Top notch! This pub is amazing! Decoration is fantastic and service was great We entered just to use the bathroom but the smell was soooo good that we asked the server and he told us it was the rib sandwich So delicious! I could’ve eaten 3 of those!

Walked down Brick Market & came across this restaurant. The atmosphere was fun - there is so much to look at! I had a cup of lobster bisque, ahi tuna salad, my SO a Caesar salad & daughter the grilled cheese. Nothing super extravagant but the food was good! I HIGHLY recommend the watermelon lemonade. It's FANTASTIC! Our server Melanie was excellent. We stopped by to eat a half hour after they opened & was seating right away. By the time we left, it started to get pretty busy. I'm not sure if they take reservations, but well worth the visit if you're in the area.

We visited for Father's Day and the place was packed. They could have used a few more servers, but overall our entire party enjoyed their food. The salad bar was well stocked, everything came out hot and fresh - there were a few missteps in some requests for modifications on dishes but otherwise tasty. Definitely make a reservation as they seem to be consistently busy.

The place was packed on a Saturday evening at 7:30 with a 1 1/2 hour wait, but we managed to snag 2 seats at the bar right away. Had a good spicy margarita and a glass of wine, and then started with a most delicious apple/brie bruschetta that had bacon and garlic. I had fish & chips which were really good - the fish (cod) fortunately did not have that typical heavy batter on them, but just a light crust. The fries, which were bigger than usual but not quite steak fries, were perfectly cooked. We also had a bacon burger which was also cooked to perfection and delicious. We got the brownie sundae for dessert and it was plenty for 2 people, and we couldn't even finish it. Highly recommend this place.

I came here for dinner my very first night in Newport. Upon entering the restaurant, the hostess that seated me was very bubbly and welcoming. My server, who I believe her name was Amy, was friendly and attentive. I ordered the lobster bisque, salmon entree, and chocolate molten cake from the decent sized menu. Everything was great, but I wish they would have given just a little more garlic mashed potatoes for the side dish that comes with the salmon entree. Otherwise, the lobster bisque was creamy and flavorful, and the chocolate cake was very rich. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and is very clean. If you get a chance to use the restroom, the area upstairs is quite cool to check out. Overall, I was pretty pleased with my experience dining here, and I will surely come here again the next time I visit the area.

Brick Alley is more than a restaurant, it’s an experience. As a native I appreciate all of the Newport nostalgia. There’s nothing else like it. The wall art and vintage items are amazing. Food was exceptional. Staff so friendly and attentive.

Bruschetta for an appetizer, and chicken and waffles with Mac and cheese as the side. It was all amazing! The vinaigrette topping was the perfect addition. The waffle was the right amount of sweet to mix with the breaded chicken and gravy. I would definitely recommend all of the food I had. Our server was also excellent, very friendly and helpful! If you have not visited, you are missing out! They also clearly care because they give you a survey with the check, so they want to he great, and they are!

The largest beverage menu I have ever seen. Menu is big and a little confusing. Service and food was excellent. We shared the mussels appetizer that came with a delightful garlicky sauce. My dinner was misordered and they have me the right dish complimentary as they should.

The hostess called us earlier than expected after putting our name on a wait list. Our waitress, Claire, was attentive, though she was very busy. Our meals were delicious!!

Excellent experience. I sat at the bar, and the bartenders were very active and involved. I asked for a bacardi and diet, go light on the alcohol, and it was perfect. I had the soup and salad lunch buffet. The carrot ginger soup was out of this world, I could have just kept spooning it all day long. The salad bar was clean, and everything was really fresh. Lots to choose from. They had a tin of different dressing available.

6/23 Brick Alley Pub in Newport, RI. We had an outstanding meal here for lunch today. Our server was Elyse, and can’t say enough about her skills and wit. Rarely meet people looking out for their customers as she did. Service was a 10 out of 5. At the table Point Judith style calamari, few bowls of delicious clam chowder, fish ( cod) sandwich and ahi tuna sliders on wonton crackers. Excellent and shared by all of us. Drinks were good also. Recommend you need to go and partake in a tasty meal in a fun atmosphere.

Perhaps one of the most popular places in the city. And for good reason the food here is amazing. The restaurant is huge, but nevertheless it can be difficult to find an empty seat. If you come for the weekend or just during the season, I recommend booking a table in advance, otherwise you will have to wait more than an hour at the bar (at best). Definitely need to order a Lobster Roll here. There is a lot of lobster meat and it so fresh and juicy. And I really liked the clam chowder.

Tourist review: we loved our experience at Brick Alley. It was a recommendation by our Airbnb host and it was spot on! We loved everything from start to finish from the location being right by the water in Newport. We enjoyed walking the shops while we waited for our table. The service: this was a major highlight for us! Madison who was our waitress was so kind and welcoming. She made great recommendations and was so attentive! Not only was Madison on top of it, the whole team was polite and friendly. We met the manager who came by, asked how our food and experience was going, and additional servers who also said hi! The food: I got the lobster Mac and cheese. My wife got the short rib sandwich. BOTH were amazing!!! Haha. The Mac and cheese had generous servings of lobster and tasted wonderful! The short rib was full of flavor! Absolutely amazing meat! Then came dessert! A big bowl of ice cream with a chocolate brownie and almond shavings. Yes please! Overall an amazing experience and a must eat if your visiting Newport! Can't wait to go again someday!

