If
I
could
give
this
negative
stars,
I
would.
Aimee
Patel,
the
general
manager,
told
me
that
the
room,
"wasn't
that
bad."
My
friends
checked
in
without
me
late
in
the
evening
after
having
driven
seven
hours
for
a
vacation
weekend.
Their
room
was
on
the
second
floor,
and
due
to
construction,
was
quite
a
trek
from
their
room.
Did
I
mention
there
was
no
phone
in
the
room?
That
meant
that
all
their
front
desk
interactions
involved
a
trek
to
the
lobby.
Arriving
late
as
they
did,
they
really
just
wanted
to
sleep
but
felt
the
conditions
of
the
bed
linens
were
such
that
they
needed
to
get
them
changed.
Who
wants
to
sleep
on
blood
stains
(regardless
of
whether
or
not
they're
baked
in
washed
linens?
Are
you
really
going
to
touch
that?)
We
cancelled
the
room
for
the
next
night,
but
Niagara
being
Niagara,
there
were
no
other
rooms
available.
Trip
cancelled,
weekend
ruined.
Red
Roof
Inn
Niagara
refused
to
refund
since
technically
we
did
stay
a
night.
Red
Roof
Inn
corporate
basically
said,
"sorry
about
your
luck,"
as
they're
seem
to
be
just
a
reservation
system
for
their
franchisees.
I'm
not
normally
one
to
just
walk
away
from
an
entire
franchise
because
of
one
bad
experience,
but
if
I'm
going
to
roll
the
dice
to
spend
my
money,
I
might
as
well
use
airbnb.
