Great location for walking, dog walking, biking and fishing. The network of trails allows you to take in great views and get some much needed peace and quiet. Also great for photo enthusiasts to get shots of the Front Range and the many beautiful sunsets. Parking is limited so you'll have to plan accordingly. Trails have a level, crushed gravel surface that is comfortable to walk on.

We love taking walks and taking our dogs here. Anytime if year it's vast, open feel and the lakes, pathways and benched, including restrooms, makes it ideal for the two-footed family and the four-footed family to get plenty of exercise! Love Longmont!

I am greatful for a place like this that we can all experience - From Bird Watching to Fishing and an easy walking 3 mile or so figure 8 loop there is something for everyone. I am reminded that people travel far and wide to come to Colorado to experience the wonders that we have here.

Easy walk on well maintained walkways. Both trails are about 3 miles total. Enjoyed watching ducks, geese and heron. Very beautiful walk, not far from town.

Great loopy trail, with a lot of water and wildlife. The parking lot can get full, but for a flat decently long hike, there is a lot to see. Very accessible from Longmont/boulder county.

This is an awesome place for birdwatching. Ospreys, great, blue, heron, and amazing number of water fowl, and endless supply of Redwing blackbirds. It’s a great place.

It's a very nice place to get out for a walk, dogs are welcome on leash, and the atmosphere really makes me feel like I'm back in Nebraska at my late grandmother's lake house due to the surrounding farmland. I like to get out early for the sunrise, they're always spectacular.

Nice short hike around multiple lakes. Lots of bird types. Bathrooms available at trail head. Nice walk with dogs. Across 75th street are more walking paths.

Great spot to get in a quick early morning or evening easy walk. Love taking the dogs here and gazing at the mountains. Also love watching all the little planes fly around. Parking is tricky if the lot fills up. Can often be pretty crowded

Excellent bird watching - lots of waterfowl, raptors, robins and small song birds. Check out nearby Crane Hollow road - the ponds North of it have trees with Blue Herons nests. The Herons return in early spring and are a magnificent sight. Please don't disturb them - easy to view with binoculars from the roadside.

Be sure to look in the trees (especially in winter to find the hidden β€˜ornaments’. So much fun for the kiddos.

Nice, big trails. Partially shaded and flat. My dog loves it.

One of the nicest casual walks through a myriad of ponds with big cottonwoods, level paths (wheelchair friendly), tons of waterfowl, eagles, and in the spring blue herons nest in the back area along the St Vrain. Plenty of toilet facilities on both sides of 75th. No need to have to dodge cyclists as it's a no bicycle park.

Nice hiking area for 1ish hr outing, a lot of lakes and wooded trails on west side of road. Not too crowded.

Lovely walking trails out by the old mining ponds. There's a rookery in the far end, and the ducks of all ilk love to gather, including some rarer ones with the change in weather. It's far enough out that it is never all that crowded, and even when the parking lot is half full the grounds are so huge that there's plenty of room to roam. I love the trees, the ponds, and the view of the mountains.
