Came here for Sunday late lunch. 6 of us entered and stood by the door for a minute in a restaurant that had only 3 tables filled. This servers were in their own little group chat with the bar/chefs. finally seated and then for fifteen minutes we were not seen to (still the restaurant has only no more than 5 tables seated). I had to wave them down for attention to get some drinks. drinks took about another fifteen minutes. they also took our starters order and were kind enough to get us one extra snack (portion of 6 in what is typically a portion of 5). food arrived around twenty minutes later. Good food. hot. Well presented. tasty. and the dips were one of the best I've had in any restaurants. When we were pretty much done the service again was slow. no awareness to clear the tables. never came to ask if we wanted a top up on our drinks. when we asked for the bill the staff handed us a receipt but did not return for another fifteen minutes (we again had to wave them down in a non busy setting). problem? the staff are in their own social bubble loitering around the bar chit chatting with the chefs. Poorly trained staff otherwise the food and decor and music and drinks were all pretty damn good. 🤷‍♂️

Slow service, reheated food, disappointing experience. Would not recommend. We had the 8 dish tasting platter (30£ per person), we hardly knew what we were being served and the dishes were super scattered. The dessert was one of the worst desserts I have ever had. The Arepa cocktail was good. Pastries were too thick and felt microwaved.

Good good. Thankfully we got seats straight away despite not having a booking. The food is good despite the servings being a bit on the small side considering the price. Staff were friendly. Oh, get public transport as opposed to driving.

Gave it another go, and was pretty much the same as last time. Service is OK, not very enthusiastic, just average. Food is a bit overpriced for what it is considering is street food. Taste is good and presentation is nice as well. Cachapas and tequeños are always a good choice, but you should try the cassava chips as well. The place is clean and well kept but music is always way too loud for a restaurant. Drop by if you want to eat some Venezuelan food with a London presentation.

Excellent service with very good and authentic Venezuelan food. I had a complimentary papelon con limon (Venezuelan lemonade with sugar cane, hard to find abroad) tequeños and the arepa Mariana. Everything was so good. The menu is different than the normal Venezuelan restaurants you can find abroad which makes it unique in a sense. The music is great too, there is a lot of light and it can be good either for a chill study time to perfect place to have drinks. It’s pet-friendly (or human friendly as they call it!) and so well decorated. I’m Venezuelan and I’m used to seeing Venezuelan restaurants abroad that are not taken care of and only base their branding on selling food from venezuela —this is the first time I see a Venezuelan restaurant where they actually took the time to make it pretty and attractive for people who are not familiar with our food. 100% recommend it!! Would and will come back (multiple times!)

Visited on a Wednesday evening in the middle of May. Had a good experience here. Tried one of the arepas and a cachapa. Both were quite tasty. Also had a lemonade, which was unusually sugary and not super refreshing. Prices seem fair. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and look forward to coming here again to try more of the menu.

Coming with friends during weekday, it is a cozy place that could allow us to chat like 3hrs, great place to chill & chat. The price segment of the food is quite budget friendly .But the portion is relatively small that some people might need to order 2 dishes to be full. Overall , the service is friendly and people there are cheerful 😃 it’s a lovely experience for me to try Venezuelan food 🥰

Great service, atmosphere and food with some vegan options. We ordered the yuca fries and black bean plantain areas. These were delicious and served with garlic aioli (need to give more, though, especially for the yuca fries). Service was fast. No good dessert options for vegans (only sorbet) but the starters/mains were nice at a reasonable price!

Amazing! The food was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted so fresh. The tequeños were so fluffy and the guava juice was so refreshing. My husband is from Venezuela and I have never found a restaurant with cachapas before. The vegetarian Del Campo one was superb. The waitress was super friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself was super clean with a relaxing atmosphere. They also have outdoor seating. 100% recommend.

