👍👍 One of my favorite places to go for a mental health break! Not only is it beautiful but it's very peaceful for someone looking for a quick and easy getaway. Every time I go it always feels like I'm the only one there, I rarely run into others even if there's cars in the parking lot. People often mention trails, nature, river, people,

Lots of access points to the creek and many great spots for a picnic if you're willing to sit on sand. Kids loved it. We got to see ducks and geese. No bathroom or water fountains though so come knowing that! My picture isn't as flattering but the rest have pictures of my kids haha

This is such a beautiful and relaxing place to take a walk and enjoy the peace that nature brings. Nice easy trails, and it's rarely crowded. Swing by around sunset for some amazing views of wildflowers and reflections of the trees on the water.

Wonderful dog friendly hike with unique trails and river access. Didn't have the time to see all the trails, but we're excited to go back!

Great place! Entrance is right off Hague Road. Three short trails in the woods which are all connected. There is also big field in front mowed for walking in the sunshine. Dog loved it! Care is taken for instruction on being 'one' with nature like scraper for your shoes to avoid dispersing invasive species, informative signage on soil & water, etc. Lots of benches for relaxing and soaking in nature. Did not use portapotty.

Hague Road nature Haven is such a nice quiet place. But for the love, people, when you pick up your pet waste in a bag please take it with you. It's not really that helpful if you leave the plastic bags along the trail.

It's beautiful but the mosquitoes are so bad that even with bug spray my toddler and I cannot walk on the trails. Also, two different people didn't have their dogs on leashes there and one of the dogs jumped up on me while I was holding my toddler. Thank goodness it was a friendly dog and not one that could have really hurt either of us, but that seems a little ridiculous to me. Keep your dogs on leashes people.

Great piece of 'public land' has a great open field and many spots along the river to ponder about life. Has a portapotty I've never used but hey its there. Also, there's about 15 spots or so to park a car so can't handle too many people fyi.

Wonder place to go creek stomping, shell collecting, and rock skipping. It is definitely a hiding gem!

Just nature. Plenty of access points to the creek. A little close to 38 even when you are aways in. Supposedly it will be developed at some point in the future.

This is one of my favorite nature parks. It's a short little hike along a fun creek good for shells hunting, rocks, and good old fashion creaking. When there aren't a lot of people we ride are bikes along the trail. My only complaint is the trails aren't long enough. I wish they followed the river through town.

Great place for a short run or walk with nice places to stop and relax along a stream

This is an incredible park designed for awesome dogs who like to have fun. The terrain changes year round as the river floods and recedes. In the dry months, the river is the most perfect dog swimming hole you'll find in central IN. Not too cold, not too deep, not to fast running. Many people have dogs unleashed; beware if that's intimidating to you ... as I said, it's a dog friendly park in world that needs more!

I moved to the state back in January and so far this is the best nature trail that is close to where I live. There are many paths and it feels like I could walk this many times and keep finding new things. :)
