Springpool Wood is a new name for me, when I was an undergraduate, they were simply called "the lakes." It's a really pleasant little area that leads down from Keele Hall. Lots of trees, birds and flowers. There are some very nice views of Keele Hall across the lakes.

Coming to the forest, you find yourself in a certain kingdom full of mysteries and secrets. There is a special atmosphere in the old forest. Centuries-old spruces, pines, like guardians, keep order. Life there follows its own laws, and no one is allowed to violate this order. Walking in the forest sometimes it seems that someone is watching you. Beautiful pond, what you need for a walk after class

Peaceful setting about half a mile from Keele Hall carpark. Largeish pool with lots of dead trees in there but plenty of wildlife thriving. This is proper wild fishing as it's not a commercial fishery. You do need to have a licence and permission to fish here...

Beautiful woodland that has peaceful woods to popular grass areas. Attached to Keele Hall as part of Keele University. Clean and has a variety of paths, tress, plants and wildlife.

5th star would be for parking. But to be fair it wasn't that expensive. Just a bit hard to find where we could park, satnav took me to a residential area, but parking in the student union area worked out.