Place was very busy and had a wait. Pretty expected for a Saturday evening in the summer. Service was great, food was absolutely delicious and the prices were fair. The mussels special was awesome. We practically drank the broth once we finished the musslest. My Huntsman Burger was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. It was cooked a perfect medium and the blue cheese was delicious. My wife got the Lobster Mac and Cheese and we were both impressed with how much lobster was in it. Very very tasty. If you're in Newport and need a delicious meal in a cool, casual place, make sure you stop at Brick Alley Pub.

We visited RI and went to have lunch here. It was so crowded (I was very skeptical at first but it turned out to be one of our very best experience in Newport RI) We were seated very quickly although it was pretty busy. I ordered the lobster Mac and cheese with garlic mashed potatoes and I have no regrets! It was so good, packed with lobster. (I have come to realize that RI is one of the places in New England that does NOT short you on the lobster) I would do this all over again (if I can) I tried clam chowder for the first time and it was good. My husband had Penne Al pomodoro with chicken and garlic toast— it was soo yummy. We definitely recommend this place and be sure to get their garlic mashed (one of the best)

Excellent place, and area to visit along the water. Great food, and service. Highly recommend stopping here for food. The fried mozzarella was the best I've ever had. The burger was really good. My friends also loved their nachos and burgers. Will definitely visit again if I'm ever around the area!

Great atmosphere, the walls are covered with all of Newport. Service was good. The burgers were cooked to temp, good flavor, and had many options. Also a great beer and whiskey selection, 2nd only to Pour Judgement. Great all round dining experience.

Food at this establishment was delicious. The salad bar looked so good (we would have had that if someone told us about it as we were being seated). We were seated immediately, but it took quite a while for our waitress to take our order. Once ordered, our waitress gave customers that were seated after us their meal before we got ours. She never came back to check on us after we received our food. Just gave us our bill once we finished eating.

Nice atmosphere and good food. Salad bar was a plus, table had lobster mac n cheese, stuffed shrimp and fillet medallions, and a patty melt. Worth a try if you're in the area.

We very much enjoyed our lunch here. The atmosphere of the place is fantastic due to the all the decor on the walls and ceiling. Highly recommend the lobster macaroni and cheese and the Portuguese littlenecks.

I drove a senior adult group, on a Motorcoach from Cleveland TN to Newport. Everyone wanted to experience good Clam Chowder & a Lobster Roll. The amazing Clam Chowder & the delicious Lobster Roll did not disappoint! Everyone enjoyed their meal. Service from Jordan was excellent. She was very polite, professional & just a Sweetheart. Highly recommend Brick Alley Pub!

After a visit to the cinema we went to the bar for a small snack. The service was quick and very attentive. The food was fantastic. Fresh, hot and very tasty. The interior is very cozy and there is a lot to see. The mood of the guests and the staff was great. Would eat there again👍

Wonderful location. Drinks were very good. Waitress did a great job recommending things for us to try. The Carmel Mimosa is so good! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Didn't try desserts but seen some and they looked really good. Located on a cute street with some great shops to visit. Definitely would go back again if ever in the area.

The Huntsman Burger was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The Sunday Fun Day Bloody Mary came with a couple really large and fresh shrimp which was awesome, but I wish their homemade bloody mary mix had a little more taste. Was a bit bland. Still, the burger was that good so would definitely recommend it.

I haven't dined here in years, but I'm glad we returned. This is a popular restaurant, so I suggest making reservations if there's a large group. The menu is basic American pub style food. A little pricey, but very filling. French onion soup was amazing. As was fish and chips. Cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Food was served promptly. Servers were attentive and friendly. Lots of reataurant to choose from in Newport, but this offers a bit of charm, quality food and decent pricing.

We hosted our rehearsal dinner at Brick Alley Pub. The location is perfect because it is within walking distance from many Newport hotels. The event coordinator was easy to work with. The event space was set up beautifully on the day of the dinner. The food was delicious, and the staff were so nice! We also chose two "signature cocktails" to serve, which were fantastic. I would definitely recommend choosing Brick Alley for your rehearsal dinner or event!

Love the Brick Alley Pub, the place is always busy and since covid is back you kind of want to go places on the early side. The Ultimate Nachos are really good. We had 4 of us at the table and barely finished it. I ordered a cup of chowder and had half and gave the rest to my wife. We like to compare chowder from different places. My lunch was a cheese burger, which was a good size. Very good lunch. 👍

My mother and I visited Newport for the first time and came here for lunch — everything was amazing! I had the salmon in lemon picatta sauce and my mom had the lobster raviolis. We both cleared our plates and used bread to get all the delicious sauce of the plates. But the real gem was our waitress, Teresa. I’ve worked in the industry and an a frequent restaurant goer — she’s quite possibly the best waitress I’ve seen. Friendly, accurate, helpful choosing beers … I just cannot say enough. GREAT EXPERIENCE and will return in the future.
