member of reception taking the queuing guests to their rooms. When we got to our room, initially we were a bit annoyed as no sofa bed had been made up and no extra sheets or blankets left. The bedside lights had no bulbs and the room seemed a bit dirty the more we looked around the more ill we felt. What looked like sick down the base of the bad, wine stains all over the curtains, something splattered all across the ceiling. Bed base also ripped. We asked for a room swap but couldn't get one as no availability. Disgruntled guests everywhere ordering food on because the staff and restaurant menu was so poor. At dinner we had to clear and clean our table before we sat down. Then the when ordering had to be on a keypad. No options at all. It wasn't late and it seemed they had ran out of several menu items..even though no one was eating in restaurant. Aft er the dinner fiasco we again had to wait for another half hour or so before we could get escorted back to our room. The air con was not working the bathroom was grubby and all in all it was unpleasant experience. We were due to stay another night but checked out a day early and went elsewhere. Will not be back!

1st impression was it looked old however the inside was nice. Huge hotel many rooms but no elevator and no dedicated assistance but they got my lugge to room. Plenty of parking and some outside play area (kind of) for kids. Room seemed clean but had to call for toilet to be cleaned. No no. This was attended to within 3mins though. Needed extra toiletry and they did well to provide (thank you Abs!) room was big and beds comfy. Everything you need was available and location was less than 5mins from the M6 Toll highway so I will be staying again if needed. BUT. Going to Alton towers from there is btwn 35 to 45mins journey, so no I wouldn't stay there for AT again, better to stay inside AT itself to avoid journeying on the narrow roads leading to the theme park.

Avoid avoid avoid . Every Tuesday night at 22:34 fire alarm goes off. Breakfast is meant to start at 06:30 but never on time. More like 07:00 which doesn't help when you need to leave for work. Cleaners coming into your room, when you have do not disturb sign on. I was previously staying at the holiday Inn express stoke for a few months and was told this was opening back up to the public and was a really nice hotel. But by far the worst I've ever stayed in.

Hope that this hotel is not the best holiday inn have .. don’t think we will be booking holiday inn again it’s a very very low budget hotel key cards never work, we stayed 2nights staff are very nice and helpful , bathroom very very small.. breakfast Saturday morning we was meet by a young lady doing front of house taking names and room numbers very polite but the first thing we noticed was her uniform was not ironed totally creased up do you not have a mirror in staff room to check you look professional and appropriate for your job very bad first impression of the place , but it was not a one off she was in the breakfast room this morning just the some …. Hot food was cold or lukewarm not a very relaxing place to eat every time staff went in the kitchen and returned the outer door banged every single time you need to put a stopper or a silencer on the door so it doesn’t bag so badly

We stayed in this hotel for 4nights. And I must say the staff are very pleasant and friendly in particular prasad at front desk he was very helpful. The breakfast was nice pretty much the same every morning. Our room was too small for 3 adults and 1 child. The shower was pathetic and hotel and rooms need a touch of paint. The jacuzzi was not functional when we got there. It was a nuisance to keep re activating our room key everyday but apart from all that it was overall a good hotel.

Very nice and courteous staff, especially Carly, who was professional and we really enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant. The dishes were amazing, especially the Thai vegetable curry! With regards to the room, it was okay for a family of four. Bathroom was clean. Decent WiFi speed. Breakfast was really good too.

The building itself can do with a tidy up and they did say they were short staffed. Given the stress that the staff were under (one staff member looked like she was doing everything!) they were very friendly and the tables etc all looked extremely clean. There is a gym for everyone including a pool. The area is gorgeous and very close to m6 , perfect for meeting up for affairs (a girl I knew did this with a chap from Manchester) x
