By all means, AVOID this dishonest hotel. Do yourself a favour: Insist that the hotel staff come to check your room before you leave! We stayed there the night of June 26. The next day $50 was charged on my credit card. I called the hotel and spoke to Guillermo, the manager who said that the charge was for a blanket ruined by chewing gums. He said would send me a picture of the blanket. What for? They did not come over and check the room when we checked out. Now we are no longer there and they can fabricate whatever story they want. We were together 100% and none of us even had a gum. My husband and I don't chew gums, neither does our daughter , she is wearing braces. That's completely absurd for charging us a fee for something we did not do. $50 is not a big amount so they must have thought that people would not bother writing a review or complaining. I will definitely not let this go unnoticed and no more guests should have this bad experience like us.

Went on a nice little overnight trip to Niagara with my family, upon entering the lobby we were welcomed by a employee who looked very very upset to see us and it wasn’t as welcoming as expected. In pictures of the hotel I saw a sign that said “FREE BREAKFAST” and I was disappointed with a $3 coupon per person to a very expensive restaurant with terrible options and horrible looking food. We had 2 rooms and one of the room keys just wouldn’t work no matter what, so I went down to get it fixed and the unhappy employee fixed it with a frown, it worked just one time until it stopped again, so yet again I went down and I was welcomed by a very nice lady (I wish I could remember her name) who delightfully fixed it and let me know to keep the key away from any phones as it would demagnetize it, the other employee could’ve told me that the first time but decided not to I guess, and this key issue never came up with any other hotels I’ve stayed at so it was a surprise but could’ve been avoided the first time I came down. Once we got into the room, we were welcomed by flickering lights and ugly bedding, the tv looked new but the video quality looked like it was from the 1950s due to the fact that all the channels were very static. The tables had weird stains on them and the bathroom had no heating. At night time I noticed blood on one of the pillows and a few hairs in the bed, I was hoping that they were mine but unfortunately the hair colour didn’t match length or colour and I was sure I wasn’t bleeding. In the morning I found out that our other room had bed bugs and my family was busy purging those little miscreants whenever they found any, I however didn’t notice any in my room. Anyhow I’m not much of a Karen so I didn’t complain about any of my other issues due to the fact that I was paying a really cheap price for this hotel so I couldn’t expect perfection of course. This hotel would receive a 1 star from me but it receives 2 mainly due to the only upside of this hotel, which is of course the location of the hotel. You have to just cross the street to get to the Ferris wheel and racetrack and only a 5 minute walk to the smaller side of the falls and a 15 minute walk to the main falls, and you can go into the city really easily without having to drive. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you’re trying to spend a night here but I guess it could be okay if it was slightly cheaper? Again, location was nice but the room was not it at all. Oh and by the way, that unhappy employee seemed like a manger to me, but I guess I’ll never know for sure since I will not be returning to this hotel.

No elevator and no complimentary breakfast. Clean rooms and a/c is very nice. Excellent location in the center of all of the attractions. Everything is within walking distance which is awesome!

Worst hotel in Niagara Falls Ontario I called them half an hour before going out there to ask for available rooms. And the receptionist said everything is all good and the time we reached there, she was so unpleasant and unfriendly. She made us wait for almost an hour. Even after asking her, she didn’t tell the truth. She was just ignoring us. I was so unhappy from her service and the hotel. I would never ever go there and will not of course recommend to anyone else.

My family and I took a trip to Travelodge by Wyndham Niagara Falls, for 3 nights. The hotel is great, the staff was amazing, my kids loved the pool, my parents loved it. It was a block away from the falls. On the reservation we asked for 2 rooms beside each other, and facing the Clifton hill. And when we got there everything was exactly as we asked for. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were getting everything we asked for. Super nice, very friendly specially the young lady at reception whose first name starts I think with the S. she was great very helpful, kind, and respectable. Rooms were great, service is awesome, the owner is super nice too. It was a very great vacation. Travelodge by Wyndham Niagara Falls and staff we thank you for your hospitality. For sure we are coming back, and I recommended this hotel to everyone. S.R & W.R

The rooms are clean but need updating and there's no maid service. I needed extra coffee and had to go to the front desk and get it myself. You have to go find the maid in the morning if you need clean towels, toilet paper ,shampoo etc. We stayed 3 days and never had our room vacuumed or trash taken out, they don't even empty the ashtrays on the balcony. They did however leave an envelope for a tip...lol

Location was perfect, the room was clean but very outdated, my room-258 smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. Being a non-smoker it gave me a headache. Staff was nice and offered to spray the room, but this was just temporary. I'm sure for the price we paid we could have found a nicer updated non smelling hotel.

