You’ll feel like home here! The hostel is cozy and comfortable, you can chill in the common living room or in the balconies, sipping a coffee or reading a book. The rooms are nice, maybe the singles a bit too small, but the plus is that bathrooms and kitchen are really well cleaned and furnished. I had a wonderful time here, also because of the girl staff that was extremely friendly and kind, they made my stay very pleasant :)) If you like a quiet and comfortable environment, you’re going to love this hostel.

I really like the atmosphere of the hostel. It is cozy, relaxed and very well located. The staff is very nice there, and the place has everything you need for a pleasant stay, even a kitchen. The spaces are clean, there is also a cute terrace with plants just off the sidewalk which is nice for first morning coffee. It is even nice if you travel alone, because it feels like a big house, so you feel close to the other travelers and surely there is someone to share with. it's just wonderful 😸 [ recent photos, overnight ]

In summary: good hostel and no big complaints. Hostel - the good. - The rooms are spacious and reasonably clean, and best of all private shared bathrooms (not cubicles so you actually have privacy when you go to the toilet/shower!). There is a small but functional kitchen and an excellent common room with extremely comfy sofas with chilling and chatting. - The location is brilliant for nightlife: near a lot of fantastic bars and restaurants and within walking distance of a few good clubs (including Berghain although they wouldn't let me in ><). Watergate or der weiße hase are good alternatives if you're into techno. It's also easy to get to the centre via public transport or bike - The staff are lovely and speak good English. - You get a free simple breakfast of coffee, cereal or porridge (I wasn't expecting that!) - They have a laptop you can use if needs be. - The WiFi is OK. Not too slow. The password is printed out and by reception. The bad - Only complaint is the thin walls; you can hear everything. I was woke up on the first night by someone in the apartment complex playing loud music, but they stopped after a while so I got some sleep. - You have to pay to buy a padlock to secure you things so remember to bring your own!

It's one of the best hostels I've stayed at, bar none. The building has character. There's a kitchen and a lounge area where travelers meet and hang out. I had a private room since the dorms were booked out. So my review is regarding their private room that was very comfortable and good enough space for a single traveler. The people (especially Jona) running the show were very helpful and accommodating. And most importantly, it's not a party hostel so it's very quiet during the night. A good location close to bars, shops, and local stores. It was a local experience of some sort, staying four nights in the hostel. I highly suggest the place for travelers wanting a quiet place after a full day or night somewhere and knowing they have a quiet and clean place to sleep.

I've stayed here three nights and it was superb! The location was amazing, the area of the hostel is packed with restaurants & bars. Also, Ostkreuz station is just a walk away to take you to other places in Berlin. The staff was friendly, the rooms & bathroom were always very clean. Would stay again! :)

By far the best hostel I have been. Me and my gf booked a room for two people. Super specious with bed, soda, big table to work inside the room. Totally recommend.

One of the best hostels I’ve ever been to. The staff is extremely nice, shared kitchen is well equipped, bedroom and bathroom are clean and the location is great. All in all perfect, only can recommend.

Wir hatten einen sehr unangenehmen Aufenthalt. Unser Zimmer hat extrem übel gestunken (vermutlich Feuchtigkeit im Zimmer). Am Ende war der Geruch in unseren Klamotten und wir versuchten, so wenig Zeit wie nur möglich an diesem Ort zu verbringen. Wir haben das Problem gemeldet, konnten aber weder Zimmer wechseln noch konnte uns geholfen werden. Wenn man die Kommentare hier liest, hatten wir wohl grosses Pech mit dem Zimmer. Die Gemeinschaftsbäder waren in Ordnung, ebenso die Lage. Schade!

Staff was very kind and helping, everything was clean and the hostel was very calm. There's a lot of amazing restaurants and shops around and Warschauer Strasse station is close which makes this place a perfect location.