Visited in June 2023. 3.9/5. We came for the first time to celebrate Father’s Day and it was an overall decent experience. We had tried arepas elsewhere and were looking forward to it. While it wasn’t the best I’ve had, it did have flavour. The portions were concise. The service was satisfactory, we did ask for everything to be brought out together, but that didn’t happen, so one person was eating ahead of two others. The place itself was vibrant, warm and welcoming otherwise. However, it is worth a punt but nothing I’d drop in a hurry for.

The place is a perfect hidden gem and my first ever experience with Venezuelan cuisine. The food was lovely, very tasty, Yuka fries were a very pleasant surprise, tres leches cake for dessert was awesome. Very friendly service and a cosy atmosphere.

Last night, I had a pleasant and delicious dinner at this place. The Cachapas were delicious!! And the Yuca fries - from the starters were a but oily but very good. Good portions. Dessert is a bit overpriced. Nice staff. Comfy seating and lovely decorated! The toilets could be cleaner but the place itself is stunning 😍and the staff were nice as well. Also I would recommend the sugar lemonade was very tasty! Go get a cachapa pabellón! I truly enjoyed and will be back before the year ends! 🤩

I had my first arepa and really enjoyed it! The yuca fries are delicious - recommend ordering those! I found the toscan avo tasty but heavily overpriced as it was so small and there was only one piece. The vegan breakfast was super filling and the arepa was perfectly made.

First time having brunch at Arepa, and it was a great experience. Food is tasty and well presented, and this natural juice was yummy. Definitely a fulfilling brunch indeed. Restaurant is not too big indoors but it feels comfortable, and its decor is beautiful. 100% recommendable.

Lovely food, drinks and ambiance. Not 5 stars as the second time I was there their heater was not working at it was extremely cold inside. Also one of the drinks didn’t initially arrive and had to ask for it twice. Otherwise lovely place and probably much nicer in the summer.

First time eating Venezuelan food. The website has photos of everything on the menu which helped as I had no idea what to get. Everything was very tasty!

I had never had Venezuelan food before, and I was pleasantly surprised! I had the cachapas mariana, a wrap with black beans, cheese, avocado and plantain. Not usually a fan of anything sweet and sour, so I was worried that the plantain would clash with the rest, but it was not as sweet as I expected and I found it to be a nice combination. Overall, the food was nice and reasonably priced. I have a couple of small complaints. Our side of avocado was clearly not ripe, and despite us telling the waiter we were in a hurry a couple of times it took a while to be able to pay the bill. That said, I would still recommend this place to vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike who want to try something different!

Fantastic experience at Arepa & Co! The pork arepa is so good, and the fried chicken tapas as well. Genesis took good care of us, very friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back again and thanks for the cocktail on the house!

Amazing food! The fried chicken and yuca chips were 10/10, I could have just had a double portion of these as a main. We had a lovely waitress called Salma that was very helpful and had excellent customer service.

One staff member was really rude to us. From the moment I arrived he was very shirty about me making a mistake with the booking - pretty sure this was a glitch with the online booking system. It was boiling in the restaurant but he told us off in a very rude manner for moving to an empty table with a bit more breeze, even though his colleague had said we could move when a table became free. 2 stars for the mojito and the two nicer waiters. The fried chicken was overcooked and the food was very stodgy (may have partly been poor ordering on our part!)

I’ll never forget the day my friend Lorenzo suggested to the group who’s backing Arepa? I was nervous at first but as soon as we called to book, we quickly realised this meal would be nothing short of elite. The greatest experience of my life so far and the food was incredible too. #PetraTheGoat

Lovely spot. Super friendly staff, delicious and filling food. Our waiter kindly substituted the garlic mayo with a vegan roasted red pepper dip to accommodate my dietary needs as well. Vibey music and atmosphere!

Food was fantastic, the restaurant mood was really nice but most importantly the staff were really nice, helpful, and genuinely happy to interact with you, even dancing to the beat of the music. What a happy place. Would love to dine outside next season!

