No matter when you visit this place, it is always a fascinating mixture of pride in the resistance that few have offered and shame that too few have resisted.

.... the Bendlerblock, closely linked to the name of Colonel Claus Graf Schenk von Stauffenberg, this was his workplace, the headquarters of the General Army Office, but also the place of his execution after the failed assassination attempt on July 20, 1944 .... . The exhibition about the SILENT HEROES on the upper floor shows the individual fates of Jewish people and their helpers during the Nazi era. This was frightening for me, very informative and lasting. Despite my extensive previous knowledge, this exhibition left a deep impression on me. In addition to the individual fates, I was also interested in the showcase on the subject of passport forgery... The impressions gained cannot be summarized in a few WORDS; what happened back then must first be processed.

In this place you can learn very hard stories of the Jewish people who were hiding in Berlin when the city proclaimed itself a city without Jews. In this place you can read about their struggles and their bravery in hard times without justice. It is a museum that is not so well known by travelers but, in my opinion, it is very important to visit it for the catharsis it offers. After leaving this site, it becomes clearer to you what kind of person you want to be.

Lots of copies of original leaflets at the low price of 10 cents. Hanuta was also tasty and one guy's beard was just pornographic.

This exhibition is so well done. Touches the soul and brings to light stories that were not known to the general public. A must for every visitor to Berlin.

Good to "reflect" on this piece of history. It made me melancholy to be at the place where Claus Schenk von Stauffenberg was shot. The museum visit shows a lot in photos and text about many resistance fighters and victims of the Second World War. It very informative.

The Silent Heroes Memorial Center is dedicated to ordinary Germans who found the courage to help their persecuted Jewish neighbours through such actions as providing food, hiding people or obtaining fake ID cards. Using documents, photographs and objects, the exhibit illustrates 10 case studies of both successful and failed rescue attempts.

Incredible museum shows the small hand makes grand efforts to others. Not just heroes, also too many SHEROES. Free entry, free toilet, lovely and friendly staff A wonderful exhibition about how people survived during World War II if they showed resilience and helped politically persecuted people under difficult conditions. Most of the people mentioned in history classes are men, but a large number of women appear in this exhibition, including chefs, lawyers, farmers, secretaries, factory workers, etc. It is worthy of being used as a history textbook and teaching material. Free tickets and toilets
