I wasn’t going into staying in this room thinking it was going to be the greatest but it was terrible. Instantly walking into the room it smelled like walking into an ashtray. The dust and smoke in this room was so bad I couldn’t stop sneezing the entire night. Also you could see the nicotine streaks on the walls inside the bathroom. The bed was about as comfortable as a piece of cardboard. I haven’t been to worse hotels than this dive hole. The ONLY REASON why I’m not giving this place a one star is the lady checking us in was very sweet. Overall unless you want to burn your clothes afterwords or smell like a Marlboro cigarette when you leave. Do yourself a favor and keep looking elsewhere.

All you could smell in the hallways and room was cigarette smoke. Was told that when they remodeled 2 years ago they tried the no smoking policy but their regulars said they wouldn't stay there so they now have smoking rooms. She couldn't tell me how many of their rooms were allowed smoking. Supposed to be only 20% according to Iowa's law. The way the halls smelled I'm pretty sure they were all smoking rooms. No apologies from the staff and if there had been other rooms in town we would have left. Refrigerator made noise all night and the floor was flooded in the morning. Continental breakfast was granola bars and juice. We will never stay at an Econo Lodge again. Sleeping in the truck would have been better.

DO NOT STAY HERE! unfortunately can not leave negative stars. Nasty horrible smell of weed and cigarette smoke permeating into the room so bad clothes still smelled of weed into the evening as Left early so not to become ill due to the second hand smoke. Management didn’t seem to care at all either. DO NOT STAY HERE!! Refund will be expected for health safety violations leaving without starting the night. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

The room was okay. The beds are very firm. The hallways stunks of cigarettes and weed. The bathroom toliet you had to hold down the handle and then pull back up to get it to fill back up. The top of the toliet was very dusty and dirty as well as the base of the toliet. The walls are paper thin. We were woke up at 630 by someone loudly fighting or rough housing after being at the races until 1am. There is no breakfast, just oatmeal. It wasn't super busy and the staff were nice.

Everything was dirty. Bugs came out of the drain in the bathtub. We spent over 100.00 to get bedding and a smoke detector from Walmart. All other hotels were booked during our stay so we were stuck with this room. This was the worst hotel we have ever been to. The parking lot was also filled with garbage all over.

The first room was not cleaned properly. But the second room is great! Good shower pressure and very spacious!

Frightening and filthy. This was awful. The front desk lady had scratches and scabs covering both arms that she kept picking and blood was everywhere. The facility is unsafe and absolutely disgusting. I was shocked at how nasty. The tub was moldy, floors and walls covered in nasty stuff, the bed was covered in cig burns and there was stains everywhere. The mattress looked like an original from 1930. It was absolutely disgusting. Do not stay here. Absolutely filthy. I couldn't believe the lady at front desk was bleeding and picking scabs. We left after seeing the room.

Horrible hotel. The place WREAKED of both cigarette smoke, and it was also musty. There was an animal running in the ceiling grabbing and moving tiles. None of the doors that were supposed to be locked, actually locked. Huge security risk. The front manager, was rude, and refused to give us a refund. We literally paid for another hotel because this one was so awful.

Definitely a two-star experience The front desk clerk was very disorganized and checking in was rather difficult. Rooms are nice and updated hotel gets a little noisy after dark.

The breakfast was a joke compared to what was advertised.packaged honey buns, granola bars and coffee was all that they put out. The room was old and dirty. Stains on the walls. Needs painting. Holes in walls. Reserved a 2 queen smoking room . Got double beds. Got 1 bath towel for 3 people. The tv shut off after about an hour and we could never get it back on. Never recommend for anyone. Especially tired and sore travelers.

Asked for a non smoking room got a non smoking room but stunk of cigarettes. Checked in at 630 am had a late check out time of 12 housekeeping came by 2 times when I explained I had a 12 check out then they started to vacuum right out side my door. Would not recommend this hotel if you're looking for quiet. There was one highlight The front desk staff both the night shift and the day shift were very polite very courteous and very helpful

Average cheap hotel. Front desk clerk Gerry was so sweet and helpful. Room could have been cleaner, a few cob webs around the ceiling. Beds were comfortable. Would stay again

For the most part, I was happy with the room. However, the hallway smelled of cigarettes which lingered. The service was good and I would try it again.

Almost perfect. With my health issues, the stairs were quite the challenge. Also, the low sitting toilet was a bigger challenge. Just my opinion, but I think all rooms should have a rail by the toilet to assist clients when using. But everything was fine.

I was given a different room because the first room smelled like pee. The second room was alittle better but really needs some work ceiling tile in the shower is falling down. In the hall ways the ceiling tile is just as bad. This is one of the worst econo lodges I have ever stayed at.
