First visit having meaning to go for ages! Love what they've done with the place, very modern, stylish and sophisticated. Roomy bar area with food selection of drinks and cocktails. Decent choice of food on the menu and very good size portions as well! My beef brisket was superb. We visited early evening on a Friday and there was still quite good crowd in when we arrived, only to increase further by the time we were leaving. Service was good and the waiter was good at recommending the cocktails etc (cannot remember his name, however). Would definitely visit again.

The staff are so friendly and accommodating. We had 2 servers, Mike and Reece and they were very attentive, made sure we had water on the table and that we were enjoying our food etc. The food is amazing, cooked to perfection. The range of drinks is very good too so everyone could find something they like. The price of everything is very reasonable although we spent a little more than an average night out because it was our wedding anniversary. Definitely recommend!

I’ve been here 2 times now and in both of them felt very disappointed. The first time was about 6/7 months ago, me and my partner went for lunch on a Sunday. It was a bit busy but not crazy. I had a vegan burger and my partner the vegan curry – the curry was very cold, which to me it says that the food isn’t fresh or worse, that they buy packages and microwave it. The Burger was okay but it didn’t had much sauce and the chips were very small, about a 1 and 2 cm size, never saw chips that small being served. Second time was last Monday, I had the burger again and my partner the Sea Bass. She said the Sea Bass was okay, however the chips were served with very small pieces again. I did pointed out to one of the waitresses and her response was that’s a mix and match, I’ve pointed out that I’ve never heard of chips being this small – I was offered a free desert. Coffee was horrible and served with cold milk, disgusting! In a good point, the environment and deco as a good fell about it but that’s no excuse for the low standards and the height price. Will not be going back and do not recommend The Milehouse to anyone. I also found a bit expensive considering the food quality, lack of service and staff experience.

Awful experience. Raw lamb, staff didn’t ask us if we wanted drinks once, didn’t ask if everything was ok with the meal. We had to always try and get their attention and it wasn’t even busy. We then got kicked out of the dining area before 11 so they could mop and the woman in charge told us she was going out which obviously meant she wanted to close up because when we got to the bar area, we were passed our bill and told the tills were going off so we weren’t able to order anymore drinks. Not long after, we were asked to leave when they didn’t close until 12am. Joke. Don’t advertise you are open until 12 if you want everyone gone by 11:30. To top it off, they didn’t have some syrups for the cocktails which meant they couldn’t do any drink from the menu. Woman in charge was so unprofessional. This was my second time going, first time I had food poisoning from the chicken and second time the lamb was raw. Won’t be visiting again or recommending to anyone.

The prawn cocktail was disgusting, why try to change a Marie Rose sauce, it’s delicious the way it is?! And the lettuce it looked and tasted like a massive bunch of crispy weeds. Yuck! Then I ordered pork belly (£17 so expected something great) and they served me a tiny slice of meet with really cheap broccoli and smash! Yes powdered mash that you get in prisons and care homes! Shocked in an upmarket restaurant to be served that! I will not be returning again!!

We went for a friends birthday meal. What a disappointment. The staff were inattentive - we sat for 10 minutes before I had to go over to the bar to get someone to take our drink order. I know some pubs now go for the relaxed feel but our table waitress was that laid back it was embarrassing. She didn’t look professional in her demeanour or chat! The prices of the food were far too high for the area which the pub is situated and the portions were meagre. The baked Camembert which cost £7.95 was two pathetic little things with a pile of lettuce. One wasn’t even soft in the middle. My cottage pie on the other hand was delicious, red hot and even though I had to ask for my fries I was happy with it. A mixed grill at £39.99 from the specials board was ridiculous! We did complain, avoided the deserts menu priced again too high and left no tip as they didn’t deserve it. We won’t be going again.

We didn't book till very late on for a 5.30 sitting. We were asked if it was a special occasion. My Grandaughter said it was her doll's (Sandy) Birthday ( she had wrapped presents up for her ). We were delighted when the waitress brought a Birthday card over for Sandy and two mocktails for our Grandchildren. They were absolutely over the moon..lovely meal and experience. Thank you

The service was good with friendly, attentive staff but sadly the restaurant smells of hot oil and my dinner was nasty. I had gammon eggs and chips, all oddly flavourless. The gammon was dry and stringy, the eggs were undercooked and the chips were greasy. I asked for ketchup which I didn't eat as it was transparent and tasteless. No salt in salt pot. My partner had lamb kofta which was dry and overcooked. At £50 for two with water, one coffee and one dessert it was overpriced and not good enough. Not at all. I shan't be back.

