Used to be a such a lovely pub But since the new managers have recently taken over, things have changed a lot dramatically, nobody’s is welcomed anyone including myself doing nothing wrong, the beer is not the best and over priced, toilets are disgusting need a good deep clean. Not a warming welcome like other pubs around castle. If there was a 0 start option or a minus that would be my option.

Absolutely atrocious pub with insecure and immature management who bar people for no reason whatsoever. How the management are allowed to run a licenced premises is beyond fathomable. The pubs are empty and only attract a negative crowd and once they have decent clientele they bar them. AVOID AT ALL COSTS YOULL ONLY GET BARRED FOR BREATHING IN THE WRONG DIRECTION!!

Great food and great atmosphere. Went midday and had the southern fried chicken burger with chips and other had the all day breakfast. Average prices and quality food. Whilst finishing our meal they held a bingo event, good add on. Great Meal.

Good prices. Great staff and bouncers. Went in with few girls after xmas meal. Highly recommend visit.

We don't drink any more so we don't use the place any more .but as far as the pub it self goes . I met my lovely wife in there & all my friends still use the place . It's a real man's pub. The main pub of the town at one time . But now it's just a good pub to be in.

If i could give it a minus review i would. Not the pub but the managers simon and natalie. They have no people skills whatsoever and bar people like myself who has done nothing but help them during lockdown. I had done nothing wrong like everyone else they have barred around town. They are destroying 3 local pubs whilst running them. No wonder their pubs around newcastle are empty they wasnt before they took them over. Managers are meant to be welcoming and to make customers want to come back. They would benefit from learning people skills and to smile. Not good when nat saw my lives on fb and rang both pubs asking them to bar me i was on kareoke and not causing any trouble, yes my singing is bad but the pubs were already empty before i got up

I absolutely love the management team and bar staff amazing environment and great atmosphere si and nat are amazing they interact with customers and are friendly people couldn't ask for better management

A nice little pub with very loud music. The beer is good and very competitively priced, they even offer CAMRA discount of 10% - the only pub in the area that I've found which does. They sometimes have food menus out, however I've never seen anybody eating.

Definitely the best pub in castle. Cheap drinks. Good ale. Staff are nice and polite. Nice place to stop by on the strip.

Lovely clean pub, with excellent beer. A few entertainment nights across the week. Well worth the visit.
