By far the best Chinese food I've ever had, and I've been to at least 40 Chinese takeaways. Brilliant menu, really fast and friendly service. I recommend the crispy beef pekingese style, and the duck in plum sauce. This is more than 5 x as good as the next best Chinese takeaway in Newtown. If this is closed, have beans on toast!

I have been coming to this takeaway for years. All the Chinese takeaways in the area are pretty decent tbf but this is my favourite go to place, I recommend the Curry dishes, Singapore Rice or Noddles. I’ve read some of the bad reviews on here where ppl have tried it once and decided to run a family business down, I’m sure these are the same ppl that have never cooked a bad meal at home themselves. In the 20 years I have been using this takeaway yes there may be one or two meals that weren’t up-to their usual standards but It gets 5 stars in my book for quality and consistency over that time.

The food was ok. Some dishes lacking in flavour and seemed similar to other dishes. They only take cash too unfortunately.

I have never had such a horrible meal. We all got ill 🤒 The rice is soggy Most of the meat was still cold And when they say gravy it means it! Nasty like school dinner gravy. It looks like frozen stuff from Icelands reheated twice and served cold. Fortune Court is easy the only option in Newtown or go here risk hogging the toilet bowl and still going hungry. Even my dog wouldn't eat most of it and it smells like his food. How there still open is a joke

Enjoyed takeaway here while on holiday nearby. Food was really tasty, had king prawns with bamboo shoots and water chestnut & the wife had chicken with ginger and spring onion crab & sweetcorn soup. The staff are so helpful and welcoming, and food was still hot after our 15 min drive back to the cottage. Busy and extremely popular which told us the food was good ......and it was.

Food was tasty but they said on phone 45 mins wait. We got there and waited another 40 mins. Lots of other people waited for that long too which was a shame

Really enjoyed our meal tonight. Friendly and fast service. Portions very generous, all hot and plenty of meat and prawns in our chow mein.

Rice dishes are lovely, golden special fried rice with very tasty gravy is the best. We also recommend curry dishes, salt & pepper dishes, peking dishes & crispy garlic chicken. Food smells delicious. We tried all other local restaurants & takeways, Kwai Chin has been favourite for over 15y. Friendy staff who do mind customising dishes & it is very good value