Location is everything! People come to three stars hotels and start complaining! Why don’t you go to five stars hotels and stop complaining 🤬 It’s an excellent location at the middle of Clifton hill attractions. Bed mattresses are good room is clean enough and no bed bugs 🐜 which is for us the most important thing. Shower is good and water pressure is good enough to wake you up 🇨🇦 Call them direct to get a better deal. Parking is an extra $15 plus tax. Short walk to The Falls. You may get extra supply from the receptionist like extra toilet paper 🧻 No room rearrangements during your stay so keep it tidy. Has a small fridge, a coffee machine and a microwave 👍 For us it was a good stay and we really recommend it

I have to give this 5 stars. The good morning greetings from 4 lady employees alone bumps it up to 5stars. The room was super clean, fresh sheets, clean bathroom, fridge and microwave which was not expected. Location alone and half the price of the next nearest 10 hotel's. How can you go wrong. I was a little scared after a last minute booking and then reading the bad reviews. I immediately had low expectations and thoroughly checked the mattresses and room for bugs which was not found. And it smelled pleasant and not like smoke. I will stay again and use the money saved on entertainment and dining.

TRavelling with kid, we paid 200$ CAD / night + 15$ parking a night - no breakfast included only for the location. - 1 star for the location on Clifton Hill , walking distance to all the major attractions - Check-in and check out was basic - felt like talking to a robot, not a smile, no thank you no welcome - we booked 4 rooms and all with mold mold mold everywhere covered with paint and patched Carpet was disgusting we didnt dare to remove shoes. One room had a water damage in the bathroom while there. - we left the doors open when in the room, as the rooms smells humidity - Old mattresses - My room had new AC unit but not all the rooms. poor Cleaning ladies doing a good job ( sink and beds were pretty clean) - they cut the cleaning service during the stay - only when you check out. -

The price was great! Especially for Niagara and the location! You are right on Clifton hill and our maid Sherri was polite and our rooms were super clean! Only down side was the construction happening but still worth it consider the strip is pretty loud anyways

Stayed on 26th June. Rooms are ok. Better than crown plaza and better price but they have massive construction going on that is very disturbing and if you want to sleep late this is not the place for you. I wish reception told us about this. Kids got really scared with the noise and vibration.

We booked our room as a "pay when you stay" only to see the full charge of the weekend on my credit card a few ours later!! When I canceled the booking 8 HOURS after booking it, they charged me $194.07 for not even leaving our house!! I get the refund policy, HOWEVER, we paid the extra to pay WHEN we stayed!! And they did NOT honor their end of the deal by waiting for us to even arrive before charging us full price!! When I called to discuss this, the manager was (conveniently) not available and someone was supposed to call me back. Big surprise, I have yet to receive a call! Will never book with Travelodge again!!

    - Bad experience from check in and check out. Family checked in late and called to make hotel aware, they didnt find our names booked at first. Upon arrival and check in,staff was not friendly. Checked out on time for both rooms however my senior dad who is ill badly needs to use the washroom - we even waited outside of the room and was ready to go. Staff saw us since the rooms was just accoss the reception area. Staff rang room phone and told us. “You need to leave” - frustrating and rude for us. We felt we have been kicked out. - smelly room - we had two non smoking rooms but both room smells cigarette

It was awesome. The only problem I had was my side. The headboard of the bed end table n lamp was very, very dusty. I brought it to the attention of cleaning, and she got on it right away. Loved the pool. The cleaning lady was also super friendly and took great care of my room. Also, there were no bed bugs in sight. However, i think they should invest in bed bug covers for the mattresses. This is a great spot a lot around to do. I'll definitely be back

Staff are very nice and keep the place clean, parking lot dusty as they're doing new parking area. The location is perfect close to the Fall and you can go walking down the street and enjoy the Niagara Fall lighting show every night.

The room itself was okay. It’s a bit outdated especially the bathroom but overall clean. Location is awesome. Close to Clifton Hill attractions and close to the river. My biggest complaint is their Wi-Fi was very unstable. I happened to visit when the weather wasn’t great. Had to stay in the room for longer than I hoped. The internet was too spotty for me.

A clean, decent place at center of Niagara fun activities. Rooms were cosy and nice, location is more than perfect. Staff is supportive and very friendly.

We went as a large family and rented 3 rooms all in a row. The pool facility was well maintained and clean and the rooms were nice. The staff was awesome and the location was so central to everything it was hard to decide what to do first. I was absolutely blown away by how amazing everything was!

