Amrita conducts the Heritage Walk of Nashik Old Town. This was a new experience for us to explore the city with an expert on the subject. It's an enriching two hour guided walk where Amrita explains the history, architecture, culture and traditions of the area. Nashik as a weekend getaway is known to tourists only as the place famous for its wines and vineyards. However, this walk opened up various facets of the city to us. The ghats of the Godavari, Panchawati, Sarkarwada, Kalaram Mandir, Bhandi Bazaar were the various iconic places we covered in this walk. Amrita also treated us to some spicy lip smacking Misal and Vada. It's a buzzing part of town and everyone should experience the vibrance and the history of the place. Thanks to Amrita for conducting the walk with passion and pride for her town Nashik. All the best.

The walking tour simply gave so much depth to our whole Nashik feel. A walk that offers interesting insights of Nashik's unsung aspects of heritage gems. Made us realize that Nashik's historic significance is so underrated. The stories hidden in the small lanes of Panchvati area are a delight to hear during the two hour walk. All in all we found it to be wonderful medley of stories around historical events, heritage conservation and destruction, religious sentimentality 'Wada' architecture and strong cultural clusters . Amrita's in-depth knowledge, passion for heritage and a strong local connection is what makes this walk a must-do for visitors. What we wish we would have done differently was to start the trip with the walking tour instead of ending it... Coz it leaves you wishing for more.

As someone who has spent some childhood years in Nashik, revisiting some popular locations gave me a new context and understanding. It’s a two hour of walk, but times flies. Amrita shares superb insights which aren’t just mythological or religious, but also historical, cultural and social. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to get to know Nashik city at a deeper level.

Had a great time exploring Nashik with Amrita as she showed me around some of its hidden heritage that bears testimony to its cultural importance. Would highly recommend taking a walk with her as she brings in her own stories growing up in the area.

How do you explore a new city/town? You walk. And that's what we did on a Wednesday morning with Amrita who runs Nashik Heritage Trails. We were visiting Nashik for the first time, and Amrita took us on an absolutely lovely walking tour of Panchwati, Ganga ghats of the river Godavari and bits of Old Nashik. It was a refreshing experience to absorb the culture, history and visual aesthetics the city had to offer. And of course, the food! We had a great, enriching time understanding the cultural heritage of yesteryear Nashik and it's continuous living traditions. I will fully recommend going on a walking tour with Amrita to get an authentic experience of what Nashik is all about :)

Amrita is the real deal! She knows her stuff when it comes to Old Nashik. As a foreigner who is visiting India for the first time, I also appreciated Amrita’s willingness and skill to provide additional background info so that I could more fully understand the cultural and historical significance as it relates to India.

Amazing!!! This is the only word which comes to my mind post my first Heritage walk. Amrita has indepth knowledge of the area in and around Nasik. Being a nasikkar i thought I knew about my city but I was so wrong about that, kind of eye opener actually. First walk was scheduled for an hour, later realised we were there for almost 3 hours and still wanted more. This all in almost 100 meter radius only, there are so many things to see there but you need a person who has knowledge. Amrita had done superb research and she continues to do it. I would recommend this all Nashikkar , people coming to Nasik, people who are interested in history, in short everyone. Keep up the great work team Nashik Heritage Trails Team. Looking forward for more such exciting walks in days to come..

It was good experience. Got to know about Nashik in a way i never thought of. We explored many temples, old structures, culture and food. Walking through the old lanes made me curious about the past and the life our ancestors lived. It was a walk full of knowledge with fun. It was a great opportunity. Such opportunity should not be missed. Looking forward for more such heritage walks.

Had a lovely morning with Nashik Heritage trails. Learnt about so many smaller stories that are hidden within its lanes. Definitely recommended for anyone visiting or even staying at Nashik! A little awareness might just help these structures from getting wiped away soon

The walk through the temples, lanes and ghat of old Nashik is so well curated by Amrita. She is a great storyteller who not only tells the history but weaves social & cultural context into it. Everything was very interesting & insightful. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking to see and understand Nashik beyond its wineries
