    Lovely! The trails are well maintained, the signage along the way is very clear… went on the sawmill trail to the Sulphur Spring Train Station, it was mostly shady which was great on a hot day. There’s a fee if you come in by car or on a horse but free for pedestrians and bikes.

    I would rate this lovely park 5 stars, but for ONE MAJOR POINT: DANGEROUSLY SELF-ENTITLED BICYCLE CYCLISTS. For most horse riders, it becomes extremely dangerous. I know of one horse who was sadly put down after a cyclist came barreling over a wooden walkway at the bottom of a hill, spooking the horse and resulting in the horse falling into the river, sustaining internal injuries and subsequently DYING. 😢😭💔🐎🐴💫 The saddest part, is that the cyclist didn't even slow down after the accident, nor did they look back. Authorities never found out who the person was, who was responsible for that horse's painful fate. The person who carelessly, shamelessly, didn't slow down, and never looked back. CYCLISTS, you can do better. PLEASE SLOW DOWN NEAR HORSES. 🙏❤🐴🐎 Make way for others, and share the trail. This is not a bicycle park--careening down hills may thrill, but it can also kill a horse. Fellow pedestrians, we must not contribute to the problem by giving right-of-way to the cyclists. It is the CYCLISTS who are now so self-absorbed in their own fun, that they now EXPECT walkers and horses to make way for them as they jet down the conservation area's many, many hills. Horses have the right-of-way ✅ above walkers, with walkers above cyclists. In practice, however, it looks to be the complete opposite. Cyclists barrel through, walking people make way, and then horses are made to wait even longer for their own safety. SAFETY IS EVERYONE'S RESPONSIBILITY! That said, let's all enjoy the richness that this gorgeous land has to offer! Endless trails, loops, streams, hills and valleys, deer trails, coyote, phenomenal variety of birds including wild turkey, vultures, swallows, jays, woodpeckers, hawks and the very occasional owl. Bunnies, chipmunks, and squirrels, galore! This gem-of-a-greenspace where Dundas-meets-Ancaster and Greenbelt-meets-Conservation Authority does not disappoint! ❤ (...except where horses n cyclists are concerned 😥💔)

    Great place for hiking! The trails are well marked, with a lot of interesting sites along the way. The terrain changes (uphills/downhills) and the streams also add interest to the hike. I only did the Main Loop during my first visit, which took just over an hour round-trip from the main parking area, and I would love to come back during the summer for longer hikes! It is also great that the ruins have been preserved and reconstructed. They're beautiful as they stand now. P.S. There are some very neat small waterfalls in the vicinity. I had previously visited Sherman Falls and Tiffany Falls, both of which are quite beautiful and easily accessible by car from other roads near the park.

    Fantastic park with various difficulty in the trails. Not much "wow" scenery but still worth going 100% for a lengthy walk or a short one!

    What a great trail! It was our first tome visiting, and we really enjoyed our hike. We did the main trail, and it took us around an hour. The scenery was great and had variety. The only fee was also a day pass per vehicle, $11, worth it!

    Absolutely the best! The trails are well marked and easy to follow. Each trail has a variety of tree coverage, streams, hills and flat surfaces. There are plenty of benches to rest on, particularly in the scenic areas or at the top of a steep climb. I drive 45 minutes almost daily to enjoy this beautiful piece of paradise. I noticed people complaining about the $11 parking but it is a small amount to pay for so much activity! Even the old train station and train car were fun to explore! You can ride your bike on the trails, ride your horse on the trail or just take your dog on a short or long walk. This is my favourite place to spend a few hours. Highly recommended!

    Beautiful conservation area with lots of trails. We did the main loop and the Griffin house with 2 light weight strollers. The uphill was difficult to push the strollers up but doable. We made it throughout the hike with the strollers and there were other parents too with strollers. Definitely kids friendly and lots of view points to stop and take pictures. The entry fee is lower than other conservation areas As well. Highly recommended.

    Dundas Valley conservation is hikers and nature lover's paradise. The only drawback is the outdated parking ticket machine, which only accepts physical credit cards and lacks digital payment options, making it a bit inconvenient. Nevertheless, the natural beauty and hiking opportunities are truly exceptional.

    One of my favorites hiking places in Hamilton! There are many options for hiking, short loops and longer trails, amazing views and you can find restrooms along the trails.

    Visited with family including my 3 years old twins to see falls colours. This place is very good and serene. Loved the atmosphere and natural beauty. We followed the mail circular trail but could not finish it. Must recommend place if you love calm and natural beauty. Try to go in the morning as you need 1-2 hours to complete the trail. Don't forgot to take stroller if you are going with kids. Dundas Peak is little long walk so be ready for adventure. Planning to go back in summer.

    This is a great place for a hike. The trails are always nice, and most everyone is friendly. Make sure you have cleats in the winter - the hills get very icey.

    Tip: The Main Loop trail offers a variety of things to see and is only 3km long, so good for a first experience, then come back and repeat on other side trails. >. }

    A very large place for hiking and sight seeing. Ruins and falls are great for photos. Plan your travel ahead and come earlier because it takes quite a long time to walk. Parking was $11 per vehicle.

    Trails are generally busy, including mountain bikes, but people tend to be courteous and friendly. Some of the most tranquil and gorgeous Carolinian forest hiking in the area, with a few waterfall highlights. There are multiple trails in the system, centered on an old railway station (used as a location in Murdoch Mysteries). Too much to see in one day - suggest planning ahead based on your available time or, better yet, supporting the conservation authority by purchasing a membership!
