Our family go to the Coldra at least once a month and always experience great food and service, so I thought it was about time to leave this review. We highly recommend going. We’ve been to other Tobys around the country and the Coldra is by far the best!

Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious and the carvery meat portions were plentiful. Both the vegetables and meat did not look like it had been sat there for hours - it all looked very freshly made. Strongly recommend - WE WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK!

We have had another wonderful breakfast with Santa and his lovely helper (raffle number 699) Food was delicious as always and the children adored spending time with Father Christmas. We come back year after year, and you never disappoint. I'm sure we'll be back for many roast dinners between now and next Christmas!

Food looked and was dry, none of the food tasted of anything even the so called famous Toby gravy was tastles. And believe it or not the ice cream had no taste. Will never have a Christmas dinner again. Don't waste your time and money.

Excellent meal as always. One of our group who doesn't normally eat very much said she couldn't eat anything for tea. That is an enormous compliment from her. Can't fault anything. Looking forward to our Christmas meal..

The staff couldn’t do enough! table were cleared and cleaned quickly by cheerful staff. We went at a busy time and there was no shortage of food. Definitely going to pay you another visit soon!

Breakfast with Santa was fantastic. Once again we were met with smiling faces from the lovely team in Newport. Beth and the lovely lady behind the bar ( sorry i didn't get her name ) were fabulous and so helpful yet again. Food was lovely and hot with plenty prepared and choice to choose from and the Yorkshire Puddings were HUGE !!! The Santa's grotto was beautifully decorated and cosy along with Santa's and his lovely helper. My granddaughter loved it. Both Santa's and his helper were very warm and welcoming really made the children feel welcome and at ease. Once again another lovely visit Toby Carvery newport and a very merry Christmas and Happy New year to all the staff. Ticket 690

Server, Marion, was very happy and welcoming. (We didn't have time to see photos of her new grandchild.) The carvery roast beef was first class, with a good selection of vegetables. Desert was apple & plum crumble. Different, but perhaps the topping was a little too sweet. Raffle ticket number 398
