Great place to get pastries and treats for anyone craving to satisfy a sweet tooth. Plenty of options for gifts as well! Not too sweet like its American counterparts, but just right. I got a box of holiday cookies and was not disappointed. These were perfect with tea and coffee.

Simply the best bakery with large variety to satisfy every sweet tooth! All time favorite is Forest Fruit - very light cake and cream with freshest berries. Always a great chose, even if you didn't order your cake or pastry in advance.

They did such a good job with my daughters birthday cake! Taste was perfect as always! Perfectly moist and perfect amount of sweetness for the buttercream! Basia did such a great job at designing the cake and took my ideas and made them exactly as I imagined!

We had Oak Mill Bakery make our wedding cake and it was just amazing. The experience of visiting to taste and decide on the type of cake we wanted was so fun - it was such a nice experience and Basia was a pleasure to work with. The cake was DELICIOUS. We got so many compliments from guests mentioning how good it was. A family friend of ours came up to us and said it was the best wedding cake he ever had! We were so happy we took home the top tier so we could enjoy it as well, it was exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend Oak Mill!

This review for Oak Mill Bakery is overdue but I have to shout out their amazing team at both the Niles and Arlington Heights locations for their diligence, attention to detail and organization. Basia, at the Niles location, was so attentive to my questions and that of my small tasting group as we prepared and planned the sweets table and cake for our October wedding. Her suggestions were authentic and rooted in what would work best within our budget as well as based on usual "fan favorites" that we'd still enjoy. Her patience and organized correspondence, as well as the fluidity with which her team coordinated with our venue-location coordinator was seamless - I didn't have to play the "middle man" in any correspondence or communication. Oak Mill was on top of everything! Not only this, but I still have family and friends reaching out asking where we ordered our kolaczki (a Polish favorite) and cannolis (an Italian favorite). Basia was mindful of budget when building in these special cultural connections through our choice of sweets, too...and it was scrumptious to match! Our cake was outstanding and both the dessert table and served cake were almost completely cleared by the end of the night. A major hit! Now that we are coming up on our one-year, Bill at the Arlington Heights location has been incredibly helpful in creating an Anniversary Cake. This is a special service Oak Mill Bakery offers - a smaller version of your original wedding cake. What's best is Bill went out of his way to look up our original order, making my side of making arrangements extra simple. This will be an added special bonus to any anniversary, to be sure. A big thank you to the Oak Mill Bakery team!

My mother and I have been ordering from here the past perhaps 5+ years every year for my mother’s birthday. Finally my husband and I were married last month and Basia helped us to come up with our dream cake. Goofy and unique, like us. The split cake came out wonderful and all our guests agree it was DELICIOUS

NO MORE! The cakes used to be wonderful. But that was a long time ago. Now, these are so sweet you can't actually eat it. Even Jewel cakes now taste better than these. My husband ordered the Black Forest Cake. It was terrible. No fruits on top, very little inside the cake. The top tasted terrible, only a small portion on the bottom was okay. To pay $65 for a small cake for that taste is just wrong! Nobody really wanted to eat it after one slice. It stayed in my fridge for a week. I wouldn't call it European style anymore, mediocre at best. You don't have to go for sweets neither since many European grocery stores sells them. Instead pick Olympia Bakery, better cakes, better prices, and taste like European cakes.
