An opera house and major performing arts centre. Quite simply a grand and wonderful venue. The seats are comfortable and we had a great view of the stage. The acoustics were great and the standard of the production was great given that it is the premier venue for opera in Hanover.

Staatsoper of Hannover. It is located in the city center, just 5 mins away of the main train station. Apparently it is included in one of the best 20 of the world, so I believe it will be worthy to look at the tickets. Next to a part with a shape of a triangle, you will find a monument that represents the violence against the Judish town back in the years.

Very nice big opera house building, located near the Kröpcke square. Located near the nice street with big trees - Georgstraße.

Last month I saw the worst opera in my rather long life at Hannover Opera: Tosca. It had been rewritten to focus more on Scarpia, who now was molested by a priest as a child, with Tosca and Cavaradossi both alive at the end. The ending was breathtakingly anticlimactic: Cavaradossi in the church waiting for Tosca. I don’t know, maybe they were going to go out for cappuccinos together. This bizarre change was problematic because (1) new scenes had no music or dialogue, since Puccini didn’t write them, and (2) nobody writes as well as Puccini. Allegedly this production was the result of a new opera director trying to prove himself. If so, wait a few years until he gets it out of his system. I understand Hannover audiences don’t like new music, but there’s no excuse for taking a masterpiece and “updating” it into nonsensical junk.

The State Opera of Hanover is a beautiful and historic building that is a must-see for anyone visiting the city. The opera house is located in the stunning New City Hall of Hanover, and it offers excellent acoustics and modern facilities. Whether you are a fan of opera or classical music, you won't want to miss the opportunity to see a performance at this world-class venue.

The opera house was built in 1845-52 based on a plan drawn by Laves. Originally it served as the royal theatre, as the king considered the theatre in the Leineschloß too small

I went to see Berlim Berlim with a friend. The show was fantastic. The ambient is beautiful and staff very helpful. They didn't turn on the air-conditioning that day tho. I guessed it was not to compromise the voice of the amazing singers.

Perhaps I'm biased as I have worked at the theatre, but I believe that Hannover offers an exceptional auditorium, superb musical quality and an all round great vibe!

A seat from which you can't even see the entire stage and a director whose flamboyant gestures distract from the rest of it. This isn't worth 58€. At least the production looked nice.

Went to see Hansel und Gretel with the kids. The tickets were expensive, the seating area old, the aisles to the seats small and narrow, and the show unspectacular. Don't regret the experience but expected more.

I liked the building but it grates that in the 21st century there are spots in the theatre where surtitles aren't visible (I know other opera houses are a bit more modern, but let's say Valencia has translations in 5 or 6 languages on *each* seat, so Hannover does the bare minimum on this regard which is far from sufficient), also there were no provisions whatsoever for non German speaking patrons. I get it, they may not get that many, but still, opera is nowadays part of the tourism offerings of many cities and some of us tourists will look eagerly for opera performances anywhere we go. Otherwise interval food was adequate, the common areas feel spacious, the restrooms impeccable and the seats were comfortable.

Beautiful building, plenty of access inside for multiple facilities like bathrooms, cloakrooms and bars. Really easy to get in and out among large crowds of people. Seating comfortable; production and sound quality has always been great.