Close walk to the Falls, lots of things to do around, swimming pool is a big plus, room is nice and clean. Bed is soft and comfortable. A bit pricey but maybe depends on when you want to book your holiday. Lots of parking space.

Rooms definitely smell old and stale. We kept the back door open at most times. Apart from that the motel is pretty okay for a short stay. Staff is helpful and courteous. We've stayed at some other motels in the past too which were horrible. This property is pretty clean and spacious comparatively. At the price you're paying, this is pretty much the best you'll get at the location- right in the heart of Clifton Hill. Will definitely come again.

Great spot to stay, right in the center of all the excitement on Clifton Hill! Walk anywhere within a few minutes, even then falls are close by. We've stayed here before and definitely will again!

PROS: Centre of all the action, free WI-FI. CONS: Paper thin walls, ants in the room (?), low quality toiletries, old wonky air conditioning, balconies that are NOT private (they're openly connected to all rooms on the same floor), cleaning staff that do not knock and unceremoniously try to enter your room unannounced 30 minutes before checkout..???

Good location with parking available. Rooms are outdated and lots of rust in the bathroom. I'd stay here again for convenience

Terrible customer service we stopped in the falls on an unexpected visit thought we'd stay the night (there was fireworks) but I didn't have my cc on me they wouldn't let me call my son(at home)to get all the #'s even though I was willing +able to pay cash they said it would be 150 hold on card but wouldn't let me call for #'s or let me leave the cash for hold so we crossed the street and stayed there lovely place look on Google for my review

This is an older Travellodge don't expect to have modern furnishings - standard 3 star experience in Niagra falls. What matters is the location - great for young and old! In the middle of the attractions with a beautiful short walk down the park path to the falls. Party goers and parents alike will appreciate this location

Great clean rooms. Had everything we needed microwave and fridge. Steps from all rides and restaurants. 5 minute walk to the falls. We had a wonderful family time

Good hotel. The indoor swimming pool is great. Parking does cost $10 extra per night. The service was great, however. And the location is withing walking distance of Clifton Hill.

When staying in this hotel I found that all the Clifton hills attraction and Restaurants is near by which is great. However the property is old but it is maintained very nicely. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The only challenge is, they do not provide breakfast but I would looking forward to have the breakfast facility as well in this property.

I love this hotel...the staff are amazing, the management or owner is such a wonderful man and he always comes to say hi and have a chat. The rooms are big and always very clean and comfortable, with great wifi. I Highly Recommend this hotel.

They were so nice and accommodating. They gave me amazing rooms on short notice and they were very respectful. When I go back to Niagara I will be booking with them again!!!

First of all it’s a motel not a hotel! I booked my room through reservations for 4 families. We were lied to that this was another building of ramada with the same owner. When arrived to check in our credit cards were charged multiple times a deposit fee instead of once. Which we realized after checking out and getting home. The rooms were disgusting. There were cigarettes burns on the sheets and the comforters, there were really bad stains on the sofa, floor and the walls. Pillow covers had huge yellow stains. The room smelt like it was smoked in for years yet they claimed it was a “non smoke” room. It was soo obvious that it’s worse than a motel and the rooms wasn’t even cleaned. There was blood stain on the inside of the comforter as well. Once we saw the rooms we called room service and no one answered. We went to the front desk to complain. The front desk was very rude to us and wouldn’t even give us a smoke free room since We have a newborn with us and it’s bad for her lungs to smell that gunk. They wouldn’t change our room or give us our money back. When we got upset they told us to “call the police”! It was a nightmare. So unprofessional of this place. We felt so helpless. We just left the place and found another hotel. They ate our money and ripped us off. Plus all those extra deposits we were charged we were never given a receipt for. When we called to ask why they weren’t dropped upon check out the front desk hung up the phone on us. We will be moving forward legally with them now. It isn’t fair. Also this place apparently rents out rooms to junkies. Please I beg you guys not to go there. It’s a total nightmare. For anyone and specially for kids!

Staff has always been accommodating and the location is 2nd to none. My daughter and I love Clifton Hill, its like a circus w/o a tent and the lodge puts us right in the middle of it.

Great location, friendly staff, little undermaintained furntiure and avoid corner room as balcony is only the width of a chair. But otherwise, great service

  • 2/5 Florin M. 2 years ago on Google
We paid high price for a room with a view to a wall. Even if the hotel had vacant rooms the staff said that is nothing that they can do. That is a terrible customer service..The rooms were clean but outdated. Near to the attractions but super noisy till near 1AM. I will never use this motel again.
