It's been about 11 years since we've been here. We stopped in today and everything was wonderful! Don't remember the food being so good! They've definitely stepped it up a notch since our last visit. The spatzle, giant pretzel, kraut, bratwurst were delicious. Only thing that would make it perfect is authentic veal schnitzel.

Our time here was so great! We were immediately greeted and sat! I have never been to a German restaurant before and I enjoyed the culture! There was live music with audience participation! The food was delicious and I loved looking at the decor in the restaurant. We ordered the large pretzel as our appetizer, and I have uploaded pictures of our entrées. 10/10!

While the menu has been scaled back, the favorites are still there. We were celebrating an event and the food and friendly service were outstanding. We started with the Giant Pretzel Combo, which was excellent - and huge. Our entrees were the Bavarian Jägerschnitzel and Brewer’s Cobb Salad. All outstanding and generous in proportions. It gets loud and sometimes boisterous when the live music is playing, so opt for the outdoor area or side room if you prefer a quieter experience. Excellent dining experience if you enjoy traditional German fare.

Follow me to see what's next! Well, that was disappointing. I have eaten in a LOT of German restaurants around the country. This one was the most disappointing! The food just wasn't good at all. Two of my dining companions didn't even eat their food. One bite and they were done. It was a very expensive bill for food we didn't really eat. 2⭐ only because our server was nice and knowledgeable. We told her we didn't like the food and she offered to sell us more 😆 ⬇️ If this was helpful, hit the 👍

Great restaurant!!! Quality is amazing, staff friendly and prompt. Beer choices very good and the food is authentic. Better than my Grandmother!! This is our 4th visit in 4 years and look forward to the next. We ordered 2 extra entrees to go for dinner tonight!!

Deal deal authentic German restaurant here... Very friendly service throughout the experience.... The food 1000% legit, pretzels with the beer cheese dip and the other dipping options were right on point.... The sausages are top 3 I've ever had in my life, GREAT JOB OWNERS AND MANAGEMENT!!! Sauerkraut , schnitzel, red cabbage and everything else just as good as it gets.... Yes we'll be back and I strongly suggest hitting this spot up

German "corporate food" in a casual setting. I'll start with the good - the service was exceptional. The young lady who served us made a clear effort to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. Well done. It was Saturday evening, and there was a small band playing in the main dining area. Some would say lively and joyful, others would say "way too loud for dinner time". We opted to sit outside, where the sitting is not very comfortable. The menu is the classic take on what is perceived in the U.S. as German cuisine. Which would have been fine, if the execution in the kitchen was better. Overall, it tasted like a catering service, not a cooked to order meal. The wursts must have been brought from the outside (and were over salted), the potato pancake probably came in frozen, the schnitzel was plain, the cake tasted like a Sysco cake, and so on... For a casual meal it was fine, I suppose. Only too bad that Americans think that German cooking tastes like this.

Absolutely awesome place!!! Great German food and great German beer. Live music by a German style band. Word of advice, get a reservation, they get very busy on weekends.

One of our favorites! Sometimes we make the he and a half drive up just to eat, drink, and enjoy the atmosphere. It’s just as much fun for our kids as it is us. Dancing to the chicken dance while standing in their seat is a must!

Very German restaurant, complete with seat yourself anywhere tables. Food was delicious and filling. The pretzels were warm, chewy and delicious. Large portions, fun atmosphere, and good beer! Open late.

Went for a late lunch today...we both decided to try the fish sandwich w/coleslaw & fries - absolutely delicious!! This was the crispiest, best tasting fish I have enjoyed in years!!! Then the dessert....I admit I'm a bit sorry I offered to split it, cause I ended up wishing I had it all to myself! Wonderful from start to finish, great atmosphere, awesome service!

Unique atmosphere! Incredible German food and music. Always great service, too! My daughter had the Wurst plate, my husband loved the Munich sampler and I enjoyed the market salad. Loved the pretzels and bier cheese too!

The food was good (not great). The service was definitely lacking as well. After we ordered the appetizer we didn't see our server for 15 minutes. When she returned she said "can I get yall anything else". We looked at each other and said my husband said "Yes, we would like to order". Overall, not the best food or experience. After we ordered we didn’t get our food for quite some time. I will say that they were busy but overall not a great experience.

We had an excellent experience, when I say experience I mean it's unlike any restaurant we have been to. They had a musician playing folk music from Germany and USA that put everyone in a great mood. Yes we had had the huge mugs of beer that didn't disappoint. We had the Bauern Schnitzel and Bavarian Jägerschnitzel both were awesome with sides of German potato salad and cabbage, everything was fresh. If you are in the area we would definitely recommend this restaurant. Will be back to try other dishes.

I noticed this place is pretty popular. Today we tried it out. The best thing to us was the burger and fries. The traditional German foods were unique those tongues of liking. Reason of the rating not sure if the waitress was new or lacked interest. She kept getting orders wrong and eventually she came around and began to get some things correct or corrected.

