This museum is clean and exceptionally curated. It took us roughly 2 hours to view all of the exhibits which ranged from the American Revolution to the War on Terror.

The place looks small on the outside but be prepared to do alot of walking but well worth it. The gentleman at the window was polite and gave us a map of what we would be looking at. This museum is full of everything and close ups of military equipment.

Very thorough treatment of all of America's wars. Great artifacts and displays. Lightning is a bit dim, and the display cases could use some updating.

Nice little war museum. Funny enough when I visited I was told photos were not allowed inside. I guess that had changed.

The inside of the museum is not large but the displays are well arranged and packed with stuff.. If you like historical firearms they have plenty of them. Lots of uniforms, helmets , gear from US, allies and enemies. Easy to spend about 2hrs or more. The park grounds have more large guns to see.

Outstanding location. As a historian and huge history buff this museum has so many different artifacts. The variety of things from every era of War and on the homefront is astounding. I have been to many museums but this one has so many unique and different pieces. Highly recommended and will be back again.

Very cool meseum! I would say the tanks and guns etc. outside are way more interesting than the inside. The kids love this place! Family friendly although you occasionally have some shady people walking around the park.

I went here to check out this war museum after doing some stuff in Yorktown. I am very impressed with all the displays and equipment they have. Everything from the Revolunary war to the war on terror. Lots of world war two items from the axis powers. It appears very little on the civil war confederate side though. They have lots of heavy war equipment and a great many uniforms to include General Westmoreland's Vietnam shirt. The cost is 6.00 to 10.00. They are open wednesdat through the weekend.

Don't miss this gem! Just like the name says, it's all about American wars While it may not look too impressive on the outside, they make amazing use of the room and you can easily spend hours there. The exhibits and artifacts are Smithsonian quality. Many have been donated by veterans and several are very famous people. It's a little off the beaten path, but do yourself a favor and make the time to visit. You won't be disappointed

Stopped on our way home from Norfolk, VA. Took a lot of pictures but not one of them would do any justice. For anyone in VA or passing through, I highly recommend a visit!

It was an interesting museum that has guns, war machines and clothes from each period of history. Outside they have lot of machines around the building and across the street

Wow what a hidden gem! If you've ever Served -Active, Guard, or Reserve- this is worth a couple hours and $8 admission. Docents have amazing context and background on every piece if you ask. External displays too; plus huge family-friendly playground next door. Will be back!

Well organized, includes some very rare historic items. The outdoor displays, mainly artillery of the Cold War Era, are well maintained, could use a little more signage. Five stars.

I was pleasantly surprised how much they had in the museum and even outside. They even have exhibits in the bathrooms. I took my two boys and they enjoyed it as well. The staff was very friendly.

My first-ever visit on this Memorial Day was fascinating for 3 generations: me, my daughter and my 4-year-old grandson. An amazing array of vehicles, documents, uniforms and every kind of weapon ever deployed, including muskets, long guns, bayonets, cannons and hundreds of others.

Ive always enjoyed these smaller museums. At times they generally have more unique items and stories based on their location that you wouldn't find at larger museums.
