Food was average, but pretty good overall. Service was a bit slow, but I think we had a new waitress. Worst was trying to get a reservation. Couldn't book online because they were full, called they were full, and then I had American Express call and the were "able to add a table" for me, unfortunately the restaurant was pretty empty the entirety of the time we were there. Fine experience overall, just some weak points.

Went for Saturday brunch and it was great. Special brunch menu came with a drink included. Staff was very friendly and was super accommodating with our 9 month old daughter. Cool spot down the end of a wharf basically on the docks. Breakfast burger was great and wife got a turkey blt. Wish the menu was bigger and a few dollars cheaper but still no complaints from me.

Fantastic service with an amazingly enthusiastic waitress. Entrees were great and tasted very good. Appetizers like the calamari were good but portions were kinda very small compared to a lot of other places. Shrimp scampi was great but the short rib was a little on the dry side. Definitely recommended.

Found this place on a whim and it did not disappoint! Friendly staff, amazing food (Best calamari and lobster bisque I’ve ever had!) and breathtaking water views. Our server Killian was personable and attentive and made our dining a wonderful experience. Check this place out!

The food and atmosphere here were great-- we had the cheese plate, cheese and bacon fritters, dirty chaitini (sooo good), and the chocolate cake and red velvet cheesecake for dessert. However, the real star was our server, Lisa Ann! She was incredibly welcoming and entertaining, offered us great recommendations, and was right on top of things. We loved her humor and she made the night so fun!

3 star overall. Service was good, atmosphere was nice but the food was disappointing. I will say it was fresh, but tasteless. Don’t get the pina colada, it just tastes like orange juice. Which baffles me. Items off the kids menu came good. The chicken tenders were lightly breaded and perfect with fries. That was the best part of the 145.00 meal.

The vibes and view are definitely the selling point here. If you get lucky with a nice sunset, would highly encourage outdoor seating. We even had live which was a surprise plus. The veggie Flatbread was really good altho the burger could definitely had a bit more flavoring. Service was great and it was very lively.

Simply delicious food. Very nice service. And then the view at sunset. We were there on Wednesday night for dinner. We had drinks and an appetizers at the bar before taking a seat for dinner. We ordered cheddar and bacon fritters. They were so delicious we could have filled up on them. Got drinks we has Moscato, which was delicious, sadly they ran out of that. Also, we tried the adult lemonade and spicy watermelon margaritas. We had the duck, delicious, shrimp scampi, large portion, the Flatbread, and the Tuna. The tuna was a little dry for being medium cooked. But otherwise, everything was great. They have music bingo on Wednesday nights.

Very pleasant dining, gorgeous outdoor seating right by the water. We came for Father’s Day and there was no wait. Parking is available near the restaurant, but it is limited to about 12 spots. My salmon poke was just alright, my party members felt okay about their food. The service was great tho, our waitress was extra nice and very patient! I definitely recommend you visit it!

Have you been to Happy Hour at the Reef? Kevin & Dom are very talented mixologists. The view at Sunset is AMAZING! Appetizers are half price and delicious! We had an incredible time enjoying the golden hour there with friends! Poke, escargots, muscles, & calamari (prepared naked) were all delicious!

Absolutely enjoyed every dish served. The toast could have used a little bit of citrus and sweetness but very delicious. Our server was just perfect. The views and music were an added pleasure. Definitely recommend.

Add this one to your to do list! First off the service was exceptional. The day we went the weather wasn't the greatest so we arrived about and hour before our reservation. we were going to browse Thames but it was a little chilly so we asked and they were able to sit us immediately. EVERYTHING we had was delicious!!! Calamari was absolutely delicious.

The igloo experience was such a fun night for the entire family! My kids really enjoyed it. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! The salmon was fantastic and unlike any salmon dish I have had. Our server was friendly and attentive. It was a very cold night and the igloo was a bit chilly - I would recommend dressing very warmly. But overall we had a very enjoyable family night out.

We had such an amazing time in our private igloo at The Reef!! It was a freezing night but with our electric heater, cozy blankets, pillows and warm drinks we were fine! Food was fantastic (and they were really great about my gluten allergy), drinks were lovely and our waitress was so wonderful. I highly recommend this fun experience! I cannot wait to come down to Newport to try The Reef during warmer months!

The atmosphere, food, drinks, and service, were great! It made for a perfect evening. We hadn’t been here since Covid, and will definitely come back.

I had a reservation but it took 20 minutes for anyone to come to my table. This was after I asked two people for assistance. Once a server came to the table, he said they were only two people working the patio. The food was just okay. I had the shrimp po boy and chowder. Nice view.