Lunch with friend. Had cod loin. Tasted nice but portion miniscule. The few potatoes I had were hard and inedible. Bar servive very good and overall good visit but servers need to take complaints seriously rather than 'I'll tell the chef'

Joseph & The Milehouse team were just amazing. There were 17 of us in the group, we were given a private room, pre orders were sent in & were cooked beautifully & to order. The staff were extremely friendly, polite, professional Inc staff behind the bar, & Joseph ensured throughout our visit that we were accomodated for. Just a lovely experience.

Just called in on the off chance for a bit of lunch. We were greeted by a young lady who guided us to our table of choice, menus in hand I scoured it from front to back and their choice of meals were astonishing. My wife had crispy beef salad and I had the double patty cheese and bacon burger with a side of fries, and all I can say was we were not disappointed at all, truly amazing food and in such lovely decor, I tip my hat to the waitress and to the chefs. 10/10

I cannot remember the name of the gent who was front of house, but he was amazing, polite and attentive. Top class service from a lovely waitress and they even very kindly gave us a drink of champagne on the house as it was our anniversary. The food was outstanding. Will definitely book again thank you so much guys.

Really nice food and service on the last few visits. Situated on the A34, so access is great but not a venue for eating all fresco. Music is perhaps a tad loud, but if not too busy then there are quieter places to sit. Steaks are nice, special large cuts are expensive but worth the price.

Robyn & Sophia looked after us today at The Milehouse and we had an amazing experience. Robyn was quick to ask whether we were visiting for any special occasion and we were offered half a pint on the house for my partner’s 40th birthday, shortly followed by a birthday card! Almost every member of staff we looked/smiled at said ‘hello’ or ‘how are you’. The entire restaurant, bar and kitchen staff were friendly, polite and attentive. The drinks came quickly, the food even quicker, and for 12.95 for two courses at lunchtime… you can’t go wrong. The food was outstanding. We were full from our starters, there was that much to go around! Robyn was knowledgeable about the specials on offer and all of the team made sure we were happy throughout, without interrupting too often. We will be coming back as soon as we can. Well done to them all especially in these crazy temperatures.

3 stars for food and 5 stars for service. Ordered a medium rare steak and it was closer to medium well-done. Cheesecake was not delicious in the slightest, and so was key lime pie. Out of all dishes I mostly enjoyed garlic break However having said that about food, I have to point out amazing service. Very polite staff, always tops up water, no waiting around at all

Went there as a birthday treat with my grandson and his partner. The food was well cooked and presented but nothing special considering the price. The restaurant is very well decorated and pleasant but spoilt by the loud music blaring out. I am all for background music but having to shout to hold a conversation is not my idea of fun, even struggled to hear the waitress. Sorry I can't recommend this restaurant.

Amazing place, really friendly staff who greet you when you enter, and say goodbye when you leave. Great service from start to finish. The staff all seem really happy to be there, and it reflects with their service. Strongly recommend getting food at the bar, the portions are great and the food is amazing. Drink prices are about what you'd expect for a pub so really impressed.

Extremely kind to us in hosting an impromptu wake. Lovely venue with excellent, caring staff. A special thank you to Darcy, Shane and Emily for making an otherwise sad day so pleasantly memorable. Will definitely not hesitate to come back for lunch in happier times

Was taken here for my 70th birthday and could find no fault. Service was 1st class, thank you Shane, Charlie and Darcey. Very professional and friendly. I was even given a free drink and a birthday card, a lovely touch. Food absolutely gorgeous . Presented really well. My first visit but I will definitely go vacation and would recommend

Had a great Saturday night out with friends. Met in the Bar where Darcey with her expertise and wonderful personality prepared our fabulous drinks. We were then taken to our table where Shane and Kaitlyn did their jobs fantastically. The decor was amazing and the food did not disappoint, beautifully presented and amazing tastes. Would definitely recommend it all the staff were so attentive and friendly, lovely atmosphere. We will be going again 👍

Lovely restaurant and good service. Really lovely atmosphere. Good food and drinks, although cocktails are quite expensive!

