The placemats were dirty & fraying, food was subpar, the salads were not good and the borek was not fresh. I asked for a mix smoothie and the lady told me she only has oranges, which I understood I will get freshly squeezed orange juice. I am not sure if it was a language barrier misunderstanding, but I got oranje juice out of a bottle with a hint of pineapple, but got charged as if it was freshly squeezed oranje juice.

It felt like a tourist trap. The staff were friendly and helpful, that was okay. The food was however not very tasty and bland. It was like it was already made and had been cooking for ages - meneman was really poor hardly any egg and extremely watery. The salad was days old, the cutlery and tables were filthy... Just terrible really for what we paid. I don't believe this has a true 4.8 rating (Oct23) many, many reviews are no comment. Many commented reviews are disappointed customers - I've reviewed thousands of places so hoping this is a balanced one for people. There is a reason the negative reviews are common, would eat elsewhere next time.

The variety of food is more than enough, and fresh. The people here are also friendly and helpful. However, the place is not big enough, so they asked us if someone(we don't know) can sit together with us. When we said "no", they respect 🌸👍🏾

Cute cafe with a decent menu. The service was slack with no cutlery, things forgotten and the server looking very bored and disinterested. The food was Ok, nothing amazing. Breakfast as a whole was average, especially for €50 for two people.

The lady spoke little English but still really friendly. Never tried menemen before and would 100% have again. Big portions! Probably wouldn't need the salad next time but it's a nice idea

My colleagues and I found Cafe Pistazie on a recent business trip to Köln. It became our morning ritual to have breakfast here before going to the office because the food and coffee is wonderful and Emine (the owner) and her daughter treat you like family! (Bonus: they are open before 7 am!) I highly recommend the Menemen mit Sucuk, and for dessert the pistachio baklava. It is the very best! Thank you Emine! I will see you in September!

If you wanna have a great Turkish breakfast in Köln, just come here and taste menemen. It was the best menemen in town and also the owner was really kind and generous. The place is small but very cozy and chill. Loved it!

Amazing little cafe next to the Hilton. One of the best breakfasts I've had while here. I would suggest the Cafe Pistazie Special, the Menamen is great.

One of the best Turkish Brunch cafes not only in the vicinity of the train station, but in the city in overall. The service was truly fantastic, Family-Style with the usual spice, flair, and witty humor typical of Turkish folk. The food was sublime. The Menemem is an absolute must, and the baklava is to die for. Prices are also very good. All in all, a great experience. We'll look forward to coming by again!

Crowded space, service was ok. Ordered two dishes, a scrambled egg with tomato and a bread with jam. At nearly £10 each, I didn't think it was great value. Not sure why the rating is so high, overall 4.0 level.

Nice, small breakfast place close to the Dom. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was tasty. We ordered the scrambled eggs with feta cheese which came with bread and salad. It was very delicious and for a good price. Recommend stopping by for breakfast!

Ordered the Dominikaner with large portion of eggs. Split between 2 people at 8 am and we were content (not too full but not hungry) until lunchtime. I’m not an egg person but they were so buttery and the chives made them tasty! My husband is a big egg person and he would not stop talking about how great the eggs were. Everything was so fresh too! I had a chai latte and husband had hot chocolate. They were super tasty and warm on a cold rainy morning. We definitely will recommend to friends and family visiting Köln!

Tourists from the US: me and my girlfriend have a rule of no repeats when traveling. We went here 2 days in a row. Despite a language barrier the staff always had a smile on their face and helped us pick our order. The older women who works here was one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend!

I arrived and the woman that make the orders seems that was in a hurry and was a bit moody. Completely forgot to ask my order and took the order from someone that arrived after me. When I asked for the price of the food she did it not friendly at all. The other two girls were super friendly and their service was great (: the food was tasty :)

This was a great alternative to the over priced breakfast at the hotel next door. The staff were friendly, multilingual and quite inviting. The scrambled eggs in the breakfast for two were fresh and flavorful. All of the baked goods were top notch. Well done!

Cafe Pistazie is an unassuming but delightful surprise just a few blocks away from the central train station in Cologne. The staff was warm, welcoming and guided me through the menu to select a fantastic Turkish meal. Highly recommend for something quick and satisfying!

Very nice place for a meal, though also very small - we had to wait a bit to get a table but it wasn't very long and the food was more than worth it. People went and came the entire time, a very lively place. The food is lovely and the vegan breakfast option was amazing.