I loved the ambiance, felt like I was in Germany. Beer was great too. However, food was not good. I didn't like the chicken Sandwich, and the black forrest cake was not great either. And the pretzel was way to salty.

We had lunch at the Hofbrauhaus today for the first time. Being that we are both from different states (Michigan and Tennessee), we thought it was weird that we had to pay $5 to park to eat at the restaurant. We sat out in the biergarten and waited for a very long time for service. If I hate anything, I hate watching a big party of people come in after us and get served before us - even though we waited longer. Finally, I asked a busboy who our server was and he said back, “Who is your server?” I said that is what I’m asking you. Finally, Emma came and greeted us although she wasn’t quick. We ordered pretzels and cheese, a ham and cheese sandwich and a fish sandwich. The order came to a little over $51. This seemed a bit steep. The food was hot, I liked the dish and the rye bread but the fries and slaw was nothing to write home about. I liked the cheese that came with the pretzel 🥨, but the best thing was the rye bread that came with my fish sandwich. Our Drinks were $3.25 a piece for a Diet Coke and ice tea. Inside the restaurant, a tuba quartet were playing and that was sort of cool. The restaurant had a small gift shop. I suspect Octoberfest is a blast at this restaurant. I’d came back for a pint, but I would eat elsewhere at another restaurant in the area.

The food was terrific! We had absolutely wonderful service and loved trying this place while exploring yesterday. Our glasses were never empty and dirty dishes were pre-bussed from the table. Our food was served fresh and hot. We started off with fried pickles and the breuhouse fries. I ordered the jagerschintzel with German potato salad and fried cabbage. Fabulous!

This one of our favorite places to go. The Ambiance (especially when there is live music), the food and of course the beer.... the Snitzel, the potato salad, the Wurtz and the shank (braised or crunchy) are to die for.

Essen Über Alles! Growing up around Germans & cuisine this is possibly the best meal I've ever had eating out. Ordered the Munich Sampler and the Lager. The wife had the Potato Pancakes that were served up perfectly for her. Both beyond delicious, coupled with the atmosphere. The goats were my favorite. Great Hall, Great Service, Great Experience!

Came here for dinner the other night and it was an AMAZING experience! I would definitely come back here again next time I visit the area! Food: I got the Hofbräuhaus Hot Brown and my friend got the Munich Sampler. Both were very tasty, but our favorite part of the meal was the Potato Soup. It was the best and most hearty soup I've ever had! It was SO GOOD that we ordered some soup to take back to eat later! The soup was so creamy and delicious. It resemble clam chowder without the clam, and it was better than any chowder or soup I've ever consumed. If you get anything from this review 👏 ORDER 👏 THE 👏 POTATO 👏 SOUP! 🥔 Service: Amazing waitress with very good recommendations. She knew the menu like the back of her hand! She had several people to wait, but she was so attentive. Atmosphere: There was wonderful live music playing and it was an excellent experience. The restaurant was very lively and the decor was great. Loved the seating options and how cozy it was (even when the restaurant was pretty large). ✅I would HIGHLY recommend this place! It was such a fun experience!✅ Note: If you are not a fan of lively places and loud sounds, this may not be a good place to visit. If that's the case, definitely get some takeout from here!!

Fun atmosphere for kids and adults. Food is delicious and very reasonably priced! Very rarely I visit a restaurant more than once on a business trip but I came here 3 nights for dinner! The cream puffs are amazing, a must try for dessert!

Attended Oktoberfest Zinzinnati...wow, so crowded. Had a beer and went search of a German restaurant. Found Hofbräuhaus and we had a time! Close and cheap parking compared to across the river. Great and cold beer served in huge glass steins. Live german polka music. The service was really good. The atmosphere was just FUN. Our food was good, too Overall, a really fun and german experience. Highly recommended.

Did it again, gobbling food before taking photos! It was too good to wait! Sampler had nice assortment of treats. Bratwurst always a winner, schnitzel sandwich and spaetzle too much to finish. Outdoor space beautiful. Definitely a great choice for our meal in Kentucky. Even the music and atmosphere reminds me of family.

Found somewhere to eat after leaving Cincinnati and I left disappointed. Hofbrauhaus is definitely a place for beer lovers, but since I don’t drink I didn’t enjoy the fullness of what they offered. The pretzels where good but so are the ones at my local high school the beer cheese is what shines. I had the pork shank, it was good and tender but had very little flavor and was extremely overpriced. Potato’s where nothing special but I did enjoy the fried cabbage. If your looking for somewhere to enjoy some good beer this may be the place but if your just wanting a decent lunch I suggest looking somewhere else.

It's our first time here. We arrived just after 1pm on a Saturday, the place was pretty packed, thankfully the wait was minimal. Parking costs $5 which is a bit annoying. We ordered two items under the specialties menu, the Munich sampler and the Pork Shank, as well as pretzels as appetizer. Being unfamiliar with German food in general, we'd like to try as many kinds as possible. All tasted great! The portions were large but not "too" large, although it did feed all three of us. This lunch did cost more than our typical dinings.