The starters were lovely! We ordered 3 x steaks 1 x gammon for our mains My husband ordered a rib eye steak but it was questionable as more like a rump? There was lots of fat and grizzle on the steaks and they lacked flavour without any sauce. We were never asked if our main meals were ok. Never offered the deserts menu. Lack of attentiveness tbh. All this and the final bill wasn't cheap.

Really nice restaurant for a special occasion. We were seated promptly and despite being warned there may be a delay as they had had a issue in the kitchen all our starters and main meals came out super quick and were absolutely delicious. Seemed to get forgotten about between asking for the dessert menu and placing an order but the puddings were absolutely worth the wait. Might be slightly on the pricey side but if we had had perfect service I wouldn’t complain.

Lovely foods menu, we been here twice already. Not many selection of wines menu but have a nice cocktails list. Overall, nice place for dinner and beautiful venue.

It was quiet when we booked at 3.00pm. The soup was very spicy so I didn't eat it but the turkey dinner was nice. The waitress couldn't work out the bill so I had to do it. Someone else in my party had a steak sandwich ordered well done but it was pink in the middle

The restaurant is clean and furnished well. The tables were clean and well presented. My only issue was that our two tables wobbled and we had to keep our feet on the legs to stop them from rocking and spilling the drinks. The staff were friendly and we're on hand when we needed them. The food was divine. We shared our meals with one another and all agreed that the pork was incredible. The portion sizes were ok. They left you with enough room for a pudding afterwards, for better or worse. Maybe a little extra sides would have been better given the price. Either way, this made for a lovely evening meal with friends if you fancy a one-off fine dining experience.

Service and cocktails were brilliant. The steak was cooked well, and the side sauce was excellent. The sides unfortunately weren't up to the same standard! The fries were a bit soggy and the veg a bit over cooked. It Would have been 5 stars if they weren't 😊

My steak was cooked to perfection. Loved the cocktails and the surroundings. Service was excellent. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because they ran out of baileys. I will certainly be returning 😊

We booked a table for 3 on the 25th, for a birthday celebration as we had previously heard great things about the restaurant so were very excited to experience it. The waitress was very lovely at the start, however throughout our meal we were never checked on and the food wasn’t the best. We had empty drinks, from not long after our mains came out and overall the service was very minimal from that point. This may have been due to a few larger tables coming in during our meal, and us being seated in a different section. Overall the experience was ok but could have been a lot better.

Beautiful restaurant, feels super luxurious. Food quality is brilliant, I had a filet steak which was served beautifully and not a bad price either. The service was very warm and welcoming too, looking forward to coming back again.

Wonderful experience, all the food is worth it for the price, Alisha was our waitress she was very polite and made sure we had everything we needed. Really fast service. I had the deep fried Camembert for starter which was delicious and the ribeye steak for main with the port and Stilton sauce, it melted like butter absolutely delicious would recommend.

Visited the milehouse for the first time since it's been refurbished 1st April 2023 and we were not disappointed. We went for my husband's retirement meal and we were in a party of 12 The atmosphere and ambience were beautiful. Staff were very welcoming, our wait on staff Deborah and Alex we're brilliant and couldn't do enough for us. We had a 5 and a 7 year old in our party and they were accommodated for beautifully The drinks flowed all night the food bought out was piping hot and on time no waiting for guests meals Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience there and we will definitely go again It's a must to visit You won't be disappointed

Mike and Chloe were amazing! Honestly the best night of my life! The calibre of staff here is incredible. I will definitely be returning again thanks to their hospitality. The food was on par with a Michelin star restaurant! The cocktails went down a great also!

Visited today with the family. Food was nice, highly recommend the pie (though the pea and carrot veg side could be more adventurous, I’m thinking green veg medley!) Mum and friend enjoyed their duck special too. Great service though, Mike and his colleague who served us were excellent, that nice balance of professionalism but very friendly and personable hit the spot. Decent pint of brewdog too.

For a first experience fantastic 👏. The food was excellent and service was first class. Had the gammon meal and it was the best I've ever had. The staff were brilliant and very understanding. I'm coming back again definitely. Thanks for a great experience and it was actually a special evening as it was my girlfriend and I celebrating 16 months together so thanks for a great time.