Don’t dismiss this one ⭐️review. I rate very fairly and my experience here was poor on every level - ordering system, staff, misleading options and the cooking … We asked if we could order through the waitress - no use the App. There were dishes marked with vegan options, but it ever said how the dish was altered to make it vegan (different sauce, substituted ingredients, etc) and when ordering, there was no way on the App to inform the chef we wanted it as a vegan option. Calling the waitress back she had no idea about what the vegan option actually were and said “just order and I’ll let true chef know”. It’s one of those fingers crossed moments and as a process it would fail if someone had a severe allergy as there no evidence trial. Shocking really. We ordered Tajadas, Toston Avo, Apero Del Campo and Yuka Fries. When it arrived it was clear that they have not grasped the concept of ‘vegan option available’. To them a vegan option is to remove anything which isn’t plant based and that’s it. That’s not and option, that’s reducing what you pay for and turning the dish into something else. Tajadas £6.50. Plantain with parsley and no sauce at all. It was dry but to make it worse, it and had been under a hot lamp so long it had dried out complexity. It was shocking - check out the comparison pictures. Toston Avo £6.50. I thought they couldn’t screw this up but they did. The topping were nice, but the plantain crostini was so thin and had been cooked so long it only tasted of oil and was really greasy. See image of the grease afterwards. Apero Del Campo £9.75. Plantain, black beans, avocado and cheese. But they had no vegan cheese. Still, it should taste nice still as the avocado will provide moisture? All the plantain was at the top, the bottom was tasteless and it was full of a watery liquid (from the beans presumably). It was an unpalatable liquid mush. See image. Yuka Fries £6.75. They were good but the sauce was not a garlic mayo. Just something they had which was vegan with no garlic in it. The waitress plonked it all on our table and never said a word. She never returned to ask us how it was and was too busy talking when we left, so what was the service charge for 15 seconds of walking? I never got to give them feedback and felt robbed. How a business or chef can think this is acceptable is beyond me. Would I recommend - I’d suggest you avoid it. Would I return - Never

Great presentation and very generous portion size however the food lacked flavour, beans and sweet potatoes were quite under seasoned. Friendly service for takeaway. This was the veggie option and I found it all too sweet, needed more of a kick of spice as well as more savouriness. The side sauce wasn’t very pleasant either maybe some tweaks to the recipe might do.

It's practically only a sandwich shop that serves simple food with fresh ingredients. Portion sizes are quite small relative to the prices. I would say it's worth a visit if you want a quick hearty meal. However, it's not a place you'd want to revisit as the menu is very limited.

First time in a Venezuelan restaurant and it did not disappoint! This one is just tucked away in Bethnal Green not too far from the station. The food was fantastic and we got deceptively large portions. It can be a little tricky to eat but it's worth it. I didn't expect much from the cassava fries but they was fantastic too. I would recommend getting a sorbet at the end as they are delicious and it helps with a pallette cleanse at the end of a heavy meal. I would go here again!

We popped in here for brunch and loved it. Nestled under stone railway arches, we had some fantastic food. The service was friendly, and they were really happy to have our dog inside. They even have a dog menu. The staff were lovely, the place was clean and comfy, the atmosphere was great. I definitely recommend this one. They also seemed to be good with families with kids and groups.

I had a fantastic experience at Arepa & Co! The Toston Beef and Yuca Chips were the definite food highlights of the evening. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive and the manager came to help navigate some dietary requirements at our table which was very much appreciated. The music was spot on. I look forward to going back again in the future.

Food is good but not outstanding either. Slightly pricey given the amount of food given. Went there twice in one year and wouldn't go more often than that. Staff is friendly. In short, it's ok but nothing more than that.

Came here for an early dinner. Our waiter was polite & friendly. All of the dishes we had were really interesting combinations of flavours and delicious. Portion size was good too. We had the Yuca chips, Polo Fritto Arepa, Pork Cachapas, and three cheese Cachapas. Definitely recommend it to try Venezuelan cuisine.

The surroundings and ambiance are great. The place is located behind a hotel under train rails which provides an escape from the hussle and bustle of the city. Outdoor seating is offered as well. Regarding the food I have got to say it was mediocre. Had the Venezuelan brunch chicken plate. It was not bad but at the same time it felt very basic. Something that anyone could put together in a short notice.
