They don't know how to make homemade chili, it's like they added stuff to tomato juice, it's really bad, I think if you want BREAKFAST THIS COULD BE YOUR PLACE, OR A SANDWICH, OR HAMBURGER ,PLEASE SOMEONE SHOW THEM HOW TO MAKE HOMEMADE CHILI!!! The CHILI THEY ARE SERVING IS MORE LIKE A VEGETABLE SOUP ( I AM NOT KIDDING YOU) .

Honestly will probably never return here again. Used to think it wasn't to bad here but after yesterday never again. We had a party of 10 when there was plenty of seating available. Got in and sat drinks came order was taken and then it took over an hr after our order was placed to get our food out. Eggs were still raw on several plates hash brown casserole potatoes were still hard. Gravy was watery and Luke warm. May be ill tomorrow what a waste of money and our whole morning

Just had a delicious dinner at this cute restaurant. The meatloaf was amazing. Fried cabbage & mac & cheese were both good. Our server, Pauline, was friendly & attentive. Food was better than Ramsey’s & much more reasonably priced. We need to dine here more often! Update - had the meatloaf again & this time it wasn’t very good ☹️. I guess someone different made it, but it was mushy & full of bread. Hoping it was just an off night 😔

This is my first time trying it. We got the big J cheeseburgers, and they were awesome. Tater tots were wonderful and crunchy. The onion rings were the same, very good! We will be back, and try some of the different items they offer like the Open Face roast beef.

I was truly impressed with the authentic country cooking! There was more than I could possibly eat try as I may. We were a group of nine so the cafeteria style seating was perfect. Service was excellent as were the meals.

Was a horrible experience for my birthday will never go here again there were 6 of us 3 adults and 3 children we ordered took forever to get our food and when it was brought out they only brought 1 child’s food and 1 adults food then 20 minutes later we finally got everyone else’s food or most of it my daughter ordered the meatloaf which was spoiled so she sent it back and asked for chicken tenders instead which she finally received when everyone was finished eating my eggs were under cooked and my mother never received the coleslaw that was supposed to come with her meal yet we were charged for the spoiled meatloaf and the coleslaw along with the horrible hash brown casserole I told them I didn’t want when I ordered it left my daughter apologizing to me for the horrible experience instead of the employees who should have made things right and apologizing yet when they were told about the spoiled meatloaf their response was no one else has complained this is not good business

Always a great experience with tasty food. Staff has always been quick to wait on us & nice. It's an older atmosphere, but always takes me back in time when I'm there. It feels homey!

Every time I am in town, my daughter loves to go eat at the Cottage. We had great service and food is always good and hot.

Service was great (Libby)! This place was recommended to us as a "COUNTRY HOME COOKING" kind of restaurant. They did not disappoint. Loved the country atmosphere and the food was great (I chose country fried porkchops, mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese and my husband chose open face roast beef and gravy, mashed potatoes and banana pudding).

A small quaint cafe in the middle of a smalll city, if your passing though or in the nearby big city its worth a stop in, the food is quality and the staff are freindly, this place deserves more traffic then it gets, its worth your time if for nothing else but the fresh coffee, my and my gf where passing though the state and she said we should check it out, 10 out of 10 worth every penny and more i dont normaly eat gravy but i even enjoyed it in the sampler

Was outta town looking for home cooked breakfast. The Cottage did not disappoint. Food was spectacular. Service was quick. Great price. If ever in the area I highly recommend going there. Best part my hash browns were CRISPY. Just the way I live them.

The food is not as consistent as it used to be. Breakfast is always good. Items such as burgers, sandwiches, etc. are par. The dinner plates are hit and miss. Fish on Fri is good. Spaghetti is not. My husband likes chicken fried steak/chicken everywhere but came home last week after ordering it here and said it was gross. Some dinner items seem packaged (semi home made) with minimal effort. Sides are usually good. I guess it depends on what you consider home cooking. I would not compare this food to Cracker Barrel home cooking. Overall it doesn’t look appetizing and lacks consistency. It’s difficult to order the same items again with similar results. Staff is usually great and attentive but lately we’ve had several negative experiences with inattentive, rude, unknowledgeable staff that seems bothered.

The restaurant was clean. The waitress gave us great service. Our food was delicious. I had liver & onions. My friend had the meatloaf. Generous portions and cooked just enough the way we like it.

It’s what you would expect for a small family ran diner! The servers are usually pretty nice! I think some people don’t understand that they have little control over how fast or slow your food comes from the kitchen! However it usually does take a while! I have no issues with that as long as it’s good food but the food is relatively hit or miss in my own opinion! That is the only reason I’m hesitant of a higher rating! If you’re looking for something new in this small town that has very limited selection, I do recommend checking it out!

Seated quick. However, our server was a middle aged woman with brown hair that didn’t communicate to us that they were out of biscuits and gravy until I already placed my order for a dish that comes with biscuits and gravy. She was so freaking rude! Their air conditioning didnt work and it took forever and we ended up leaving. They brought three different tables that were seated after us their food first. Our waitress doesn’t belong in the restaurant business her customer service skills are non existent. If I could give a lower rating I would. Worst restaurant I’ve ever been to.
