I love their lobby, which is overwhelmingly gigantic and gorgeous in a Japanese style. The room is rather spacious with a panoramic view of the Niigata countryside, covered with beautiful green rice field. Their onsen is pretty huge, and the water contains plenty of sulfur, which is of course no harm and believed to be good for health. That said, my kids enjoyed the pool rather than onsen.

Awesome place if you want some night in a very luxurious hotel with all the benefits (spa / Hansen / typical restaurant ...) That go along with. Not many English speaker tho, but a very beautiful place.

The panoramic view of Niigata and the mountains are so therapeutic and beautiful. The room for 5 pax is huge too. What I love about this place is their lobby which is luxuriously huge as if I stepped into a rich residence. If you want an Instagrammable ryokan to stay, I highly recommend this place as the service is OUTSTANDING and the experience is one of a kind. <3 They have been exceedingly welcoming to us (even though we are foreigners.) Trying their best to translate as much as they can to assist the check in. I really appreciate their service and their hardwork. Knowing the industry is not easy to work in but seeing them always smiling entices me to visit once again!! The pricing of the hotel is value friendly too!! Other ryokans near tourism areas like Takayama, Kusatsu etc etc have much more higher pricing and subpar service. Edit: The owner of the hotel has trained her employee's service to be top notch (and this is coming from someone who is working in the same industry) I have seen her overlooking the dinner service and also walking around the lobby to make sure the check out procedures be done seamlessly. She exudes the traditional Japanese elegance and mannerism, I'm glad to have met her just right before checking out. I would definitely bring more friends and family to visit this place again!!