My wife and I were here three times for lunch during our honey moon, and it was just splendid. We’re back three years later In at it’s still great! It’s right on the water, so be sure to ask for a table outside. Probably the best fish & chips in Newport. Drinks are fantastic.

My husband and I had brunch in one of the private igloos and it was absolutely the best experience. The igloos were very cozy and warm even on an extremely cold and windy day, with a view of the water you can’t beat. The food and drinks were some of the best we’ve ever had! Lisa Ann our server was fantastic. She was so pleasant and had the best recommendations. Everything made for a wonderful brunch outing. Wish we lived closer so we could come back more often!

The Alice in Wonderland igloo was a beautiful setting for our get-together. The birthday girl was throughly happy. Our server couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating.

Mother's Day 2023, three moms and a mother's day birthday boy. Lots of reasons to celebrate. We ate out on the pier where the sun was shinning. Very nice. I had the lobster roll and fries. Was pretty tasty and satisfying. Also did some oysters, they have several variety. It was a pleasant experience.

Highly recommend getting a group together to enjoy the igloo village. Our 4pm reservation meant we could still order from the lunch menu. The food and cocktails were great. And our servers were so sweet, accommodating, and helpful.

A wonderful place to be by the water. Amazing view, great music, the bartenders and other staff were incredible nice. The tables has table cloths and the place is beautiful. About the food, the brunch had delicious options and their seafood plus steak were out of this world.

A friend and I were there for lunch on Friday. The portions were generous, the food was good, the service was good, the atmosphere was pleasant and the price was reasonable. The only comment I would make to management is that they need to do something about signage. Actually, the lack of signage. We saw no signs ANYWHERE indicating your location. Thank goodness for google maps.

I don't tend to go out in Newport that much so I don't have much to compare to. The service was okay here - bar service was slow, table service was the same. Was told we couldn't be seated early for our reservation because kitchen was backed up. The lobster pasta dish was overpriced for what it was ($46 for rigatoni and lobster meat). The wagyu tartare was excellent. Crispy sushi rice was good as well. I do not recommend the bacon cheddar fritters...tasted like an odd clam cake. Every cocktail I had here was subpar (I don't think anyone in my party ordered the same drink twice because everyone was just trying to find something that tasted good). Obviously the view was amazing...right on the water. The live music was not my cup of tea...no one was dancing or listening to it. The Reef is not terrible by any means, it's good for what it is.

I had a wonderful time dining with my wife at this restaurant! The front desk were welcoming and friendly the moment we arrived. They were able to find us a seat for us right away at the bar. The bartender, Lenny, was friendly and inviting. Our food arrived quickly and it was delicious. We ordered the Wagyu tartare and the crispy rice tuna for appetizers. All delicious. For drinks, we had the purple rain and their in-house draft. Definitely recommend and will visit again!

I was greeted by a very friendly and efficient host, and seated at a pretty dock- side table on their patio. My waiter, David, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and made sure he attended to every detail even though he was very busy. There was live music under the tent/patio Right close by, a very good musician with an acoustic guitar and current songs. I got the fish and chips which was excellent, my boyfriend got the lobster roll which he also very much enjoyed. A very good selection of wine, beer, and also a full cocktail bar. Very pretty views in a wharf area that is set back a tiny bit, but still very pretty at sunset. Not too expensive considering it is Newport.

Well, let’s talk about this place. I’m from Massachusetts got here for lunch. The Hostess said: we don’t take walk in ppl, there is another restaurant across the street and everything here needs to have reservation. I saw so many table with nobody. I checked online and I make my reservation for 20 minutes ahead. Why the hostess did not ask me to make it online? Why did not care about us and invited us to go to another restaurant? Bad customer service. Zero star for them! Brianna was our server today, absolutely amazing. Very friendly, helpful, smiling. She make our experience better. Thank you Briana! We ordered Calamari, very tasty, crispy. Fish and chips great, love it.

This place is a dream! The view: IMPECABLE, Breathtaking, Stunning! The staff: Quick, Efficient, Absolutely Sweethearts. Our server (Autumn) was the sweetest! The food: SO SO GOOD! I had the lobster roll and I’ve also had the Lobster A La Vodka .. *chef’s kiss* Definitely will be back for more of that. The drinks: so subtle and refreshing and yummy. I had the “Show Me Your Spritz”. Had fresh strawberries inside too 😋 If you’re ever in Newport.. 10/10 Recommend The Reef ♥️

We had a wonderful dinner there at July 4th. The weather was nice and the food was delicious! The waitress was very kind and offer us suggestion for best firework sighting locations. We had a bottle of wine and spent about 3hours there just chill and enjoy the weather and meal.
