The views are more than impressive. Beautiful, green, cool, smells fresh. A place where you feel like the master of the world. πŸ€

Beautiful setting with amazing views. The castle and gardens are great but the best bit for us was the park and trees. You feel so far removed from the city in this spot. A great escape

Beautiful park 🀩🀩 looks like a fairy tale. There’s good parking available. There’s a visitors area and cafeteria, they are super clean and well maintained. You can even get married here πŸ˜‰

Fantastic hike up to the top of β€œthe nose” to enjoy some of the best panoramic views of Belfast on a clear day. Hike itself was fairly easy along a maintained path and we saw a few runners and bikers out enjoying themselves as well.

The views from the top are amazing and rewarding for hiking. If you hike from the closest parking spot (upper hightown road) note that 1) Google maps will get you to a wrong spot as of June 2022: close but you may have to turn back. 2) there are 2 trails from the parking leading to the same viewpoint (see attached map photo).

A place of natural beauty. Maybe God is a thing. Bring a good walking stick. And maybe some snacks.

Really nice walk with an abundance of mushrooms in autumn. And great views as you climb. Multiple trails for different abilities. Not very accessible for those who use mobility aids though. Lots of dogs off lead which worries me a little.

A great hike with stunning views of the city of Belfast. Different distance options (7,4 and 3km) means that various hikes can be done with children or dogs or even combined to fit in more distance. Be prepared for rain, mud or high winds year round. Signage can be poor in spots to study maps (online or posted) before heading out.

Brilliant walking and hiking trails, could be signposted better for visitors. Not very clear for those who don't know their way around. Great sightseeing facilities.

A nice lovely place with history and also a great view of the whole Belfast. Amazing Belfast Castle. You can take great pictures. No parking fee or other entry fee. Take your family with you or go for a walk. Very friendly staff members.

A great place for a hike or to escape the city centre. There are beautiful views with the city on one side and lovely green hills on the other. If you want to enter the small cave you have to climb a bit.

Early morning walk. Paths not well signposted to good view points. Found a second map on the path that looked different to the original one at the top. Loads of flys. And a lot of dog mess that covers the path.

Nice spot, plenty of paths and amazing views. Poor path marking but it's easy enough to find way around

Tough hike but worth it for the spectacular views at the top of the trail. Definitely would recommend.

Great day out. The Cavehill trail took us about 2.5 hours and was a substantial and rewarding walk when we made it to the top!

Views are a must see :) we walked up the zoo side amd took the bus to get there. A little muddy after the rain. Google maps has a weird route up that wants you to hop a fence? Yea, don't do that. Just walk to the zoo entrance and the trial starts off to the right.

Cave Hill Country Park, a natural gem on the outskirts of Belfast, is a place of both historical significance and stunning natural beauty. One of its most striking features is Napoleon's Nose, a distinctive rock formation that stands as a sentinel overlooking the city. The hike to the top is a rewarding adventure in itself. The outstanding view from Napoleon's Nose is nothing short of breathtaking. On a clear day, the vista extends far and wide, encompassing the sprawling city of Belfast, the picturesque North Down coastline, and even the rugged landscapes of Scotland in the distance. The sight is a reminder of the interconnectedness of nature and history, as well as the beauty that surrounds us. The trek to Napoleon's Nose is a bit of a physical challenge, with some steep ascents, but the payoff is worth every step. The sense of accomplishment when you reach the summit is second only to the sense of wonder inspired by the view. The iconic basalt cliffs, lush greenery, and the panorama below make this vantage point a photographer's dream. Cave Hill Country Park is a place where nature and history intersect to create a truly unique experience. It's not just a hike; it's a journey through time and geography. For those seeking adventure, natural beauty, and a touch of history, Cave Hill Country Park delivers in spades.
