Hotel is located directly across the street from the park. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. Cathedral across the street from hotel. Juan, is very attentive and super serves everyone. Rooms are very clean, hotel in general is very quite. I would stay again and highly recommend. The staff was very nice and helpful.

I stayed three weeks at the Hotel Plaza Colon to study Spanish and Nicaraguan culture. This hotel was my home away from home and was lovely in every way. It was impeccably clean and comfortable and in a perfect central and safe location. The friendly staff always went the extra mile to be helpful and make my stay as comfortable and luxurious as possible. Thank you all for the wonderful experience.

Very clean, friendly service, nice pool, very good breakfast, perfect location on the main square, reasonable price. My only quibble is that we could hear the music from a nearby nightclub until quite late into the night. Otherwise the hotel was nice and quiet.

Location is fabulous - beautiful colonial hotel in the heart of Granada. Doesn’t get any better than this - Rooms are beautiful - make sure to upgrade to a balcony room overlooking the square and facing the cathedral (yes the carriage horses stink and it can be a bit noisy in the early morning but worth the upgrade). The place becomes alive by 8am. - Beautiful clean and warm pool. - Breakfast has lots of choices. For vegans it’s toast, sometimes avocado, fruit & juice and beans & rice. You can also ask for just beans - they are accommodating. - Beds are large and comfortable - however, after 3 bashes & leg bruises, we had to prop pillows at the footboard to stop bashing our legs into them. - laundry service fast and inexpensive - Pillows are foam and hard as a rocks. Try the sham ones. - Safe and yummy Nicaraguan coffee in the room. - Wifi is very poor! A/C is good. - TV with CNN, BBC & Fox in English. - Bar downstairs is excellent and prices are reasonable. - Water jug in hallway as you can’t drink the water. - A few irritants but highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel with stunning views of the cathedral, a tranquil pool, clean rooms, delicious breakfast, and wonderful people who work there. When my original tour company canceled, Victor and Carlos helped me book last minute tours to see the volcanoes and the isletas so that I didn’t miss anything on my short trip. I can’t recommend this hotel enough!

We had a beautiful room overlooking the square. The room is comfortable with AC, clean, and spacious. We would definitely recommend this hotel. The breakfast by the pool was also lovely.

A beautifully appointed boutique hotel in the center of historic Granada. Large sweeping balconies over look Central Park and the cathedral. Spacious rooms with all the amenities. Grand hacienda hotel with all the modern conveniences. The staff goes above and beyond and truly spoils their guest.

Loved this hotel. I would describe it as classy with a casual feeling. The staff is very professional and friendly. Always ready to lend a hand, suggest a place to eat, etc. the bar is great and the drinks are about $1 for a great cocktail. The included breakfast buffet is very nice with bottomless coffee. The location is exactly where you want to be in Granada and the inner courtyard is peaceful and cool. Among the nicest hotels I've stayed anywhere.

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay here. Swimming in the pool and the air conditioning in the room were greatly appreciated with the heat. The breakfast was delicious featuring more plain American food and Nicaraguan dishes like Gallo pinto. The staff was very polite and we enjoyed our complimentary drink at the bar. The architecture is beautiful and it is well situated to go and explore.

If you ever want to be at your home-away-from-home, then you need to consider your stay at the Hotel Plaza Colón. I two weeks at this phenomenal hotel while doing business and under stressful circumstances. However, the entire staff, and particularly Mari at the front desk and Kenia in housekeeping and wonderful Carlos at breakfast, alleviated all of my worries and truly made me feel like I was on a dream vacation. I could not have asked for anything more. I have traveled the world, so I have a benchmark of what a good five-star rating service is, and I can unequivocally state that Hotel Plaza Colón and its entire staff exceeded the five-star rating of any other hotel out there. Thank you all for your care and service. I will return.

Very comfortable, old mansion that was converted some years ago into a very nice hotel. The place maintained it colonial vibe but is updated with more modern features for travelers. The staff was beyond helpful! We had a flat tire on one of our scooters, and Victor, the man at the front desk, went out and repaired it himself when I repair man didn't show up. Victor is AMAZING!! The whole staff if really great. Located right in the middle of everything, so it's very easy to walk everywhere.

The perfect getaway in Granada!! Not only the hotel is just in front the Parque Central, but it's also a really nice, colonial style, place to stay. Staff was really kind, awesome customer service and comfortable rooms with all the amenities you could need. Clean areas, modern features that bend with the colonial architecture and medium size pool in the center area. Breakfast included with 4+ options and 24/7 private secure parking. Oh yeah, and also they washed my car while we were there. Kudos to them for that!

This was our favorite hotel in our trip to Central America...until tonight. The beds are comfortable, the accommodations are clean and very nice, with everything you could want. The food is also great, and the staff is kind and very helpful. Everything was perfect for our first night. The problem came on our second night. We had a 6:00 am flight, so we decided to go to bed early at 8:00 pm. It is now 1:00 am and we have not been able to sleep for a single second, all because of extremely loud music coming from a bar or restaurant, and this is happening on a Thursday night. We could possibly deal with the music, but throughout every song that is played, the music stops about once every minute for some guy to yell names through a microphone. I wish that I could find out what restaurant or bar this was coming from so that I could leave them a one-star review. If you're looking for a hotel to sleep, this place might not be good for you.

😠 A theft occurred during our stay. The security of the items in the security lockers is non-existent. We put all of our things in the security locker and left to explore the city on foot. When we returned the only other person in our dorm room was frantically looking for his credit card. He thought h...