Nice hostel with nice staff,The area Friedrichshain is a very interesting place which comes alive at night and its a good area if you want to experience the old East Berlin,Ostkreuz S bahn station is only a few minutes walk away which has good train routes to the city centre and its only a fifteen minute walk to East side gallery.

Stayed for three nights and couldn't have found a better place to stay. Just amazing. As a single traveller I experienced the hostel as a very cozy one with a laidback atmosphere, great people, it's very clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff is super hospitable and knowledgeable about the vibe of Friedrichshain, a vibrant place with lots of cool places to eat, chill, party, a cool Sunday flea market at Boxhager Platz.. all your heart's desires really!

I really enjoyed my 3 night stay here. The hostel has a very chill and cool atmosphere. The staff are really, really nice and so were all the people I met there. The location is pretty much perfect if what you want is a cool, sorta underground and quite youthful area. There are lots of nice bars and restaurants very close by. I liked that it was located quite far from the center, so the area is not filled with tourists, it makes the experience feel a little more authentic, although there are a lot of young travelers which is nice. The room was nice, I didn't need anything and I think it's awesome the hostel has a kitchen where you can store food in the fridge. Free, small coffee and breakfast bar, hangout area, no curfew, free bed linens and lockers (good idea to bring your own lock). I think that for what you pay to stay here, it is so worth the price and I would definitely stay here again.

Loved this hostel, we stayed in a private room and it was perfect for just the two of us. The facilities and staff were great, the bathrooms and kitchen clean. It wasn't a noisy/party hostel (atleast not during our stay), which we much preferred as it meant we could chill and get some sleep. The area is great also!

It was really nice! The hostel is close to the S-Bahn and it's easy to get to from the airport. Also, a lot of bathrooms which is great! Worth mentioning, people who work there were really nice. Especially Adam!! I kinda want to stay at Backpacker Berlin again just for him :)

The place is amazing. My room had so comfy couch! The staff is very helpful and you can easily find there place for yourself. In the morning you can eat some cereals with milk (unfortunately not vegan) and drink some coffee for free. Then after sightseeing you can cook something or just chill in nice shared space. I totally recommend you this place. (I was in double room. There's one bathroom for rooms, but you can always go downstairs. There's more.)

Lovely hostel. Good bathrooms and kitchen, breakfast food are provided. Well located less than 10 minutes from a station.

It was really fun. The staff really tried to help us and solve any little problem we had. They were also very social and open to any kind of question. The rooms were clean,warm and the bathrooms were pretty clean too. If you are on a budget stay in Berlin, you should totally consider.

Overall one of the best backpackers internationally we have stayed in. Private twin room. There were only a few other guests at the time, which definitely helped. Nice kitchen and comfortable lounge. The smoking courtyard right outside the lounge might have been unpleasant - luckily no smokers while we were there. Wifi in room was dodgy. One toilet didn't have a handwash basin and the shower floor tended to be very wet and slippery. However excellent service from staff. Love the free cookies.

This hostel was really good. It's 30 minutes from the city centre but really close to the authentic Berlin night life. The rooms and the bathrooms were clean and the staff was great and ready to give advices if needed. I definitely suggest this place for people who are willing to jump in the young Berliners authentic life

Excellent location, many bars, restaurants, markets and bakeries around, but the street where the hostel is located is very quiet. Perfect for a good sleep. The rooms are cosy, the beds comfortable and the staff is friendly, always willing to help! I'll definitely come back 🤍

First experience as a hostel traveler and we have to say that it was great! Super clean with a warm environment and very kind stuff! Very close to any public transportation (uban, Sban, tram, fex line etc). The neighbourhood is colourful and clean and close to many vintage shops and restaurants. You should visit it. From the Greek gods ❤️

Really nice staff, clean rooms and amenities

A very cozy hotel in a very good location. The staff was very nice. The room was clean and sunny. The price was very good compared to other options at the time of booking. The room was not big, but this is not the type of accommodation where you would spend the whole day inside. Highly recommend!
